Probably one of the best title games in recent memory. Overtime, two teams fighting for their first title, what more could you ask for. Feel bad for Texas Tech but they had a fantastic season and should be back next year.
bluesdirt - Jimenez is right. I’m not a fan of Virginia or Texas Tech. Just a basketball fan. While I salute Virginia for the natty, it will go in the book with an ** by its title. Highlights of their natty will include the double dribble against Auburn. Sad for them. Sadder for Auburn. And no, I’m not an Auburn fan either.
so the way to win the NCAA tournament is to lose when your a 1 seed to a 16 seed and then come back the next year and win it all, taking notes right now
Virginia was humbled last year and this year they were graceful winners! Two great teams! It was refreshing to see Texas Tech make it. And not the usual teams that are there year after year.
Congratulations to Virginia. And congratulations to Texas tech for your awesome season. I just looked at Virginia's recruiting class over the last 5 years and they haven't recruited a single 5 star player manly 4 and 3 star players maybe programs like Duke, North Carolina Kentucky and my Kansas Jayhawks can take note. One and dones don't get you to the national Championship games. it's upperclassmen and I can't wait until next year where high schoolers can go straight to the NBA. That way the players that really want to go to college can go to college and experience college basketball.
Um UNC has known that for years. All of our titles came from the backs up upper classmen. Carolina so far has only 1 maybe 2 five stars comn in next year. We are like 25th in recruiting. Dean Smith knew that and so does Roy Williams. 4 year Experience is always better than 1 year talent any day. That's why 5 star freshman don't want to come to UNC because they know they'll prob set the bench. Not a fan of the cocky 1 and dones. But i didn't know they were gonna change the rule again.
Fg Sp - just unusual. Didn’t say it mattered. Show me another college where that’s the case. I’m fully aware of players being out of state or even country. And even no starters from the state. I just don’t know if another college can claim that fact. Maybe I should just state the fact and hardly wonder. Not that I really care. Thanks for the reply. Didn’t want to make someone defensive. I thought it was just unusual.
Ahhhh how lovely, Big Blueless final four. No Kentucky, no Kansas, No North Carolina, No Villanova, No Gonzaga, and Most of all " SAY IT WITH ME" !!!NO DUKE!!!! THIS IS WHAT NCAA BASKETBALL NEEDS NEW BLOODS AND I AM SATISFIED!
Congratulations Virginia Cavaliers. Overcoming the embarrassment of the loss to UMBC last year by going all the way to win the national championship. Texas Tech also deserves recognition, they beat some good teams to get to the final game.
Congratulations To Virginia Basketball & Clemson Football!!!!.. both of y’all programs put the ACC on the map as the BEST Conference in the Nation... long live the Champs!!!!... ACC BABY!!!!..💯
This one was one of the all-time great national title games in recent memory. Both teams were evenly matched, it came down to who has the mental-toughness to will themselves to victory. De'Andre Hunter really showed up in 2nd Half and OT with 22. Texas Tech has had a very spectacular season. Chris Beard, a AP Coach of the year, well deserved. He's a good coach and his team fought till the end. But a huge, huge congratulations to Tony Bennett and the Virginia Cavaliers. Last Year, they didn't have Hunter in the game and gave edged by UMBC. This Year, De'Andre's healthy, they fought some tough games in the ACC and the tournament, and as a result, they won it all. Congrats Virginia, 2019 National Champions

@@jake.presents They should have fouled to give them 2 FT before letting Hunter shoot the 3, that's right. But the foul against Moretti for trippin Guy or the possession for VAU though Hunter puts it out of bounds were bad calls that influenced the end too much. I'm from Europe and neutral by the way.
Even though I’m a Texas Tech fan, I have to say that this was one of the greatest championship games in the past few years. What hurt Texas Tech in this game were two 3-pointers by Virginia at two specific points. The first one was at the end of the first half when the Cavaliers hit the 3-pointer to go up 32-29. The second one was towards the end of the game when Hunter hit the 3 to tie game and sent it to overtime.
After saying all that, the Cavaliers deserve a major SHOUTOUT not only for winning yesterday but staying the course to reach their goal! They more than kept their focus despite the odds thrown at them from 2018! And kudos to Tony Bennett one of, and he's right at the top, the classiest men we have in our sport! purple potato chip nah they were kinda trash if you actually watched the game
Wow both teams are amazing , loved it.
I’m a neutral, was a great game. Congrats to VA. Now let’s see if this crossover to football 😄
Didn't watch the Belk Bowl?
Even though I’m a Texas Tech fan, I have to say that this was one of the greatest championship games in the past few years. What hurt Texas Tech in this game were two 3-pointers by Virginia at two specific points. The first one was at the end of the first half when the Cavaliers hit the 3-pointer to go up 32-29. The second one was towards the end of the game when Hunter hit the 3 to tie game and sent it to overtime.
Why would ttech not just guard the perimeter on the last play of regular time?
John Guirguis this is such a good point
I can't believe he had the guts to make that outlet pass to Hunter for the wide open 3 when he was right there for the easy layup.
The tournament was the most fun basketball experience for me till now, the NBA playoffs better be interesting..
RAT college basketball is more interesting in my opinion
aleast lebron left the cavs to lakers so it wont be cavs vs warriors again
Jude _ true
Good luck will that, every one Claims to know already who the winner will be
@@verawallace9055 he said playoffs not NBA Finals lol
That Jerome pass to the corner for game tie 3
Priceless ❤️ and I love you forever and ever Amen, grandfather Turchan.

God 1st, Amen.
Outside of Coach K, I've never been happier than in recent yrs watching Jay Wright and now Bennett win a crown! They belong having national titles on their respective resumes!
Wahoo frickin wa. National Champions!
Congrats to Virginia on the victory and Texas Tech for such a great game. One championship title but both teams WINNERS.
Clemson in football and now Virginia in basketball. Go ACC.
The person in charge of the confetti was snoozing
I'm so proud of my Virginia Cavaliers. #GoHoo
In basketball that is.
Virginia’s team of shooters are so unstoppable I didn’t think Texas Tech could hold them by the first half 😂
Who saw at 2:33 everyone shaking hands at the same time for the travel🤣🤣🤣
Without rooting for any team, I will pass out watching this match live.
congrats virginia cavs.. no superstar like duke or tarheel.. but a high bsketball IQ
Hunter is a superstar. Just because Espn doesn't slobber on him like a Duke freshman doesn't mean he isn't a superstar
UNC and DUKE education are way better then the CAVS lol.
Anybody remember ncaa basketball on snes?? Man that game was beast..
They shut all the naysayers up. Said it wouldn’t be an offensive game. Great game and great win for UVA!
No they didnt haha
MattnCam0408 Hater!!! Go to bed...
Any fool should know the fix was in.
They will always be remembered for stealing a game with the ref's help(auburn). They will never be legit in my book.
I feel robbed, too-Virginia just stole my heart :)
Both of UVA's Final 4 games were epic. Amazing tournament.
