As a WVU fan, I greatly respect the respect! Y'all have a very solid and complete group of guys this year...really y'all have made some big splashes the past few years. Hope to see more of some great games when WVU and TTech meet, either on the field or on the court!
I've always noticed one thing: tech fans are always nice and sportsmanlike. I went to Texas tech WVU and I remember a random guy walked up to me in a tech sweatshirt and he said "good game" and walked away.

Um, yeah, it was an upset. TTU was a 12 point favorite and had just beaten WVU by 30 a couple weeks ago. WVU went 4-14 in conference play. "Was this really an upset" lol. Why are you commenting on this if you clearly know nothing about it?
Is WVU better than their record indicates? Yes. Was this an upset? Absolutely. I’m a WVU fan and even though we’ve been playing well recently, we haven’t been playing 2 seed well. TTU is arguably the best team in arguably the best NCAAM conference, this was still a big upset.
If WVU can manage to get into the ncaa bracket, I predict the ncaa will have WVU and Duke paired up by the first two rounds. Huggins will need to get Konate some real playing time, because Konate will have to take on Zion. Both players similar in size, strength and close in vertical. What a matchup that would be. Konate I hope would relish the challenge to shut Zion down. It would move him up in the draft.
Huggins is playing his freshman like McCabe and Matthews and it is the difference maker...he hasn't ever had a good shooting team with the mountaineers and this team has promise to be that
Idk, the Final Four squad could shoot, espacially Desean Butler. But yes, since then it's been rough, and these guys seem to be a little better at it than previous years. I think focusing more on the inside game has helped with that too.

You will always put a target on your back for other teams to want to beat you no matter how good of a team you are. Remember this, even a tyrant can go down. Oh yeah,Tech didn't show up to play and YES they got out played. Sad that my Red Raiders didn't win so I tip my hats to The Mountaineers.
The Raiders were still rad to watch this year (except when they put a 30 point beat down on us...). I'm so glad they made it to the championship game. Honestly, I think getting knocked out of the Big12 tourney early might have given them that extra motivation they needed to get to the National Championship. Beard is an incredible coach, and I'm looking forward to our match ups next year. Nothing but respect for the Raiders right now.
