I'm kinda confused...I've been looking up "how to color hair" tutorials all day and if it isn't anime then it's realism and I can't understand how to make my hair look real or "shiny".
I already know how to draw a realistic face but coloring it is really my problem especially the hair then I found this video and it really helped me a lot so thanks
wait were you using paper cutter to give highlight..or I am seeing things...does no it cut through paper....please what do you use to give white highlight in hair do you use eraser or pencils because I tried using eraser but its not working perfectly for me because though I bought pencil erase its point get dirty and then blunt

Could it be the type of knife? How do you blend Polychromos? The face is so wonderful smooth... I do not want to use thinner because of health.
If u pressed hard to get a dark colour for the hair then how does the white pencil show up so well?? I was drawing a plant with the same coloured pencils and I pressed kinda hard on some parts and the white won’t show up in those areas
TD I use the same pencils that she uses. I am almost finished with a coloured pencil piece but the white won’t show up on the darker areas... I think the white gel pen is to bright and stands out too much. Kirsty stopped using the white gel pen because it wasn’t realistic
You've mentioned that Carans are very CREAMY... well I don't use Carans.. I have Polychromes and Prismacolors... is Polychromes thick enough to be scrape away with the xacto knife too? or does knifing the caran only work for caran pencils?

It looks exactly like Emilia Clarke to me… except for the eye color. Hers are blue-green with brown around the pupils. These eyes look blue-grey. Tbf, sometimes Emilia Clarke doesn’t look like Emilia Clarke. 🤣🤣

Look up how to make hair look shiny in my drawings
Leave them in lighter colour
Colour it lightly and add shadows n stuff while leaving space for the lighter colors and then blend them and viola

Emily Wright She used some really high quality colours that’s why the white is showing up, but you can do that with a white gel pen

Emily Wright Then you can use the Derwent white pencil (idk the name, but it really shows of) and it look realistic as well. I hope this helped you
