honestly the whole game is incredible, its the most warhammery warhammer game ive ever played, had an absolute blast playing it, and ofc the soundtrack is boss.
This track is good, but the one that pops during defense missions is the best, the mission taking place in the nice part of ... town (?) with the ships flying above.
Not gonna lie When Your character shouted "FOR THE GOD EMPEROR" and then the ost dropped and you started perfectly chopping him into the rythm of the song. I had chills everywhere on my body. even on my balls.
I love how they have reload sections say if you pull the mag out, if you start sprinting then reload again you don’t retake the old mag out again, just slap a new one in

I hope this game will get better optimization before release...Because god damn was it bad during the closed beta. Was playable during the tutorial, but during an actual mission it went bonkers
My frame rate on hordes dropped pretty severely, was considering upgrading my rig for it but i hear people with better cards are having the same issue.
@@JediBiscuits I had the same issue until I upgraded my Nvidia, that fixed a lot of the issues, crashes were the biggest issue for me, but those have been actually pretty rare lately, and I have been binging this game, cause GOD-EMPEROR! It is so satisfying to tear through elites and ogryns with a boltgun and tearing through Hordes with a Powersword. I can't wait to level my Zealot to get a Flamer and a Eviscerator. So meaty!
not to be an insufferable nerd, but the imperium isnt autocratic (at least not with the emperor in his current state), but they are definitely fascist lol
I'm 90% certain there are 'loop points' and such in the music that mean the song drops happen at/near the boss phases - and that it slows down or speeds up the damage to make sure that the drop happens on cue.... so code that times the shout (and possibly blows) with the music wouldn't be much more of a stretch.
I love this mission just for the boss and soundtrack, like I play Psyker so I can all class to level 30 and when that beat drop after I release Smite at the horde, like damn
Happened to me first playthrough. Frames went smooth damage went up adrenaline pumped and MY FUCKING SHOVEL GLOWED. (Everyone was down and I solo'd with only my shovel!).
At 0:19 the ax being in time was beautiful, but lets not ignore the axe also being perfectly timed on the offbeat at 0:36 too Glory to the God Emperor or something!

"staged reloads" is the technical term for that. You can see it in Insurgency: Sandstorm, too. One of my favorite mechanics in video games.

God, if anything, the sound design of this game is phenomenal. Soundtrack, the characters yelling tactical actions, the weapons. So atmospheric.

Works really well when you're doing early-game crowd control on the mobs with a devil's claw while the higher-levels headbutt the boss.
I get about 1 of these per mission, when I'm being an absolute wall for my veteran and then the music comes through perfectly

I genuinely think there's some line of code that times your shout with the music. It matches too well sometimes
