From what I remember you could somehow be involved in how the story progressed, as in you could probably call or email them ideas, but soon after that comic the store closed in my town and I can’t find any evidence of that comic existing.

I’ve got a lost comic that’s really obscure. Carlos Trillo and Carlos Meglia, two Argentine comic creators (and the creators of the comic Cybersix) had another comic series called Irish Coffee. Apparently in the mid to late 90’s they published some chapters of Irish Coffee in the newspaper Clarín. To my knowledge these chapters have never been republished, and aside from a handful of chapters that people online have saved, they appear to be lost.
I'm for sure dating myself here, but I totally remember the 1970's stretch armstrong. I remember hearing stories that the chemicals used to make the product were toxic. Which toy from the 70's wasn't toxic? Hahaha Us Gen Xer's are just fine. 🤣
Us: "Hey, Archie, Sega, can we, uh, get those original lost media versions of the Sonic comics?" Sega, whilst Archie slams a pint of whiskey onto a table: "All gone. Super Genesis Wave got them. Stop asking..."
In Japan there's a company called Shogakukan which publishes a lot of manga in magazines including various series based on video games. While some of them have been published in their own books such as Super Mario-kun and the Kirby manga, there are other series that never got their own books and are mostly lost. There are two that I have a lot of interest in that both ran from 1992-1994. Sonic the Hedgehog This is most likely the earliest adaptation of Sonic as it started being published in April 1992, a few months before the Archie comics started. It's about a 10 year old hedgehog boy in school named Nicky who turns into Sonic the Hedgehog whenever there's danger. It's pretty unusual seeing Sonic as just an alter ego which is a big part of what makes this manga stand out. It's also worth noting that Amy Rose and Charmy Bee originated from this manga before they were characters in the games. While a lot of issues have been found and a few have been fan translated, there are still many issues that are currently lost. Otenba Peach-hime (Tomboy Princess Peach) This was a gag manga about the Mario Bros. characters as kids, and it mainly focused on Princess Peach who was portrayed a tomboy (before Princess Daisy was given this personality in the games.) A few issues have been found (though not translated yet), but a great majority of the series is currently lost which is a shame since it's one of the most unique things I've seen done with Princess Peach in official media. The artist has an official website and has posted a couple of pages from it. She's done artwork for a lot of manga that is unknown to English speaking audience.
Some Peanuts strips are longer because comic strips on Sunday are made longer. However, some newspaper will omit some of the first few panels to save space. Artists have to work around this, and not put any crucial context in those first panels. This is probably why the Peanuts panels are lost, it's because some newspaper didn't run them at all.
Wow! This is actually a first seeing someone talk about the lost waku waku popn comics, hope this video gives more attention for people to find more strips! Great video btw!!
I own all 6 complete little nemo books. Has from 1905 to 1914, including all the dream of the rarebit fiends. From what i understand, the later comics were just reprints of his old stuff but reworded to update it by 25 some years. His son, robert who nemo was based on, did a lot of these comics himself.
Jeff Kaplan came up with a really eloquent way of saying "we don't know what we're doing and we don't want to make it harder to retcon everything than it already is."
Just a note on the Jason Todd situation. He wasn't hated until after the crisis on infinite earth storyline. They changed basically everything likeable about him after the relaunch
Re: Jason Todd (A Death in the Family - Robin Lives), You description of Jason Todd is imcompleat - Jason Todd was originally introduced as a red hair 'clone' of Dick Grayson...down to being an orphaned acrobat in Batman (volume 1) #357 (March 1983), then becoming Robin in Batman (volume 1) #366 (Dec 1983) but following Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985-1986) Jason was 'rebooted' as a kid living on the streets who tries to steal the tires off of the Batmobile in Batman (volume 1) #408 (June 1987), and it's that one Jason Todd 2.0 who was killed in A Death in the Family.
I wonder what happen to the modern day reboot, of the mcdonald's comics, as i remember having a sealed comic of issue #1 somewhere, but i couldn't find it when i moved, but i remember them being pretty hard to get after the fact. Edit; Little Nemo's game on the nes was absolutely incredible, and it's such a shame that due to licensing issues, it hasn't been re-released since!
I don't think it would be practical, since it's so big and underesearched, but maybe lost fanfics or internet fiction writing would be a cool topic to cover. I say that because the one piece of lost media that hurts me to no end is that one pokemon fanfic I wasn't able to finish.
I have one piece of lost media you could cover: Jim's Story. It was David Firth's first cartoon series but he has since taken it down from the internet. I managed to uncover some bits of it and a full episode (Jim's Story 5) but the others in their entirety remain lost. A good place to start is on David's official site (Fat-Pie). Then search up 'Angelfire Jim's Story' to find his older site. I highly recommend sticking primarily to the Wayback Machine for this search. It's going to be a hella lot of trial and error but you might find something I haven't Here is a tip: If there is a link section, try find anything that could potentially contain Jim's Story stuff. NOTE: The humour in Jim's Story is pretty edgy (even for its time) as it was made 1999-2001. If you really want to play it safe, just avoid downloading/viewing anything that may push the 'line'. Safe travel.
One manga that popped up right after watching this video was Yusuke Murata's (Creator of Eyeshield 21, One Punch Man artist) Back To The Future manga which was cancelled due to rights issues. There are a few remaining pieces of the manga which were tweeted by Murata: www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-09-16/back-to-the-future-manga-by-one-punch-man-artist-yuusuke-murata-cancelled/.136854

I linked them this video, and I've got a couple of "might know somebody" leads. If anyone wants, I can update if/when I hear something.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention one of my favorite comics of all time, Calvin and Hobbes. Oh well. You should do the lost Tokusatsu media, a Mario lost media, the lost media of Marvel and lost media of Transformers. Those would be glorious.
Have you ever considered doing intentionally lost media? Stuff that was intentionally destroyed or locked away, never to be seen again? I can only think of Unus Annus as an example, but there might be more.
There is Disney's Song of the South, which was deemed by Disney as "Too Racist to exist" to put it simply, and The original ending for Cartoon Network Invaded, which was a 5-show special that interconnects them to an Alien Invasion; The ending only aired once and was never seen again as its Alternate Ending took its place in its rerun and as the ending for the standalone version of the final part, Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon. There's also Class of 3000, which was a victim of a rights dispute between Cartoon Network, the creator, and its inspiration, Andre 3000, and Little Bill, which was erased by Nickelodeon following the start of the Bill Cosby trials.
Alan Moore’s Big Numbers is an interesting lost comic. Two issues were published, with art by Bill Sienkovich (sp?). Bill drew issue 3, but it was never published, and his 19-year-old assistant, Al Columbia, was set to take over art on issue 4. Instead he destroyed his own art and the book remains unfinished.
Legendary comic artist Alex Toth was said to have done an Enemy Ace story that was completed but rejected by DC. It may have been destroyed, but it certainly would be great to see.
Great vid as always. If you decide to do a part 2, Dark Horse Comics was originally gonna put out a comic of the video game ARMS, but it got cancelled a few years after a teaser page was shown off.
Fun Fact: the perception that jason todd was hated by the comic book community is a false one created after the fact. At the time fans that called the 1-800 number voted overwhelmingly to let him live. However One person used an auto-dialer to flood the line to kill robin, skewing the vote. Not that I'm Complaining Killing off Jason Todd was a fantastic character moment for batman, too bad they had to ruin it by bringing him back.
10:19 wait, did you cut yourself gasping for air after saying "duck mammaries"?! LMAO, ngl can't believe someone can say that with a straight face either.
There is another lost comic I noticed. It's call Jungle Juice (2007) miniseries by Inwan Youn and Kyungil Yang along with the cancelled English release of Nymphet due to p3d0filya
I knew the lost early superman comics would be here, also while I came to Archie comics late (I need a-lot to catch up on) and Ken isn’t great,it is sad that the comics are lost, from what I read it is good.
Considering the increase of Jason Lives movies, I don’t think it’s even incomplete just not drawn. If they were already drawing 2 pages, then that means a whole book was completely written down. The rough draft if you will. Somewhere in DC comics, that rough draft is still there.
Another really obscure lost comic is the Creepshow 2 comic by Marvel. Back in 1987, Creepshow 2 released and Marvel wanted to release a comic based off of it. Due to licensing it didn’t make it but the artist behind “The Raft” portion of the comic releasing his work. What he released isn’t fully finished, and I don’t know if any art for the other 2 story’s were made. I do hope there is though, but information is pretty non existent Edit: well I dug a little deeper and found out more pages exist. The entirety of the Raft was sketched and scripted, just not fully inked and a few pages for Old Chief WoodenHead are out there which are similar. All we need is some evidence of the last comic and we can see how far along the project came
There’s another Peanuts strip that had lost panels but were found, and I’m guessing you already know about it because you showed the whole strip at 15:04. In those compilation books you mentioned, that one strip didn’t have the top row of panels when the book was originally published (in like 2005 it think? I’m going off my own memory from when I had the books). The book even had a disclaimer noting this, stating that Sunday comics were always written so that you could cut off the top and get the whole story if the newspaper needed to do so. But then they did eventually find those first two panels, and a couple years later, they published the completed strip in the back of whichever compilation book was releasing that year.
Update: The "Robin Lives" comic was released fully. The unfinished page was apparently from the next issue, so we have no idea what the alternate story was. At least we have the rest of the finished story.
When Marvel published Toxic Avenger, the series ended with issue 6 or 7 due to low sales. Regardless, another one and a half comics were already finished, that never saw the light of the day. Which is a real shame because it would have featured a crossover with RoboCop (Marvel was publishing RoboCop at the time, too). Another important one: When Marvel produced the notorious Marvel UK comics in the mid-ninetees, a series was given a go featuring a new character, "Slaughter". The art to 1 or 2 issues was already finished, and the artist/writer already fleshed out everything about the character. He even became the go to not only let the Avengers appear, Slaughter was slated to JOIN the Avengers, officially, 616, no what if..? story, canon! Sadly, it never materialized, for reasons I forgot.
I created the current page for Kiwis by Beat on the LMW. It's a damn shame that it has been a year since the last time any more comic pages were found.
If a comic strip lasts half a century and is only missing a single panel out of its entire archive, I'd say thats impressive.
Not only that, it's a title panel, so at most we lost a mostly pointless panel
The Schulz estate has been extremely good at preserving and archiving everything that was originally made by Schulz. There was also another Sunday strip whose top row of panels was missing for years, and when they published the complete set from that year, they had a placeholder. But they did find the original panels a couple years later.

Larger corporations have corporate archives. It's possible General Mills has these in their archives. You just need to find someone on the inside willing to go searching.
The Superman from Reign of the Superman isn't much like Superman, but it is a lot like Lex Luther
Say what you will about Ken Penders, but the Knuckles series under his reign was some of the best stories Archie Sonic ever had.
What about, Top 20 Pieces of Unconfirmed Lost Media???
Us: "Hey, Archie, Sega, can we, uh, get those original lost media versions of the Sonic comics?"
Sega, whilst Archie slams a pint of whiskey onto a table: "All gone. Super Genesis Wave got them. Stop asking..."
Wow, a comics contract was sketchy and unclear? Whoda thunk it?
(The ghosts of comics' creators past start laughing.)
I know someone who's obsessed with comics. I am gonna show them this vid
I too have gone on several quests to locate lost webcomics. Some I found in total, some I found partially, and some are just gone.
Sonic the Hedgehog
This is most likely the earliest adaptation of Sonic as it started being published in April 1992, a few months before the Archie comics started.
Otenba Peach-hime (Tomboy Princess Peach)
This was a gag manga about the Mario Bros. characters as kids, and it mainly focused on Princess Peach who was portrayed a tomboy (before Princess Daisy was given this personality in the games.) A few issues have been found (though not translated yet), but a great majority of the series is currently lost which is a shame since it's one of the most unique things I've seen done with Princess Peach in official media.
I didn't expect any other Pop'n fans to be in the comments
@@aeroburger But here we are
Damn, i wish my comics were preserved... but it’s probably for the best they were burned haha
Burned?? That’s cruel!
You ignorant no future fish
I own all 6 complete little nemo books. Has from 1905 to 1914, including all the dream of the rarebit fiends. From what i understand, the later comics were just reprints of his old stuff but reworded to update it by 25 some years. His son, robert who nemo was based on, did a lot of these comics himself.
It’s starting to look like the finale of the TF comics series will never be released, leaving the story on a cliffhanger forevermore
Jeff Kaplan came up with a really eloquent way of saying "we don't know what we're doing and we don't want to make it harder to retcon everything than it already is."
Only found you yesterday and delighted to see a new vid! Yay!
Glad to have you here!
I LOVE your work, you should do a video on found media
Just a note on the Jason Todd situation. He wasn't hated until after the crisis on infinite earth storyline. They changed basically everything likeable about him after the relaunch
Thank you for making this incredible video! I would love to see one about lost art.
10:18 I love how you can tell that he's struggling not to laugh
the xenosaga webcomic is still missing, there apparently was a english version but ive never even seen an english panel
A comic I wish you'd cover was Star Vs The Forces of Evil: Deep Trouble which got canceled after issue 4 when it was supposed to be 8 issues.
Re: Jason Todd (A Death in the Family - Robin Lives),
You description of Jason Todd is imcompleat - Jason Todd was originally introduced as a red hair 'clone' of Dick Grayson...down to being an orphaned acrobat in Batman (volume 1) #357 (March 1983), then becoming Robin in Batman (volume 1) #366 (Dec 1983) but following Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985-1986) Jason was 'rebooted' as a kid living on the streets who tries to steal the tires off of the Batmobile in Batman (volume 1) #408 (June 1987), and it's that one Jason Todd 2.0 who was killed in A Death in the Family.
The Three Jokers revealed that Jason did survive and took on the mantle of Red Hood.
Always a great day when All Things Lost uploads
I would’ve liked to read those Pop’n comics as I liked the Game/Characters
I have little Nemo in slumberland on dvd, it’s one of my favorite childhood movies
So that's why there's Sonic rule 34 characters I have no idea about
I don't think it would be practical, since it's so big and underesearched, but maybe lost fanfics or internet fiction writing would be a cool topic to cover.
It's going to be a hella lot of trial and error but you might find something I haven't
Here is a tip: If there is a link section, try find anything that could potentially contain Jim's Story stuff.
Regarding the Waku Waku Pop'N Manga, I know a decent amount of people who are heavily active in the Bemani community and have connections to people that have worked on the games. I linked them this video, and I've got a couple of "might know somebody" leads. If anyone wants, I can update if/when I hear something.
When I see All Lost Things upload a video it makes me smile :)
Marvel did something similar with the Galactus story ending but replaced Nova with Franklin Richards.
Damn, just noticed this, I was getting a little desperate for some lost media
The original version of Endangered Species has been found. Matt Herms, the book's artist posted it on his Patreon.
Awesome!! Another All Things Lost video!! 💕✨
If I recall correctly, there was a comic based on the 2011 Thundercats that was never released.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention one of my favorite comics of all time, Calvin and Hobbes. Oh well. You should do the lost Tokusatsu media, a Mario lost media, the lost media of Marvel and lost media of Transformers. Those would be glorious.
An idea: lost creepypasta and/or lost SCPs. You have no idea how much of both can get lost to the internet
Love your work, and I know it's odd, but I'd love to see a video about lost recipes for food.
there's that one Arms Dark Horse comic based on the game of the same name that hasn't been released
Yeah I thought about that one too. But was it ever finished?
@@genon2777 not sure but I think it was, it just wasn't released. could be wrong tho
A cool video idea would be Lost Adverts.
Also, I'm a Monster by SeaDogNicky which she deleted and Forsaken Girl which had the same fate as the former.
I don't see many people talk about this but how about lost Tv Stations like Nickelodeon of Japan:)
YESSIR! Starting off June strong, I see
I completely forgot about Minus I loved that webcomic when I was younger.
I knew the lost early superman comics would be here, also while I came to Archie comics late (I need a-lot to catch up on) and Ken isn’t great,it is sad that the comics are lost, from what I read it is good.
I remember that tmnt show
Damn that show was amazing
do i care about comics? no. but i love my papi lost media mike
Considering the increase of Jason Lives movies, I don’t think it’s even incomplete just not drawn. If they were already drawing 2 pages, then that means a whole book was completely written down. The rough draft if you will. Somewhere in DC comics, that rough draft is still there.
Just the name “Igdoof” makes me want to read more 😂 it’s actually impressive
"Wh-wh-what are they called???
C*m gutters?" - Mortimer, grandson of Richard
Another really obscure lost comic is the Creepshow 2 comic by Marvel. Back in 1987, Creepshow 2 released and Marvel wanted to release a comic based off of it. Due to licensing it didn’t make it but the artist behind “The Raft” portion of the comic releasing his work. What he released isn’t fully finished, and I don’t know if any art for the other 2 story’s were made. I do hope there is though, but information is pretty non existent
Edit: well I dug a little deeper and found out more pages exist.
I have ALOT of the Archie Sonic Comics
As Soon as I heard Archie Sonic, I knew it was related to Ken Penders..
I was just thinking "huh I wonder if there's any videos on lost comics" and lo and behold 1 day ago
I created the current page for Kiwis by Beat on the LMW. It's a damn shame that it has been a year since the last time any more comic pages were found.
