I think Z Broly's story is hella underrated
Since *birth* Broly has had to fight. He has never known peace, the one quiet moment (we know of) in his life was interrupted by Goku crying. He then gets stabbed in the chest, dropped into a garbage heap and left to rot on a dying world. Its here that young Broly went from a somewhat normal infant to experiencing *Rage* for the first time.
Ever since then, his rage alone is what kept him and his father alive. From world to world they traveled, yet his rage became too much to control, Paragus groomed his child to be a weapon, at first out of self-preservation and eventually for selfish reasons. Until that weapon grew to become too much to control.
His mind limited for years, treated like a leashed dog, he only had one thing under his control, one thing that was *his* . His power.
Yet here comes Kakarot, a living reminder of the day his freedom was taken from him. Broly may have his body and mind controlled by Paragus, but Paragus couldn't control his Saiyan Pride. Yet, Kakarot's power, his mere existence, is a challenge to that pride.
Broly attacks Kakarot, to conquer his past and the one time he was ever injured or felt weak. Yet, he's defeated. Now, if Broly can't defeat Kakarot. Much like Paragus, he'll go after his enemies son.
Broly dies, never knowing true freedom and never able to conquer his inner demons. He became a devil out of necessity, because it was all he ever knew, all Paragus taught him to be. Not to say he could've been a good guy, but more so he was never given the choice to be anything than the devil.
Such a underrated story, such a underrated comment.

I agree with Broly being scared of Baby Goku due to Gokus potential, and plus the crying is defying Brolys 10,000 power level, It made him lose control.

in my opinion in 1, the only reason he lost is because goku transferred a bunch of the energy he had built up and gotten from others into broly with that punch, causing his body to be overwhelmed with power it could not handle, since its been established that it's the one thing that could actually kill him at this stage

When I saw this movie back in 2007 Broly was hands-down, my favorite character in dbz. He just gave me chills throughout the whole movie.

Z Broly story is deep if you understand the saiyan race nature and the legendary super saiyan power. Harsh past, ptsd, split personality disorder, and Lssj is what created Z Broly.
Z Broly has PTSD from his past and split personality disorder due to the power of being LSSJ. Saiyan babies have great memory that they are sent to other planets to conquer. Broly hates Goku because he reminds him of the day of being stabbed. He remembers Goku ki and hearing the name Kakarot as baby. When he first met Goku again as an adult, he sensed his ki triggering his ptsd reminding him of that day. Goku is the link to the pain he felt as a baby. Its not that Broly blames Goku for what happened but Goku triggers the psychological trauma of the incident causing him to relive the experience of being stabbed in the chest as a baby. So how does Broly get rid of that pain?
By getting rid of Goku.
Broly split personality was affected by his past and LSSJ power. LSSJ power is more unique than the regular SSJ. Lssj is constantly overflowing with power that it is much more harder to control. When Goku went ssj1 for the first time he told Gohan to leave since he almost lost it with rage. When saiyans ascend to ssj1 and above their power increases as well as their aggressive savage saiyan nature increases for example ssj3 Goku and Gohan ssj2 they were more serious and willing to kill. Goku had his saiyan nature changed from hitting his head as a baby and Gohan is better raised by Goku and is half human. So imagine being a natural born saiyan with Lssj power who had a harsh past of being stabbed as a baby and raised as a weapon by your dad. Base Broly was more shy and docile until his power takes over making him lose control which is why Paragus put the headpiece on him to control his powers and to prevent his other personality from coming out

One thing that makes Z Broly even more terrifying that is never brought up, is that just like pre-Android Saga Vegeta and Frieza, he NEVER trained.
In fact he spent a good chunk of his life with his power being supressed by Paragus.
What we saw was Broly who had essentially been kept nerfed for all of his life.
Super Broly was given training throughout his life by his father, but even then Paragus was affraid of him becoming too strong.
Had Z Broly trained since his youth, he could very well have been as powerful as S Broly.
Thank you for telling me that. I always thought it was stupid for Super Broly to be stronger than Goku and Vegeta's god forms but if Z Broly was this INSANELY strong with 0 training, then Super Broly with minimal training should make a difference
@@tentaplayz3691 Theres also the fact that S Broly is 5 years older than Z broly, since he was born at the same time as Vegeta, where as Z Broly was born the same time as Goku.
So he has 5 years + whatever else time has passed since Cell saga to grow stronger via training as well.
Lol, "no training" nah, both brolly and frieza have trained more than any other z warrior, blowing up planets for a living is more expending energy then recovering it than anyone except maybe a vegeta which i still doubt has blown up that many planets.

can you imagine how terrifying broly would be if he trained in the time chamber for a year or even ten years straight. He would literally walk through the entire boo saga, especially in second coming after he gained a zenkai boost.
He was stronger than Buu. Movie Characters are insane. Cooler caught Goku in between instant transmission which makes him faster than instant making this feat really insane.

@@cosmiccontrol3054 that’s essentially nerfing him. That fact that he was so much stronger than everyone is what made Broly special. Without him being stronger than everyone makes him an ordinary character. But now Beast Gohan is stronger, Black Frieza is stronger than everyone including Broly, it’s suspected Goku and Vegeta are now stronger. Broly is just an ordinary character at this point.
Broly also turned Super Saiyan as a teen in his backstory. LSSJ Broly was stronger than Super Perfect Cell who weakened SSJ2 Gohan struggled against. Maximum Power SSJ Goku managed to takedown LSSJ Broly and tanked all of his hits without being knocked out of Super Saiyan form the entire time.
Z broly was so absolutely crazy, he legit gave gohan the most deadly backshots ever, it's beyond gojo's backshots. What a beast.

If Z broly somewhat survived being blasted into the sun, then he would gain another massive zenkai boost and probably return to earth during the buu saga i believe, then being stronger than a SSJ2 or SSJ3 or acheiving SSJ3 himself, would be cool to see a majin broly, tho.

It looks more like he wrecked the South Galaxy than completely destroyed it (as per the footage we see when Goku arrived there), but since he did that in just his Super Saiyan form, he's already on low Multi-Galaxy levels of power. Thus, his LSSJ form would likely enable him to be firmly in the Multi-Galaxy category.
I've also thought about how a Movie SSJ2 kid Gohan would scale to Movie 8 Broly...if 3 drained Saiyans and a drained Super Namek combined with Goku's MSSJ power was enough to equal or barely overcome Broly, I don't see why SSJ2 Gohan wouldn't be at least a bit above that (since he'd be roughly double MSSJ Goku's strength). In Movie 10, though, SSJ2 Gohan could barely damage Broly at all since the latter got a zenkai, so it's not unreasonable to assume Broly in movie 10 scales more to movie Goku at SSJ3.
But they showed directly that South Galaxy completely destroyed without nothing left, Broly destroys the whole galaxy by just raging and roaming in the outerspace

If there was really completely nothing left then Goku wouldn't have seen wrecked planets (one of which he landed on) still in tact when he went there after Broly's rampage. It's important to take all relevant scenes into account rather than just one.
@@GamingDrummer89well if he wiped out the Galaxy that would include stars so It would make sense why it all goes black. There could still be planets just now floating around endlessly because the stars that held them in place are gone.
@@IItsAyoshi But the fact that there are planets remaining in the South Galaxy shows that it wasn't entirely destroyed. Broly basically did the Galaxy (or Multi-Galaxy considering that the quadrants house multiple galaxies) equivalent of destroying a skyscraper but having a few bottom floors left mostly in tact afterwards.
@@GamingDrummer89The movie takes place in the North galaxy. King Kai insinuated this when he said our galaxy is next. The south galaxy was completely and utterly destroyed. Besides, if they were in another Galaxy, it would have taken years to get there with paragus' ship and the capsule ship, that entire movie took place in span of a few days.

I think this is a GREAAAAAT video. I always liked Z Broly more than DBS Broly because it makes sense as to his power driving him insane. He is a BAD GUY done RIGHT. LOVE the video man!
I've always rated him lower than others do though 😂 . Because of the inconsistencies, I never rated him higher than SSJ2 Gohan. He lost to a bunch of SSJ1 characters that had already been beaten up severely, once Vegeta gave energy...I mean in ONE HIT too. And I know they added in COMMENTARY that Gohan kept up with his training AND that he was SSJ2 in the fight with Broly, but the movie never says it AND Gohan didn't have lightning during the fight because "they forgot to add it." So it sounded like they were just trying to hype up their favorite character Broly. I mean, it WORKED, and I love the character (Which makes me hate Kale even more), but I still don't see him as trashing characters like Buu. I mean...do I need to bring up Bio-Broly? 😂

Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia (1996), states that a galaxy is the gathering of nebulae, nebulae is the collection of nebula, and a nebula is the collection of local planets, in simpler terms, a galaxy in DB is a collection of planets. And the updated Chouzenshuu 1: Story & World Guide (2013) which introduced the DBS, and various dragonball wiki clarified that everything happened in the Universe 7(DB, DBZ, DBS), and the universe is divided into 4 parts: North Area, East Area, South Area, and West Area, each contains numerous galaxies, with stars and planets. Our Galaxy, the Milky Way in which the Solar System and Earth is located is on the Outskirts of the North Area.
Just like the information I stated above, Super Perfect Cell is reduced to Solar System Level (at its highest known power), as he has enough ki to deploy his most powerful move, Solar Kamekameha, that is stated to destroy the Solar System (Chapter 416 of DB), the solar system that resembles our own.
To anyone that says Super Perfect Cell has infinite energy because of him being an android, no, he is a bio-android, an amalgamation of genes from different fighters, and mind you, he lost to an exchange of Energy blast (Kamehameha) vs Gohan, who is severely injured and tired during those times even at his Super Saiyan 2 form (Chapter 417 of DB).
To anyone that says Super Perfect Cell can regenerate from a single cell, you are quite wrong, as seen in Chapter 414 of Dragon Ball and Chapter 219 of DBZ, he has a specified organ/core that heals him or regenerates him, as long as that is destroyed, he won't regenerate anymore, it was unknown whether his core is at his head, as he regenerated back as seen in Chapter 401(DB) and Chapter 207(DBZ), in the game DBZ:Kakarot which was marketed as an extension of the anime, Cell states that he lied about the location of his core from 414/219, yet still implying the relevance of the core.
Unpopular fact: Ki Control is exclusive only for Earth Warriors (DBS Chapter 14), so if you watched an episode of DB, DBZ or DBS where a supposed planet buster character punches the ground without holding back and it shows just a crack on the ground, take that as face value.
Well, DBZ Broly is non-canon anyways, yet Broly is still THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN.

Ignore that in some dragon ball scaling Based on several statements of cell being Universal and Cell existing in the broly timeline due to icarus (gohans dragon) being in the cooler movie (its weird) That cell (who broly is much stronger then) is universal by the time of his first movie, In his second movie gohan and goten are both likly stronger then cell meaning they are both universal goku would follow this logic aswell, meaning broly could be universal+

*In the Z Saga, people tend to forget that Broly was the only ever for whom the combined powers of all Z fighters were needed to defeat. This was not the case with Buu or Cell at all, Z fighters did not gang up on those two at the same time like they did with Broly but still got destroyed. In fact, he was so OP in the first film, that not even 7 years later with Gohan growing up and using his SSJ2 could defeat Broly, which explains perfectly why none of the Z fighters in first film managed to do anything to Broly LSSJ. He was Toriyama's favourite and pride, which he explicitly admitted*
If we go by statements, which are another way from the author to tell us about more things, we should get more accurate scaling.
Starting off with Frieza, who was stated to have the power to destroy the universe ( the observable universe in context ) should be low universal at least. Cell is far stronger, and his statement about him able to destroy the solar system can be interpreted in many ways. He has the power to destroy the universe as long as he is stronger than frieza, so that means he did not want to destroy the universe, because nothing will exist for him to destroy ( this is only my interpretation ). So that puts cell at least in low universal or maybe baseline universal.
So Broly could be universal or high universal. Maybe even higher depending on how the plot progresses. In dragon ball, we rarely see any big destruction feats.
You’re beyond ridiculous if you think friza had the power to destroy the universe in one attack. That statement is clearly just based on the fact that no one could stop him from going planet to planet destroying the universe that way

Also let me put it like this, piccolo was able to destroy a moon before training and getting massively stronger for the sayian saga then got another massive power boost when he absorbed nail, so by the end of the frezia saga piccolo has the power to destroy the universe. Because he could go from planet to planet destroying them one at a time. If frezia was really universal why would his attack need five minutes to destroy namek? It’s not like frezia wanted to keep fighting goku so why not instantly destroy namek?
