    I think the Godox Sa-17 with S-ap projector is half the price of this. But this definitely looks way less clunky than the Godox. Love the bounced light off the wall technique. I first saw it on Lewis Potts’ channel and I do it all the time for keying light in small rooms. Such a easy and useful technique!

    I love a spotlight but never brought myself to cough up the money for one. This might be the one though!

      Yeah at this price and size it makes it slightly less niche and easier to justify!

    Very interesting, what do you think are the differences between this and the Aputure Spotlight apart from size and price?

    • @EdProsser
      @EdProsser  8 месяцев назад

      I think it probably has a slightly better lens and more robust design. It also can only be used on 300w max. There is perhaps some chromatic aberration on the Amaran unit when using certain gobos

    you can also get the 36 lens and get a iris controller

      @@EdProsserwhat is the advantage of the 19 over the 36 degree?

    • @EdProsser
      @EdProsser  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@AdamTV just the size of the beam, 36 gives you a wider / larger spot at same distance.

    What percent % was your lighting at for these shots? I know you're using the 200. I'm trying to decide between that and the 150c. Thanks!

    • @EdProsser
      @EdProsser  6 месяцев назад

      I think jumping between 20-30%

    Hello! I am going to buy one but I cannot well understand the difference in size of the wall projection between 19 and 36 degree lens attachment. Could you help me figuring out how much difference is among them?

    • @EdProsser
      @EdProsser  5 месяцев назад

      36 will give you a bigger spot at the same distance, 19 a smaller sized spot

    • @lorenzonarwhal
      @lorenzonarwhal 5 месяцев назад

      @@EdProsser thank you very much for the quick answer!!! I am wondering how much is this difference, because I can’t understand if the smaller size of the 19 could be enough

    • @EdProsser
      @EdProsser  5 месяцев назад

      @@lorenzonarwhal it'll depend what and how you're lighting, you can increase the size of the spot by moving the light back, but if your shooting in tighter spaces you may want the 36. You can see in my small living room in this vid, the 19 isn't huge, but it works well if you want to cut the light into small beams.

    This spotlight does NOT work well to create slashes on a background to emulate sunlight coming in through a window. If you try and create a long slash you will get significant leaking all over.

      Great Ed! That music video you did using this kit looks excellent. I bought the Godox version of this kit a while ago when a client wanted me to get tiny spotlight circles on tiny little jewellery pieces. One of these kits attached to my Aputure 120D was the answer. But for very little money you get so much more. These kits are very flexible and I use mine lots and I haven’t found the need to buy more lenses yet apart from the 85 that came with the kit.

    • @EdProsser
      @EdProsser  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah it's a fab piece of kit, will be taking it on most of my shoots moving forward

      I have the 36 degree and can relate. Not sure if it affects the 19 degree. I think the spotlight se iris is the only way to close out the leaks but it might make your slashes smaller.

    How arrogant of them to have you pay for gobo's that project their logo....Nobody wants that, just give us a few more useful ones. JFC.
