@@sidemunky Yeah I like the way the Boya sounded too. The synco was a little echoey but you did mention it was the room rather than the mic itself causing the extra reverb.
We just got the rode wireless ones and so far we love that it doesn’t pick up the background noise as much as the rode that we used to just put on top of our camera
Ya the rodemic sucks in noisy environment but directional mic is great too. But lapel mic is better i just wish there was a lapel directional mic. Them the synco is so clear
Hi yes we still have it, but only use it for certain scenarios. We still use a boya m1 lav mic though for youtube videos most of the time as it's just a bit more convenient to setup. If you're doing gaming, I'd probably recommend getting a USB microphone so you can record directly through your PC. Something like a blue yeti would probably be great :)
Hey Aaron. A very comprehensive review and learned a couple new things too. Great. Love the side by side comparison nd like that u gave some subjective input too and also took it out to test it outside nice work. lol the asmr with the lint roller and silverware too. Were u playing the guitar?
Been meaning to upgrade my mic for my stream. Thanks for this comparison. Would have been nice to have seen a comparison with a USB mic like a blue yeti. What's your opinion on those?
You're welcome buddy! I've never owned a blue yeti but did have a usb blue snowball that was decent for the price. I think they're better suited for studio recordings/streams and that kind of stuff.
I have a Boya Mic and I love it..that synco mic is quite impressive!! I can see the improvements compare to the rode mic the synco is really clear and crisp.
Wow, great vlog. Love the comparison of mics throughout the video.... . Thank you very much for nice sharing👍 ... 💘 😊 Supported everything, Waiting to visit 💘😊🔔💐

There are directional lavs, but there aren’t a lot, and the good ones are hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. I was able to get some improved sound isolation with the JK Mic-J 055 with similar sound quality to the 044 for a few bucks less, but the capsule is absolutely enormous, so it’s only for use if you don’t actually care if people see the microphone. (Might be good for interviews in reverberant environments, though.)
Skip over to 5:22 if you want to hear mic comparisons 👌👌
The Synco does sound good. To me the Boya sounds quite nice IMO too.
Very cool!

You can really hear how terrible the internal camera mic is!

Whhhat? You guys always have great sound in your videos! But yeah I think for most people mics like the ones Rode make for DSLR's do a great job.
Sorry if you mentioned this in the video but are these mics plugged directly into the Camera or a mixer of some kind?
The d2 needs something with xlr inputs :)
Love the comparison of mics throughout the video including the ones that happen outside.
Really gives a clear test
Thanks Aaron
You're welcome guys!

Great info and wonderful views, great video my friend !
Thank you!
Can I connect this mic to a mini xlr with phantom support?
Lol the sound clarity is very clear. There are no "gaung" or halo in English. Am i right lol.
Haha. Yeah we are really impressed with the sound quality!
Really useful to hear the different mic comparisons. Like! 👍👍
Sound is super important, great research and review of those mics my friend.
Thank you!
This reminds me I need to upgrade! This review for sure helps thank you my friend
You're welcome Alejandro! Glad you found it useful!
Good tests. You taught me a lot of things I didn't know about microphones before.
Are you currently still utilizing this microphone? is this the best budget microphone to start a RUclips channel and gaming in your opinion?

@@RudyVisuals thank you!
You never really notice how bad internal mics are until you hear them side by side with others. Good job on this review Aaron!
Yep this is so true!
A fan!! Nice !
Wow the audio is so crispy.
You had tons of props there Aaron 😂
And even playing guitar! You are a man full of talents
Hahaha thanks!
Great review. Interesting to hear the differences.

The hissing on the camera mic 😅
It does sound really good!
Mics are always a headache for us, there are too many options and audio is soooo important
When we have poor audio in a video we cringed

Yeah I do still like my boya mic though and will probably use it most of the time!

Yeah but I probably still use the rodemic like 90% of the time when I'm shooting outside.
