- Join the boys and me as we take a trip to Pomona for a swap meet. My dad used to take me all the time as a kid. Been going since 1978 and it's always a blast looking at the creative cars people build and finding cool parts you can't buy anywhere else.

grew up in South Pomona. went to the swap meet back in the 70s myself. Go South.!
My first time there was 1965. I've attended like 30 of these over my lifetime, and loved every one!

Brought back some good memories, its been awhile since I've been back to socal. Now living in Southern Indiana, I use to go all the time, started back in the 80s going with my best friend and his brothers to go sell stuff. Back them we would take off on the mini bikes and check stuff out. Thanks for the cruise down memory lane🙂

Been to Pomona many times. They used to have the NHRA winternationals there.
I was raised in West Covina about 5 miles from there and have been going since it started. I love it. Enjoy

I am so glad you’re still making content Steve we really enjoy watching your art some of us do our own but it is inspiring to see what other people come up with we went by your place about a month ago accidentally got there an hour early walk-through it was still totally awesome I met you at Bonneville in 2019 it was good to talk to you my brother is part of white goose bar racing we didn’t get to see any cars run by the time we had to leave but we still had a good time keep making video Steve and we’ll keep watching them

I saw your truck and the car when I went to Vagas in April i got off the free way and you were right behind me and we both were at the stop lights i was turning left and you were turning right, and let me say that is a bad ass truck and rat rod that was cool 😎 love your videos

Only made it to Pomona once so far definitely was one of the best experiences I've had. Hopefully I can make it out there again but it's a good 2,500 mile drive one way. Thank you for sharing brought back good memories what a awesome place. 👍

If anyone out there hasn't been to a day at the Pomona swap meet you really have to see it to believe it. Get there super early though, I usually get there for 1-2 am and have a nap down the road. By mid morning the lineup is insane, you'll never experience anything like it

I do so enjoy going along on these road trips with you lol I will watch you pick up an item and think to my self what the heck is that and what would a person do with it with in a few minuets you have bought it explaned is and what it is and what you can use it for and I think what a great find Thanks for the info about using your head

I was going to the Pamona swap meet in the 60’s. Think the last time I was there was in 67 because I left for boot camp in 68.

This has really made my day! So many fond memories of Pomona swap meet for me as well. My parents used to take me there in the late 70's to early 80's. One i thing I noticed in your video, where's the drive in theater screens at? That place you could watch a movie there as well. One thing I'll always remember that happened at the swap meet was when I saw my first sun lunar eclipse in the sky. We were leaving the swap meet in my father's Chevy Luv pickup when the sun got blocked out by the moon. Turned into night time for a few minutes. So many fond memories of that place. My father would show me what to look for in street rod parts as he would be bringing more "stuff" home. Its a great place to educate youngsters in learning how to negotiate too! Also at the 9:42 min in video, I see Pinks in the background. In Hollywood, I would go there to get a hot dog. Good food. Man, this is just bringing up such good memories. Thank you for this! This really made my day!
I found parts for my 1942 Dodge WC-51 Pomona swap meet.
BE WARNED - I meet that guy at the Pomona Swap meet about seven years ago. I expected him to be a TV "Ass wipe." Turns out he was a regular "Ass wipe" like me. I moved to Georgia, and miss that Swap Meet big time...c'mon GA get with it.

People make such a big deal out of one coil per cyl. on the new cars. Henry was doing it a Really long time ago so it's not new. My cousin has an completely original 1926 Ford Model T roadster pickup and it got one coil per. cyl. and runs just fine not fast but runs fine.

Steve you and all your peeps are inspirational to all gear heads all around the world I'm sure. I've got a 1938 diamond t truck I wand to trun into a car hauler. Got the doner truck for the project I went with a 1995 dodge 3500 with a 12v cummins got a nv5600 duilt and now it's time to start all the fab work.
