They're (Gran is the canon MC though) in a coma state with Lyria, since MC and Lyria is bound together. So Katalina is temporarily leading to find a way to help them. At least that's what I get from the trailer so far.
@@Arteln I think Re link is a sequel from the app game version, which is probably spoiling me the ending of the app game if I am not mistaken about this game being a sequel to the app version.
Kurokami Reaper the app version's main story is still continuing though. Right now the story is currently on the 3rd arc. I think this is more of a grand story arc that doesn't relate to the main story like "What Makes the Sky Blue".

I hope that this game will be the next Nier Automata in terms of gameplay and quality.
I doubt the storyline, character arcs and music will reach Nier's quality but the gameplay and art design for this game is looking phenomenal.
