Amazing video. Makes perfect sense they invade Gomorrah, the Legion rules everything. They have no permanent allies, means to an end. Look at the tribes they conquered, Gomorrah is just another.
Knowing the Legion, it'd make more sense if each reinforcement also came with exponentially more recruits and fodder alongside the high ranking reinforcements.

Wow, even in WW2 modernized armies with MG43 machine guns, tiger heavy tanks and a lot of artillery support had great problems advancing through highly defended chokepoints being basically impossible even for such advanced armies, one only wonders how Caesar's legion armed with nothing but pistols, spears and machetes and rugby gear is able to go through hoover dam defended by power armored troops with flamethrowers, missile launchers, machine guns and anti-material rifles.
You obviously don't know how the Legion operates. They have a hierarchy that works as such ; recruits have to make do with melee/unarmed until they distinguish themselves in battle. The moment they do and rise up the ranks the more weaponry you are GRANTED for use on the battlefield eg: smg/shotgun/sniper etc. It's even shown that they were making deals with the Van Graffs to acquire energy weapons. The Legion is all about not being overdependent on technology because tech can fail in the most vital moments. Not to mention the Legion has better logistics and Intel units (Frumentarii) to deal with the enemy from within.

So the Legion at best has melee masters picking up guns months or years they could have been developing firearms skills in that time. Sure the Zulu's beat the Brit at Rourke's Drift, but the Legion could not realistically survive at the rate of attrition it would be hitting in nearly every battle with the NCR
@@yellowprime8491also here’s one thing the game doesn’t model. Barbed fucking wire. A good machine gun nest on a choke point with barbed wire would be hell for most legionary recruits to take. Of course some of them have firearms but you want dedicated sniper teams counter attacking those with the firearms to prevent them from threatening your position
NCR incompetence combined with skillful subterfuge and extremely rigorous training for legionaires. Most NCR troops are meh, with only really the rangers being all that good. The power armored soldiers are few, and from some dialogue I remember in the game, they're not particularly good at using power armor. This isn't the BOS. Plus the Legion has greater numbers. They, like the Soviets in WWII, can afford to throw wave after wave against a fortified position until it breaks.

The legions allies arent really allies. The legion seems to use allies as tools and then integrate into the legion. I feel ultimately gomorrah would be against the legion.

The only thing that irks me about this is canonically. the Americas and the white glove joined forces with the Legion so why would they be taking them out as well? They would get enslaved and subjugated not outright destroyed. good video though
Perhaps this is the ending where the Courier dies in Goodsprings, so the Legion did not have time to ally with the White Gloves, and the conspiring Omertas were taken out by House and/or Cachino. The Omertas are known for betraying everyone, so maybe they tried pulling something on the Legion that made them an enemy again.
I feel like even if the omerta sided with the legion the legion would still kill every single one of them unless they were okay with assimilating into the legion

There is a very nice mod that combines all of the strip into one cell. It’s very neat and brings the original intention of the devs back.
