    Thank you for posting Treasa! This is exactly what I needed. Everyone thinks of Texas as needing rain but not where I live, so so so humid and the down-pours are unpredictable.

    Ugh I live in Connecticut and so far it’s been muggy and rainy with a few humid sunny days in between. I have well over 300 succulents and I’ve actually had to bring them under the wraparound porch just a week and a half ago because the rain was just too much. They have adapted well to the environment I think all succulents adapt to us as individuals and how we water them and how we raise them and the environmental elements they are living in. But sometimes we do have to step in and give them a little help. There are also days where it will drizzle for three days and they’re not getting enough rain so I actually have to go out there and water them while it’s drizzling! We do what we have to do to save our lovely plants!
    The East Coast is the exact opposite of what’s going on in California right now we are so wet and soggy and you guys are just so dry. I wonder how the middle states are doing? Lol

      I agree with you!
      Once they adapt to their environment, you’ll be surprised how resilient they are!
      And yes, we do need to step in occasionally to help them thrive.

    Does heavy rain wash away mealy bugs? I have an arrangement that had a small problem with mealies. I only saw a few here and there that I would eliminate right away. But one day my succulent bowl was completely flooded with rain in a sudden down-pour. When I picked it up, the water came gushing out the drainage holes. The plants responded well to the rain and look better than ever, plus they don't seem to have any mealy bugs anymore. Do you think the rain was the reason?

    Hi there, my succulents have been soaked by heavy rains for over a month now. I have them In pots and they are putting out new growth and are looking super healthy. How can this be?

    • @ChopstickandSucculents
      @ChopstickandSucculents  3 года назад

      There are so many different succulent species. Some are so delicate when it comes to getting too much water, while some are not. It also depends on the medium you are planting them in. If you are using a mixture that does not hold too much water, the plants would be fine.
