The trucks are some of the nicest I’ve saw. Not overdone but worn. Beautiful work.

Looks great. Imho weathering is the single most important thing to make things look realistic. Even the old Like-Like/Bachmann/AHM/Tyco stuff look great when weathered.

Nice job! I'm about to get into this but you're right, I probably need to get a few jobs under my belt to get rid of the anxiety of doing it.

Definitely can see the difference. I went and got a bunch of books of my locomotives. And what’s funny each book focused on locomotives roster so I got to see a 15 years worth of travel. What’s cool is comparing them from new then seeing them years of abuse they get. Another awesome tutorial. But you’re 100% right look up and find references.

Sounds like you had some fun times man - you just can't go wrong with good reference.

IT's ALL ABOUT THE LAYERS WEATHERING IS LIKE AN ARTIST's PALLET , CANVAS ETC... ! IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU ! AND HOW YOU APPLY IT ! IF IT IS TOO MUCH JUST WIPE IT OFF AND IN THE PROCESS YOU MIGHT ACHIEVE THE EFFECT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR ! 😎
