Vietnamese women are among the most beautiful and feminine women in the entire world, and they love foreign men for a number of reasons, including the potential of traveling, getting a stronger passport, having mixed kids and moving abroad. You folks are missing a very crucial piece of information, and that is, the majority of Vietnamese women do not find elderly ex-pats to be attractive even if they offer financial security - which is why you will not find ex-pats walking around with young Vietnamese women on their arms anywhere in Vietnam.

Yes and no. Yes, if they don't have kids and are young. No, if they have kids and are older. Women with kids lose market value quickly. Most men won't accept a woman with kids.

It's called hypergamy... Western women suffer from it at a far higher rate. They get taught and incentivised by the system and the feminist movement.

From what I've seen, Vietnam could be a fine place for dating IF you're looking for something serious and you don't mind committing to one girl early on in the relationship. (Many of them do NOT like if you date around casually-ask me how I know, lol.) And I think learning the language would help a LOT, as well.
Personally, I think Thailand and Philippines are much easier places to find the kinds of more casual relationships I'm interested in at this phase in my life. And the current visa options are much better in those countries, too.
Agree with what you're saying. Vietnamese women are big picture thinkers and they want the full package.
I can relate a lot to this conversation. I remember when I moved to the states soon after I discovered I would have a trouble building personal relationship with local females. Every single girl I knew they would all have a boyfriend. I stayed single for years. Unlike in Russia, where I’m originally from, I had a different problem , I’d have to make a choice which girl I liked the most because there were always options to go after one or another.
Probably if I didn’t have a chance to visit my home country, I would never be married today.

I want to compliment Nomad Elite and his guest. These are real men. Men in the Bible always choose younger women. Many intelligent young woman who are not brainwashed to hate men, almost always seek strong independent lone wolf older men. Women seek a fun, romantic and successful life. Women can love, all the normal sensible feminine ones just say this to men? Do you best, make sure you win sometimes, keep your loses small and I will be your wife, have children with you and always back you up when enemies come to persecute you. U.K. the same, women with high standards which makes it even more difficult for the man but Vietnam sounds good. A man in his late ‘50s though might be difficult with age gaps but maybe not.

@@NomadElite Yes as women have gotten more independent, together technology and high expectations and the fast way of life, contrast that with my grandparents or my parents generation when life was a lot simpler. Not to say you can’t find a decent partner, my niece has married a wonderful chap and they are happy but it’s becoming harder in the West.
From what I have heard, the Philippines is the place for larger age gaps when you are late 50s or older
I’m fortunate to have a lady my age group from the Philippines, been together since 2009 so it’s tested the time, and I’m nearly 60 she’s 55 but I’ve heard some not so good tales stories coming out of the Philippines regarding the age gaps some of them being just too big of a gap.
Yeah, big age gaps tend to be problematic. Smaller gaps work better long term, no doubt about that!
How about a black American in Vietnam?
I recommend Brazil, Columbia, and Dominican Republic for black men
Man, ignore those other responses. Yes, black men can get good Vietnamese women as well, especially if you fit, understand some of the culture/language and is a good man overall.
