@@burkshomemadememes right, I didn't mean to imply that SFV is bad, although admittedly it's not for me. SFV emphasizes things besides execution, which is totally fine. I just miss the high execution personally. It also feels like a big trend in all fighting games right now to shave off as much as they can from possible execution to help reel people in. I'm just being nostalgic perhaps.

Yeah, this was such a killer set. So was the one earlier in the tournament where Momochi sent Daigo into losers. Chased him to Ryu and then switched to Cody for the last game, was so good to see.
I remember seeing this live and being hyped out of my mind. Ever since I saw this Momochi and Daigo (Since EVO Moment 37) have been my favorite players, even through SFV out of sheer respect.
I miss these kinds of matches. Remind me of when Smug and Dieminion went to the final pixel at stunfest I think it was at NLBC. One of the greatest matches ever period.
Daigo said that momochi was so godlike/unbeatable in this time frame of the game that he has to ask other top players to come together and study and find a way to beat momochi. Truly next level stuff. Even daigo... Whom many think is one of the best has to give more than himself to take down momochi's godlike reign
On the preview you are little too small, SMUG. When I make previews I usually zoom out sometimes, because this is helping me to understand that some text, or other details are too slow. All love Smug :)
This is why i say 4 is better than 5, this set perfectly displays tht, extremely high level gameplay, all those 1 frame links, tht reaction times, tht footsies, tht mind games etc etc. Even if i train for a thousand years,i still wouldn't be able to reach the level of these two elite players.
well Smug.........after 6 years of SFV they never released Dudley, it be nice if they told the devoted pro players in advance like maybe 6 years ago that wasnt going to be a reality. But hey! there's always Street Fighter 6!!!!
Momochi just got a little impatient and flustered the last few rounds. Ken can be so aggressive but he got overly aggressive due to Daigo’s style of play. Still the Godlike Ken ever.
Street fighter 3rd strike and Street fighter 4 ultra are the best games that Capcom ever put out to date, Street fighter 5 is a joke in my opinion. Please do more of these old videos of Street fighter please!!!
