I loved your video! But how can I... dehydrate it? (I'm not sure if that's the term.) See, my crust ends up all moist, and when I cut the slices, some of it ends up in the pan. I need to somehow harden it and dry it.
Yes, definitely! I usually suggest baking it at 350 F for 12-15 minutes, but if you find that it's still a bit soft for your taste, you can try extending the baking time by a few minutes. You could also try reducing the temperature and baking it even longer - I haven't done this myself, but something like 325 for 20-22 minutes might get you the results you're looking for. Baking does run the risk of making the crust harder, so it's a balancing act between getting it firm enough to cut cleanly, and not so firm that it's not enjoyable to eat. But your ideal texture can vary depending on the filling you're using - very soft and moist fillings do well with a firm crust. I know this isn't a definitive answer, but hopefully it gives you an idea of the direction to go in. Please let me know how it goes if you give it a try!
Good idea using a measuring cup to push it down!
Great video
