I just wanted to comment about the working out part because people would recommend it to me throughout my life casually not that I was unhealthy or anything people would just talk about how good it was and I never felt the need to but then as I got older I felt worse and worse and heavier and heavier even though I really am not. I pushed myself to start a workout routine and a better diet and it is life changing it makes you feel good inside and out really. I can't believe I have been missing out all my life.

The last portion about the internal glow up and marriage! 💜 My husband and I married almost a year ago and I completely relate about the sense of calm. Being a wife includes trying to be my best self so that I can be the best me and teammate (wife) I can be. Still working towards it for sure but it’s a process 😂

I love Mrs. Midwest's channel! I've been watching her for about a year now. Regarding skin, removing sugar in all forms from my diet has eliminated my acne. I started this 18 months ago and I saw the results within the first month. It was an intended result and I'm super happy about it! Might be something for others to try.

Low carb is definitely great for the skin. Some people are also really triggered by dairy.
I used to like Mrs Midwest but I did find some stuff in her past that is concerning. I’m not the type of person to purge those who have said some things in the past, but what she was associating herself to was not too long ago and concerning.
She had followed some white supremacy type content, in which she liked a post that said “my ancestors didn’t race mix”. Followed people like Roosh V and other very misogynistic creators.
I’m not the one to label everything as that, but she is one of the rare circumstances that deserves to be looked at. You can dismiss my post or blatantly ignore it, but I would highly suggest doing a few google searches on her relating to this.
I am a huge fan of Aly Art and Abby herself.
I totally love the message of dressing how you want and not to just follow trends, and the classic aesthetic is beautiful! The problem comes in when you try to push what makes YOU happy on everyone else because every person is an individual and there is no bad way to look and present yourself. As long as you’re doing what makes you happy and you aren’t hurting anyone.

Ok so because she went to an all girls school she “didn’t care what she looked like”... because she only looks nice for men?
I think she just meant she didn’t think of it until then... being around the gender you are attracted to does bring out a different perspective on beauty. I see girls say all the time that they will dress differently because there will be men around. Little girls might go out with 7 pony tails a fairy skirt and stripped leggings and feel like an absolute princess- because everyone deserves to( I sure did!) . It’s just what makes you feel better in that moment and more comfortable. Your idea of looking “nice” changes as you mature. Sexuality usually acting as a contributing factor. :) I don’t think she meant to say dress for men, just that it had an impact in which point in her life she matured out of the “I don’t care” phase.
Bottomline, she takes care of herself for herself and it contributes to how she feels.

I am turning 40 in a few months and only found makeup youtube in 2018. I felt clueless my whole life. So much now can be learned online, I learned to knit via verypinkknits RUclips channel, then I went into make up, photography drawing etc. I’m grateful for Abby adding to my healthy diet of self esteem, and self actualization. I started highlighting my hair blonde about a year ago, and now I’ve gone mostly blonde to emulate Carolyn Bessette. Currently, I don’t heat style my hair (occasional blow dry) to assure it stays healthy. Instead, I’ll use foam curlers (my boyfriend says I look like a grandma in them) or will do up dos/half up, half down hairstyles.
I enjoyed the video, but it would have been more fun if she had inserted pictures from the time periods she was referencing.
Yeah, really poorly done video. She’s really low effort and lazy when it comes to making these go above and beyond. Definitely won’t be rewatching, there are much better vloggers out there who actually put forth the effort.

I think my glow up started when I lost 60 pounds. Still going on my weight loss journey, but a lot of other things came with it: learning how to dress for my body type, eating healthier, taking care of my skin etc. I just turned 30 and realized that I didn't want to spend my 30s like I did my 20s: uncomfortable in my skin and miserable. Loved this video. You're definitely an inspiration 😊

Dying your hair can be good, but if you're like me and don't get your roots done when needed it's better to skip it if you care about your looks - or do an ombre instead. I stopped highlighting my hair blonde a year ago and am back to my natural color now because of this... turns out I have a bit of a curl to my hair too which I think the bleach might have killed.

Not gonna lie, never really been that into make up. I do it when we’re going to go out or if I want to look specifically dolled up that day for my husband, but I am a mom of four kids (One of which has severe autism) and I just don’t have time to do that kind of stuff every day or even couple of days a week LOL 🤷🏽♀️

I feel this as a mom. I don’t go all out every day but I try to “glow up” my life in ways that keep me healthy or make my life more full. I make sure to take vitamins daily or read for 15 minutes. It’s a true balancing act.

Not hate-watching an advertisement that you know you hate. Not all RUclips ad's have to be ones you agree with. She paid for ads to get more viewers who had the same views as her, but she also attracted viewers who disagrees with her views and opinions.The “trolls” and “negative” commenters that you mentioned aren’t commenting hate towards Abby, they are calling out her hypocrisy like for example glowing up means becoming better towards yourself and others and respecting everyone’s personal decisions. Yet she doesn’t respect women’s choices for their own bodies like abortion by choice and hooking up with random guys for fun. In her videos, she’s basically saying “you have your choices and rights to act free but you probably shouldn’t do that because it is disrespectful and doesn’t go with my views and opinions”. Every single second that you support Abby, the more power men have over women, and the higher the chances a girl gets her life ruined because someone told her it’s wrong and murderous to have a abortion of a child that they know they don’t want. Hating on someone for their views is different from calling out a persons damaging comments that blocks or lessens another persons human rights to be free.

Luna Moon so you agree, my views are important enough to be the main subject of a protest. “Shit” isn’t being thrown at Abby, she’s uploading contents that can suppress a women’s full experience of life and that is very mentally damaging, it can cause a women to develop disbelief in themselves and cause them to think there are boundaries to what she can and can’t do while any human being is capable to making decisions for themselves. What Abby is doing is trying to alter a women’s mind and make her believe she needs guidance on how to women. I have already mentioned this already: hate is not being dispersed when someone is speaking up about ones belief downgrading another persons belief especially if it begins to limit an individuals free choice. Abbys opinion is unaccepted the second she limited another women’s choice and telling her what to do. Abby is a conservative who believes the old way works better, that’s what all women thought back then, but we all know those same women were turned into suffragettes who fought for the human rights you have right now. As human civilization continues, it thrives and improves instead of staying in one place. When a women finally sees the inequality between wife and husband, that is the time she will thrive.

Early! Same, it was definitely not instinctive and natural to be “classic” for me. But sometimes improvement means going against your instincts and natural inclinations. And for the record, before someone says something, I mean overall. Not just focusing on outward appearances. If you focus only on that, that’s superficial, not necessarily overall improvement.

If I was the only person in the world I would really not give a shit about what I looked like 🤷🏻♀️ We all dress to impress others to some extent.

I recall my classic glow up in my freshman year of high school when I met my friend who tried to get me deep into church stuff. I admired her style and she has impacted me as a person and my style..it didn’t take a year or so until I realized how much I admire the classical look she rocked! So I went to thrift stores and bought many long skirts and I realized how comfortable and confident I felt !
