When sewing the seams would I just butt the inserted strip of fabric to the edge of both pieces of fabric to be joined, serge the seam and then cut off the excess fabric strip with duckbill scissors? PS I love your videos.
Hello Elsabe, thank you for this interesting video. Do you perhaps have any sewing tips on chiffon and sheer fabric? e.g. shrink prep., cutting, hand- and machine hemming, and overlocking, anything else to consider? I'm attempting to make chiffon scarves and so far learned how to cut this flowy fabric straight. 😁 I couldn't find many youtube videos on sewing with chiffon and I'd like to try making a skirt or blouse later. Do you have a few tips to share, please? Thanks!

Hi Angela, i am so happy to hear that you are enjoying the videos. You are correct, I also then use my duckbill scissors to trim next to the stitches.
