Ya know, it strikes me that so much of the reason these cool projects are missing seems to be DC interference. The Ayer cut probably wouldn't be much better, but crunching game studios is stupid and screwing with Kirby artwork is practically criminal.
Floyd Star Wars lost media doesn’t get talked about enough. There’s TONS of scrapped content like Star Wars 1313, the unfinished Clone Wars episodes, Star Wars Underground, the Boba Fett spinoff movie, and lots more. (That is, if you count unreleased as lost. But if not there’s unfortunately not a lot that’s been outright “missing”. There’s supposedly an original cut of A New Hope that got edited down by George Lucas’ ex-wife into the final version, and from what I can tell only bits of pieces of it survive.) EDIT: The Star Wars Holiday Special was apparently lost before bootlegs of it in circulation were discovered, so there’s that.
@@dannybright8708 theirs also Star Wars detours, the rumor multiple cuts of episode 9 and their was a deleted scene of episode 3 that was considered so violent that George Lucas said “Oh dear”
Tom Hardy's original Bane recordings are lost. All his lines were redubbed after the poor reaction to his voice and complaints of not being able to understand him when the opening scene of Dark Knight Rises was shown before Mission Impossible 4 in 2011.
Honestly, I really hope that the Snyder Cut is successful, because I would love to see the full/true cuts of those other Batman movies and Suicide Squad. Even if they aren't great as we thought, they would still be worth a watch to see what could've been.
Cartoon Network did OK KO so dirty, man. The show was meant to go on for at least another season but CN decided at the last minute that they weren’t gonna renew, meaning the crew had to squeeze as many important plot beats in as possible to make sure the story was resolved before the show ended. I think they did a great job wrapping it up, but it still felt kinda rushed, and there were meant to be a bunch more episodes which crossed over with other properties that were never produced as a result. They were planning a *Space Ghost* crossover, for crying out loud! Imagine how *funny* that would’ve been!
@@mareeeedensos6348 As far as I know, just getting the episode produced as it is now was a bit of a production nightmare. Even with all the characters that made cameo appearances, there were some that the crew wanted to add but flat-out couldn’t include for one reason or another. The decision to cut the length from 22 minutes to 11 didn’t help matters, either. They pulled it off excellently, in my opinion, but it took a lot for it to get there. Not to mention, most of the characters who appeared as cameos either moved and spoke very little or not at all. For a full-fledged series with a similar premise to work, you’d have to have an insane amount of animators and voice actors on standby. As much as I (and many others) would love a series like that, it most likely just isn’t feasible.
As a Filipino, I appreciate the coverage of our legacy films from the past. With that being said, I'm still suprise at the number of copycat/unofficial superhero films we had. Lastik man (starring Vic Sotto) is a stand out in my mind, as even in the early 2000s these films were practically the only children's entertainment free to access on TV stations. In retrospect, I wished to have known of my country's lost films. Plenty of our pop culture icons were made from the post-wwii, Americanised atmosphere. Maybe I would have identified with it more when I was a kid, in contrast to how disconnected I am with the culture I currently live in.
Supposedly, the Alan Moore proposed Twilight of the Superheroes event for DC has had many production notes lost for years. Some of notes and pitches were released illegally on the Internet in recent times and almost had legal action taken against them. It is still unknown how much of behind the scenes material there is that was still not uncovered. The story is very fascinating, and DC used many of those ideas in later comics.
I always suspected shenanigans with the death of Jason Todd. I bought the crowbar issue and then voted. The issue with the decision came out the usual time, no later than it should have. This always said to me they had two issues prepped and ready, yet no reprints came out with the alt-ending - as was common in these circumstances. So why, to my mind, was the dead Jason issue at the ready and the Jason Lives version unseen? I'm not saying it had to be this way - it's just that, unless they knew how this was going to turn out, why not have the alt-issue ready to go and then toss into a trade as a bonus? Scattered pages over the decades just makes me wonder.

It was around Columbine I believe and all copies were ordered to destroyed but we managed to stash a few. To this day I’ve never seen it mentioned in its original format (it was reprinted). Things like this haPpen often
Can you do a Marvel lost media video? There definitely is lost media based off Marvel properties. What would Stan think of that? There’s a lost 1983 Fantastic Four movie that’s found via low quality recordings. I’ve also noticed that Justice League (2017) is now dealing a bunch of hate, probably because of the now upcoming Zack Snyder cut and noticed everything was better with that version. Wow, talk about asking to death for a new cut of the movie.
Robin Lives... Those two pages are all that exists. The story wouldn't have been much different. Batman would still find Jason. Joker would be 'dead'. Jason would go to the hospital. He'd have gotten a blood transfusion. But since it was a hospital in Africa, he would have gotten HIV. Joker would turn up a live again at the UN, Batman blames him for a disease which at the time was commonly thought to be a death sentence... and then things would have played out pretty much as they did. Given that, I think DC dodged the bullet that they killed Jason the way they did. You're leaving off The Blue and Gold. It was series that was solicited and even had an issue written but DC was threatened with lawsuit from Nabisco for a joke regarding Martian Manhunter's Oreo habit being compared to Heroin. By the time every thing got untangled.... writers J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen and editor Andy Helfer were off the Justice League books. Unknown if the issue got as far as being drawn but the script for issue one was written. The insurance salesman version of Powerless had to be dropped because the family of Dwayne McDuffie sued because of its similarities to his co-creator Marvel series Damage Control. They settled on the court but part of that had a a stipulation is Warner can never do anything with the pilot. It would require both permission from The McDuffie Family and Marvel/Disney to get it released. Seeing as how Disney has been working with the McDuffie family to get Damage Control turned into a Marvel TV series since 2007, that just isn't going to happen. There were clips of a Superman The Animated Series episode featuring the Spectre. (Stills were available in a few 90s DC comics.) The WB Network (now the CW) were uncomfortable with the brutal actions and the implication that he did so at the behest of God. The parts of the script were recycled into the later episode was recycled was into the episode The Hands of Fate. The original DC Comics Elseworlds 80 Page Giant was pulped because of outrage over the story Superman's Babysitter. It was not recalled fast enough to get pulled from UK release. Weirder yet, the comic was reprinted in Bizarro Comics which was meant for older audiences and went on to win an Eisner Award. All the stories were reprint in a 100 Page Elseworld special... but the original issue is still lost. Keith Giffen threw out Ambush Bug Year None #6 because after the Eisner Nomination, the jokes just didn't work. He spent a year producing a better story of issue seven and decided not publish issue six- but reference it as a joke. Robert Loren Fleming and Keith Giffen weren't allowed to give their miniseries Thriller an ending. So they wrote an issue of DC Comics Presents that crossed over with Superman to wrap it up. (It was common practice for cancelled series to get backdoor finales in either DC Comics Presents of Brave and the Bold.) Crisis on Infinite Earths made this a moot point. Most of the stories in Cancelled Comics Calvacade. While a few of the stories in this ashcan that was produced during 'The DC Implosion' of the 70s, most of them were edited beyond recognition. First editions of this are now all but impossible to find since they were only handed out to DC staff. DC's miniseires The Great Ten was never finished, and #10 was never finished but it was solicited and the remaining pages never released. At least two issues of The Titans Volume 1 (1999-2003) were cut done and thus an issue solicited as starring the Titans West were advertised by did not actually occur. Whether these issues were written is unknown. People think, Keith Giffen's series Vext was thought to have three missing issues. However, the God mishap and misfortune powers were supposed to be so powerful that they would manifest in the real world. (IE: there is no indication of the cover that it was a limited series when it was... and the one issue that did was issue six, which is listed as six of twelve... when it was supposed to be six of six... but six is also listed as the final issue on the cover. The letter pages often featured letters from other comics, etc.)
When Filmation was making DC cartoons in the '60s, I believe that a Metamorpho cartoon was announced in some comic ads or something, and it's been rumored that there was a little bit of work done on it like a pilot but nothing ever surfaced.

I was at the E3 where Titus showed off the PlayStation build of Superman. It was actually pretty fun, especially the vs node where both people could play as Superman. When I finally saw the N64 version, I didn't even recognize it.
If the Teen Titans popped up after I was offered drugs, it would affirm that I had already taken the drugs and now they were starting to take effect. The giant Jessica Alba standing behind them also gave it away.
I don't know if this is in the video But I'm super curious to know I remember my friend mentioning he clearly remember seeing paradox on the flash 757 issue cover on Joshua's twitter. Has anyone seen that post or could my friend be mistaken? I really need to know because others told me they have seen it, ive on reddit and discord. I want to dive deep into this and see if I can find any evidence of this being true. Anything will help
As far as Schumacher's cut is concerned i did my best to restore it myself using the scenes we have and putting them into the movie and i'll be upscaling and restoring the pilot of Powerless soon.
I actually played Infinite Crisis on release, however it was truly mediocre. Mechanics and movement felt clunky and overall the gameplay was a lot worse than other mobas. I think I played for a few days with friends then never touched it again, I might still have some of the files in an old backup of my PC but I doubt it.
I don’t like the stories of publishers over inking or drawing over Kirby’s work, but DC had a huge point to be made. Kirby is a *Legend* but his Supes looks soo weird and unnatural. I would like to see his Batman out of curiosity. Loll.
22:06 I'm not really into conspiracy theories but it's weird that both those characters are in front of the twin towers and the one is saying 911 (though referring to the phone number).
Jadon's death from a story perspective is one of the better Batman stories because sometimes he won't always WIN! And Jason Todd did come back but who was before his death at the hands of the Joker is VASTLY different from Who Jason Todd is currently, he effectively was reborn as a better character and even the guys at DC decided to give him a better backstory because his originally was the exact same as Dick Grayson's

I'm binge watching your channel right now, and it is AWESOME. Keep up the great work, I think you could really get big!
You should talk about partially found media. An example being the TAT company logo.
Lost Godzilla and Star Wars projects next?
Let’s go dude you got 1k subs been watching since 100 love your vids
Thanks for your support!
I watched Boomerang way before the rebranding in 2015 I can tell you I’ve never seen a teen Titans bumper
I would have given a kidney to see a TT series back in the day.
Didn’t know there so much lost media in the DC Universe.
Brandon Tenold has a great channel that covers "b" movies and he's done vids on Godzilla movies, "unlicensed" Batman movies etc.
I had never heard of Ball And Chain but that premise sounds so fun and promising that I'd love to see a proper adaptation. Can someone familiar with the comics tell me if they are actually good and worth reading?
I love these videos (: i can tell you put soo much effort and time heck it would have taken me 30 minutes to edit just 2 minutes of this video!
I still have a couple copies of a DV8 comic that was sold illegally by some of the publishers to the store I worked at that featured a school shooting storyline.
Another great video. Please keep these coming! 24:!0 There's A LOT of KidsWB bumpers which are missing and unaccounted for
This is my favorite video so far
Good job👍
When Filmation was making DC cartoons in the '60s, I believe that a Metamorpho cartoon was announced in some comic ads or something, and it's been rumored that there was a little bit of work done on it like a pilot but nothing ever surfaced.
I don’t know if this counts as lost media but you should have included Allen Moore’s original watchmen where they used dc hero’s instead of the one we know today
A Marvel lost media would be cool. Hey, can you do a video about lost things Marvel?
Hey! Awesome video! I have a quite a few videos and pictures of the old CN noods bumpers. I made an effort to catalogue each one back when they aired. They’re pretty low quality, as I used an iPod camera at the time. I’d be happy to upload them anywhere if that would help the search
I actually have a copy of the Ball & Chain pilot. It's surprisingly good.
honestly a damage control comic adaptation would be really nice. id have added that alongside jessica jones and luke cage instead of the defenders
I’m a big fan of lost media for some reason I never thought of lost comic book media my favourite piece? The really old Keebler teen titans anti drug PSA but also recently I found out about the death in the family alternate ending and that’s caught my attention too
Curse my ADD. Now I have Joker with Nigel Thornberry’s voice in my head lol
‘Allo everyone, Joker here. Nyezz
Oh gosh
Tim Curry as the Joker? _Awesome!_
...I still love Mark Hamill in the role, so this is a tough one.
The Kirby-Superman one.
THAT HURTS.
Pinky Montilla also played Supergirl in a Philipino version of Supergirl, of which there is a clip in YT not featuring Supergirl. I don't know if that movie's lost but if it isn't you can feel free to show me a link I really wanna see that.
What about the unpublished tenth issue of the Joker's mid-70s comic, where he supposedly battled the Justice League?
First two times in a row. You make amazing content. You are one of the best lost media creators. Maybe Nintendo or Marvel Media next
Sorry for the ciritcism, I didn’t know it was only one scene.
You think you're special just because you posted 3 minutes before me?
No, you're special for other reasons.
Drahcir Gaming Z haven’t watched whole video yet. Sorry.
Calpsotoma wow! So rude. I’m sorry if that annoys you, it’s not affecting you so why bother. Your the special one for bothering to call me special for something that isn’t affecting you. Keep your opinions to yourself, especially if they are hurtful. So immature.
I never knew they were called Noods
I was really expecting someone to make a "send Noods" joke, but none yet.
@@AllThingsLost Well If it makes you feel any better, I came down to the comments to find and/or post a joke along the lines of "They are just casually showing noods to kids on tv nowadays? back in my day you had to beg for those!"
I remember The Noods...
Obscure media is a most interesting subject. I look forward to seeing any if Dragonball lost media is known
Also does your wife have a channel? I love supporting small tubers
Have you heard about the Harmony Gold of Dragon Ball? It was the first English dub of the show ever, and was only found in its entirety within the last three months.
The first dc’s legends of tomorrow pilot is Missign sorry for the bad spelling
And Titans season 1 episode12
Have we ever asked the dracula actor from the Batman movie if he has a copy if he's still alive and acting back in the day they would usually give the actors a final copy
I have a friend who runs a Ben 10 Lost Media blog, the OK KO info might be useful to them, which isn't a take away I expected to get from a DC video
Funny how studio meddling seems to ruin things.
Let's be real we're going to find the teen titans drug psa at a school because they always keep old stuff
9:18 THIS SCREENSHOT RIGHT HERE, you ever get those items, or see something that floods you with a wave of nostalgia from your early childhood? Yeah, THIS WAS ONE OF THEM, i remember this website being one of the earliest flash game places i went to when i was young. I remember this wierd board game, and sucking ROYALLY at this one ball rolling one based off the flintstones.
I was at the E3 where Titus showed off the PlayStation build of Superman. It was actually pretty fun, especially the vs node where both people could play as Superman. When I finally saw the N64 version, I didn't even recognize it.
Okay Batman vs Godzilla has gotten my full interest
How nice of Batman to clean the Penguin's window before arresting him.
I could have sworn that the robin lives version of a death in the family was found
As do I. There is at least one video comparing the Tim Curry and Mark Hamill versions of The Joker also.
If the Teen Titans popped up after I was offered drugs, it would affirm that I had already taken the drugs and now they were starting to take effect. The giant Jessica Alba standing behind them also gave it away.
Your videos are so good!!!!!
I don't know if this is in the video
But I'm super curious to know
I remember my friend mentioning he clearly remember seeing paradox on the flash 757 issue cover on Joshua's twitter.
I 100% remember seeing the Batman clean/dirty clip as a kid.
Huh. Filipino Batman. Gonna keep that in mind.
There's Now A Batman Death In The Family Animated Interactive Movie Where You Can Have Him Live
man kind of sad now even though I don't really watch superhero stuff
The Superman 64 that released in stores is a beta version in fact.
Oh, then the Noods are the original version of the toonix?
Video Comic was the first show I ever saw on Nickelodeon!
You should do a video on scrapped episode ideas for cartoons
Do a Marvel lost media video please!!!
Loll.
oh shoot, I remember talking to Jason Aaron about it at a con.
what about lost manga or manhwas?
22:06 I'm not really into conspiracy theories but it's weird that both those characters are in front of the twin towers and the one is saying 911 (though referring to the phone number).
Very interesting. There's more 9/11 programming in media than you realize
