- Today we take the Traditions Crockett Pistol out to the range and put a few rounds through it.
It appears as though Traditions discontinued this model some years ago, which is kind of a shame, because it is a very nice looking and handling pistol.
My example wasn't showing particularly good accuracy this day, but I think if I play around with the load a little bit I can probably improve on that. - Спорт
Never would have thought about patch thickness. Always considered the ball, but you make sense to be aware of this variable. Interesting...
Look forward to developments. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Looks like a Sweet pistol. Can't wait to see more of it.
I'll keep everyone posted on any progress I make with it!
Do it John, BP load development always interest me. Change one little thing and it can be like magic!
Yep - just takes a little tweaking, sometimes!
Awesome! I've never seen one of those. Maybe put a 'sacrificial patch' down the bore before the patched ball or bullet. if you're not familiar, you just center a patch on the bore and ram rod it down and then load the bullet on top of it. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you for watching! That is worth a try!
This is awesome.
Well done
Thank you!
A .32 caliber I can find interest in.
Mountain man
a friend of mine has a 36 cal patroit pistol from TC. that thing will throw thm into redicously small groups. I would suggest trying some diffrent loads.
I'm sure this can do better than it did.
I have a .45 cal kit in a box staring at me for years....I need to wake it up
Good job. You can extend the video a little by briefly keeping the viewer informed about the results of each shot. I understand the goal, but you're already ahead by not yapping and throwing in other distractions.
Thank you for the feedback. I have done that in some of my other videos. I'll probably start doing it again in future videos.
Oh jeez where did you get that?
You know, I really don't remember. It would have either been off of Gunbroker or the Muzzleloading Forum.
Boring. No bang at all I would want something that I didn't fall forward into the fun with such little.recoild. no fun.
I always test fire from sandbags. My intent is to see how good the gun shoots with my error dialed out
