Nice list! Just about to start Kinfire Chronicles, will stick to 2 players. I'm glad you can finish the campaign "in a bunch of sessions" though, 'cos I was worried that we *wouldn't* be able to finish it in a bunch of sessions haha. Currently slogging through Isofarian Guard...sheesh, talk about a bunch of sessions. I'll be happy to see the back side of that game after only 1 campaign. Definitely a giant cull for me.
HAHAHA, yeah, talk about uselessly vague language. As I was editing the video I was like "did I just say 'a bunch of sessions'? How is that helpful information??" But to clarify, it's not a super long campaign, and it's quick enough that we were able to do 2, sometimes 3 scenarios and fights in one sitting, so I think we finished in 6-8 sessions, which isn't bad for a big campaign game. And yeah, I got through 1 campaign and a bit more of isofarian, but that was it for me sadly.
Great stuff. I find myself lately in that mode where I'm looking for games that aren't just good but a perfect match for me, and your short descriptions of why a given game was good but didn't quite thrill you were very helpful. -jesse
Glad you found it useful! I'm in a similar place as you for what I want to keep and cull. If my kids or I don't love it, it's unlikely to stick around.
