    I am now modding my M4 front suspension with the following:
    1) Silicone rubber tubing cut to length for each strut shaft, fitting (sandwiched) neatly between the spring and the shaft; above the larger and lower portion of the shaft base. Coating each shaft first with some marine grease to ease the fitment. I have cut 6 slits (vertical and) in line with the tube length (about 2~3 cm in length), equally spaced around the circumference of the tube cross section, midway between the top and bottom of each tube. This will weaken the tube when under compression.
    2) Rubber (or nylon) gasket rings for the top and bottom spring touch points.
    This will NOT turn these springs into a shock absorber, insofar as a true dampening effect. However, it SHOULD slightly stiffen the suspension and significantly quiet it.
    A cheap approach that hopefully solves the clanking (bottoming out) issue.

    • @AITechnology-1224
      @AITechnology-1224 2 месяца назад

      So did it work? Did it actually sort out the clanking off of the suspension?

      You already own the M4 Pro correct? And you want it to go faster than 45km/h?
      You would need a bigger battery (which is not possible because this scooters deck ain’t big enough)
      New controller which again would be very difficult because of the space.
      Bigger motor for more torque.
      Would cost way too much to modify this scooter. Want advice? Look at a scooter like the Varla Eagle One. I have a full playlist on my channel.
      Also don’t ever play around with batteries unless you know what you are doing. Extreme fire hazard.

    8:40 It appears Koogoo controllers tend to 'surge' of occasion - I've been cruisin' on mine (i'd stepped it down to 35kph max from the getgo) when it suddenly horsed in an extra 10kph - VERY disorienting/distracting, not to mention dangerous - so much like driving a Muskla, sorry, Tesla, stay alert - stay VERY alert.... not just on the M4. A random question has just now popped into my brain - is it possible the M5 will go bonkers-in-the-head just like the M5 nutter computer in Star Trek? Great video by the way, thank you.

    can you change the controller for a bigger amp rating for more speed& Acceleration? would you need to upgrade the stock bms on the 16ah battery

    • @Movelectrics
      @Movelectrics  Год назад +2

      I saw one guy changing the controller for more torque, that’s its really. Generally for more torque you need a bigger motor plus a bigger battery with a suitable BMS to avoid issues.
      Really not worth the hassle to do this. Better off just selling it and getting a more powerful scooter. All said, torque is ok on this and the range. But in a hilly area, definitely would not be great.

      @Movelectrics Hmm, interesting. Im thinking of getting the regular M4. What is your opinion for it? Im just in a really tight budget right now and this is my best offer. The other one is Mi 2 pro by Xiaomi, which is a little cheaper, but worse in a lot of ways. The key only on the M4 really got me. I just really like it and its the reason I'd skip the M3/Pro for the regular M4

    • @Movelectrics
      @Movelectrics  Год назад +1

      @NoName-je3cz my advice? Skip the M4. Old design, build quality ain’t there either. I had the M4 Pro and loved it UNTIL the M3 came along. So much better AND cheaper! It’s a no brainier in my opinion.
      Here is the full review of the M3 and it’s also on a great sale at the moment ruclips.net/video/wEcxB5D67oI/видео.htmlsi=M_5JagkW6BxuXC5F

    • @Movelectrics
      @Movelectrics  Год назад +1

      @NoName-je3cz M3 came out after M4 range. Only difference is in the M4 has seat.
      If you want my M4 Pro video you will see the issues I had, brakes, making it more water resistant, constant punctures.
      M3? Frame is rock solid. Better suspension (M4 range suspension is TERRIBLE)
      M3 is IPx7 (highest) rated compared to the IP54 rating on the M4.
      M3 has a brilliant motor with fantastic torque. Wider deck space and the list goes on. I would suggest watching my review.
      I would absolutely avoid the M4 because of the countless issues they have. M3 all the way ⚡️

      Most electric scooters are tested at the lowest speed with a very light rider, in absolute perfect conditions to achieve a claimed range. It’s not a ‘real world’ test.
      So, I test this M4 Pro going maximum speed and hills also in a cold climate. So 32km distance is actually not too bad on a 48v 16Ah battery.
      Are you new to electric scooters? If you are, you will learn that most ‘claimed range’ from manufacturers is not realistic for a majority of people.
      All said, the M4 Pro is still a great scooter.

    Do you notice that when your pressing the throttle, your battery sometimes goes 2 bars down and when you release the throttle, battery reading goes up again. Is that even normal? Btw, if you want to test your Kugoo M4 Pro for hill test, there are a lot of hill driving on Tallaght and just around the base of Dublin mountains. The Grand Canal is a good stretch to test cause its a long bike path, but less inclined pathways.

    • @Movelectrics
      @Movelectrics  Год назад +3

      Yes this is normal and called ‘sag’.. Voltage also drops when accelerating and increases when you are not.
      Hill tests I done in the video are about the normal most people would face. No point in me doing very steep inclines because that’s not practical for most people on a daily ride.
      That would be a good video on its own alright but to be honest, the M4 Pro ain’t a scooter for hills. A dual motor scooter like my Varla Eagle One is more suited.

    • @MrSpeedyduck
      @MrSpeedyduck Год назад +1

      @@Movelectrics that's quite a relief to hear. I thought I was imagining things when I thought I was on my last bar when riding and when I stopped for a while, my battery meter just went up all of a sudden, so at that time I don't know which reading should I believe in.
