@Shade Bleu The First responder's Congressional speech by John Stewart was about extending the existing Fund that was set in place from 2001 through 2003 for $7 billion dollars in Government assistance... this fund was reopened in 2011 for another 5 years and once again in 2015 for an additional 5 years of funding... This does not require every Congressmen or women to be present especially those who are not connected to the Bill. So try and keep up...the fund runs out in 2020 and most likely will be extended again. So this has jack shit nothing to do with what Alexandra Cortez is speaking about now. That display of emotion John Stewart gave was certainly Oscar worthy and it is tragic what happened on 911...but being a Firefighter, Policemen EMT and whatever else that requires that you place yourself at risk is nothing new. Billions have already been spent and will continue to be spent until the last person that was affected passes away. It's being handled and will continue to be which is why 90% of Congressional leader didn't show up for his speech. The adults are minding the store.

I'm tired of seeing this channel pop up in my feed and hearing about AOC. I get it. She's a fiery young woman in Congress. I have not seen any other politician show up in my feed as much as her. I'm getting Ronda Rousy vibes from her - the media treats her like hot sh-t but she's just discussing things that have been discussed a thousand times, and sooner or later she's going to burn out because everyone's treating her like a celebrity trailblazer.
Crichton most of her fame comes from people that see her as a boogie man combined with her articulate and fairly strong command presence. Hence bipartisan obsession. She is also fairly attractive in comparison to others on the dias. Which definitely doesn’t hurt. I like the Ronda comparison. I’m sure she will burn out too. Hopefully she’ll be inspirational to others to run though.
I think some of her ideas are idiotic or worded poorly, but even if you hate her you have to admit she is definitely working for the interests, real or perceived, of her constituents and the nation.
