Great channel. Full disclosure here. It's just me and my critters. I followed your guidance and got the smaller one with the 3yr limited warranty, the thermometer, and the pellet cup were absent but Ninja made good on them. Great channel son. Keep rolling the video's 👍

CJ, Just purchased a bottle of your WCS - good seasoning! On the XL, I can't figure out how to skip the pre-heat cycle. Tried holding in the dial button but all that does is restart everything. I want to quickly switch from Grill to Air Crisp mode to finish off a Prime Rib without going through the long pre-heat.
Good review, agree 100% with your thoughts about NINJA, based on my own dealings with their call support. They still can't tell me the length and width of the cooking surface in inches. Looking forward to seeing your cooking videos using the XL to determine which woodfire grill size I buy.

Hey CJ when u do your cook.. can u do a temp check in the highest grill setting? I wonder if the XL goes well above 500
I think 500 is the max, but I'll definitely check next time.

I want to know if the larger size means it’s slower to come to temp/cooks slower. That’s 90% of the appeal of the OG.
I just did a brisket and I think it worked out the same way, just as effiencent.

Shoutout to CJ. Funny part was, i saw one of your previous video and you said you wish there was an XL version. When you said that, in my mind I was like: I'm gonna wait for the next version to release. Within a week, Ninja release the XL which is something I'm hoping there is a sale coming soon. I should get one by Black Friday.

I think it's too big for the original stand.
I'm OCD about cleaning my propane Weber. I will not go more than 2 days without cleaning it after each grill. I hate cleaning it , its a bitch to clean. I'll be getting gettin this XL soon and it looks like cleaning it kooks a hell alot easier.

Any kind of table. There are legs that keep the heat up off the surface.
What stand will this Connect XL work with?
I think their stand on their site works for all of them.

I think so, but I don't have it yet.

Can it fit a whole brisket, point and flat? Thats the one thing i hate about the original. Have to sous vide the brisket and add liquid smoke

Might be a bit too big. I plan on doing a turkey soon. So I’ll know for sure.

Nah, just unboxed it in the kitchen. It’s easier and quieter on my kitchen to go over everything. I do not use my woodfires indoors.
