Looks great. Imho weathering is the single most important thing to make things look realistic. Even the old Like-Like/Bachmann/AHM/Tyco stuff look great when weathered.
Definitely can see the difference. I went and got a bunch of books of my locomotives. And what’s funny each book focused on locomotives roster so I got to see a 15 years worth of travel. What’s cool is comparing them from new then seeing them years of abuse they get. Another awesome tutorial. But you’re 100% right look up and find references.
YO PRO ! WHEN IT COMES TO WEATHERING EWE ONE OF DA BEST ! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS OVER DOING WEATHERING LOOK AT REAL LIFE ! IT's ALL ABOUT THE LAYERS WEATHERING IS LIKE AN ARTIST's PALLET , CANVAS ETC... ! IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU ! AND HOW YOU APPLY IT ! IF IT IS TOO MUCH JUST WIPE IT OFF AND IN THE PROCESS YOU MIGHT ACHIEVE THE EFFECT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR ! 😎
The trucks are some of the nicest I’ve saw. Not overdone but worn. Beautiful work.
