My son is not an aggressive rider and does not race MX. We woods ride only. That said I moved him from a pig 110 to a kx65 and now to a kx85 and the difference was night and day better for him. He lugs the 2 strokes around the yard and on trails. The bikes are light, great suspension, kick start easy, and handle better. Their proportionally correct in size for his size. We are very careful in using non eth gas and amsoil dominator mix oil. We’ve never had a plug foul. Hope this helps.

Good Job - highly appreciated. Since the KLX is not so well equipment with good Suspension, my question is: does it make sense to get the front forks from the KX onto the KLX?

It's a popular modification. I have never tried it, but I've seen a lot of people do it online. The only problem is that your suspension will still be limited in the rear. Personally, I think if you need KX forks on a KLX, you should probably just get a KX unless you prefer the slower, but smoother power of the KLX.

I really really wish I had the KLX140 but I have the KX85 I was 10 years old when I got it and all I knew was cool fast racing bike and I wanted to learn how to race but quickly realized that’s not what I actually wanted and really I’m the type to enjoy trail riding with a more safer controllable and convenient cruiser but they’re quite pricey and right after I got that KX85 it depreciated so much so that now it’s not worth near as much as new and my dad got it for me obviously and he doesn’t want to sell it yet doesn’t have the money to buy a new trail bike so yeah sort of a situation but I’ll either get used to riding a racing bike on the trails where it’s not really meant to be or talk him into getting me a trail bike and be able to life the dream of weekend cruising on a quiet simple 4 stroke trail bike !

2 strokes are alot of fun on trails once you learn to control it, trust me the 4 stroke is just a lesser bike with lesser suspension, tell your dad to buy you a flywheel weight, cost 50 bucks and will tame the power and help with stalling

The KX85 is a great bike for trails. My son is 12 and lugs his kx85 in the woods for miles. Great suspension, light weight, and great power when needed. I assure you’d be wishing like heck to have the kx85 back after a ride on a klx140. The grass always seems greener on the the other side but in this case I promise it’s not. Enjoy that awesome bike your dad bought you!

Buy American vehicles! Dirtbikes are toys & not made by any American manufacturers etc. American manufacturers make great vehicles.👍👍💯

Plus ford gm and ram suck. I hated mine. Toyota has literally never failed me one time and I own 3 now.

The winners are on yamahas and hondas and never with stock suspension.
