- A teen Boca Bash reveler apologized for other boaters dumping trash into the ocean. “I wish I could have been off of that boat," The 15-year-old told a local TV station. The teen says he was at the front of the boat and did not see his friends emptying two containers full of garbage into the water. They were partying at Boca Bash, which is an annual spring festival in Boca Raton, Florida. Although authorities know the identities of some involved, so far no charges have been filed.
Unacceptable! A fine should have been paid by those who threw the trash.
Well to be fair, we dump ships full of trash in the great pacific eastern and western garbage patches😂
@@Jimmyxsxdoesnt justify to add more gas on a burning house, same logic here
@@HowToChangeName what Im saying is that you people make a big deal from 2 garbage cans being dumped in the ocean meanwhile ships full of garbage dump tons of garbage in the oceans and no one says anything.
*they're white, so chill. ....nothings gonna happen*
jimmy: 🤦♂️ that’s not the point, every little bit creates a bigger problem in the future-besides, show me the video of that?
Make them pay for a trash recovery
Not big deal
One hundred percent!!!
oh please this is a total nothing burger, it's like reporting on jaywalking. get out of here this is ridiculous
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeepjaywalking only harms yourself, but that trash is harmful to everything and it costly to recover unlike jaywalk if accident do happen
The governor is too busy attacking Disney and immigrants to deal with real problems in Florida.
1000 hours of community service trash pickup each
Cleaning Florida beaches for a year or hard jail time (1year)
@@rottieshepcalibre9156 hope they enjoy cleaning up after spring break lol
10000 hours of community service trash pickup
It's disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. I can't stand litterbugs.
Me neither, give a hoot don't pollute
@@melissagrant4178I’m for prostitution, but id rather deport uneducated voters than see small time retail thieves in jail, inflation Happens also from people being willing to buy a item that’s 20x what it should cost. Therefor not letting prices come back down. Am I stupid? Tell me your thoughts and back it up whit more than a half sided argument. Use philosophy and capable reasoning skills please.
@@blak3brutus229 You mean prosecution, right? Not prostitution? And deporting voters? If someone can legally vote they're American, you gonna deport Americans back to their own country? Unless you're talking about fringe cases of denaturalization?
Haha, took me back to my childhood when i read that. Damn Comercial/slogan was everywhere. Love it!! @melissagrant4178
They can clearly afford a hefty fine that goes towards trash clean up.
Money doesn’t buy morals and manners.
agreed so thats why the fine should be multiplied by 10 for each person on the boat.
5000$ and 1 day in jail for every individual piece of trash for each boy
that sounds like a very small price for deliberate crimes committed against our planet
Thats too far. I say $1000 fine and a week in jail
Why? The cruise ships and the US Navy dump millions of pounds of trash and sewage into the ocean. There 1 trash can is nothing in comparison.
Maximum fine is only $1000.
I say for the next six months they go out everyday and clean beaches and even go out on boats and pull junk from the water.
They should go to jail for what they did.
Hell yeah
If it were up to people like you people would go to jail for sneezing
@@feelincrispy7053 Thank you I finally found someone with a brain in this comment section
A bit harsh considering what true criminals in Calif, NY, and college campuses get. Talk about trash, look at the protests!
What the hell would the accomplish? The penalty should be a choice between community service cleaning up trash or a fine covering the costs of hiring people for triple the number of hours.
So rich kids just say sorry and nothing. So sick of it.
I know i hate it too, where i live every Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday night there's rich kids that be speeding up and down the road yelling and blasting music, some was even yelling and announcing that they was drinking and driving, and it lasted for hours and nobody ever does anything, the cops don't do anything
I hope all colleges, universities, and prospective employers see this. Actions have consequences!
"I'm sorry we got caught" sounds like a more truthful statement.
No disrespect to you, but the person apologizing was a 15-year-old in the front of the boat that had no idea they were throwing trash off the boat watch the full video next time
@@kayreinier182 Allegedly
@@kimberlysevastyanenko3798 I mean what happened to innocent before proven guilty and also you can literally see the person they’re talking about in the middle of the front row. He doesn’t even look back once.
@@kayreinier182 That's why I said "allegedly". That isn't a definitive statement. Nothing in the clip proves or disproves him having prior knowledge of the act.
They should be held accountable and pay a big fine for their stupidity.
You can thank Wavy Boats for filming them and turning these kids in, and bringing it to other people's attention.
Ah, good to know. I was wondering who it was since they didn't say so. Thanks 😸
shame on the parents who raised those kids.
Money raised those kids. The parents should lose custody
An apology isn't going to do it! There needs to be accountability!
"Sorry for whatever happened." Like WTF??? Make them do community service in a landfill.
Entirely too late to apologize 🥺.."UNACCEPTABLE"
Note the person that apologized was a teen. Maybe the most responsible person on the boat.
the horror trash in the ocean while china has literal rivers of it going in 24/7 a day. This is nothing.
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep 🧐this is such horrible logic
It was the driver who apologized. You can't do much else if you're trying to drive safe
@@vm653 comprehension issue for you bro
If they’re not being charged, charged them for underage drinking at least 🤦🏾♂️
there were mostly young adults and one teenager
@@queenel3574 all teenagers..
Those parents sure failed
These teenagers were really raised well by their parents.
No
Everyday I stray further and further and further away from humanity because of this bulls**t.
"NO CHARGES." I'm sorry...WHAT? Some punishment needs to get implemented, considering that was at least underage drinking.
Maybe be required to have 100 hours of community service cleaning trash from beaches, if the no charges idea sticks.
They're pink. No charges, no accountability.
No charges YET... pay attention.
I think they’re saying no charges yet. Not that there won’t be any. I’m sure they’re trying to find all of their identities
Yes...YET. One would think charges would be brought pretty quickly.
@@trevorjensen2706 Several jurisdictions may be at play here. EPA, Coast Guard, State, etc. Probably figuring out who's going to charge them.
The youth of today clearly never learned of the impact we have on nature.
I dunno, the teenager onboard apologized and saw that those actions were wrong. That gives me a glimmer of hope at least.
Learned from who ... the great forefathers who destroyed the environment. 😂
@@moeenuddin6467Like the big chemical companies?😉
@@moeenuddin6467 I wanted to say more but comment deleted.
They learned. They just don't care.
Thank you ladies
People can be so damn disgusting.
Thank goodness for those volunteers!!
Why is it so hard to respect the wildlife?! 😡😡
What were they thinking? They were thinking, "We gotta hide the evidence."
15 year olds partying on a boat??
a.k.a. moneyyyyyy
I went to high school with a dude who had a brand new luxury car multiple times a semester. His parents bought him maybe seven different cars over his senior year.
And I was struggling to pay for lunch 😂
Disrespectful.
Absolutely!
This is absolutely disgusting and honestly disturbing behavior. It's one thing to litter and it's another to give a giant middle finger to the environment.. wow these "kids" suck.
Littering, drinking, and vaping. They’ll be successful
No charges will be filed. It’s most likely because these teenagers come from affluent families
Big fines for all
What idiots, they should be charged and they should have to clean up the beaches for a year.
They should be charged with littering.
Horrible,please charge them , this our planet 🌎, everyone’s
We do NOT accept your apology. Charges should be filed.
Literally nobody thinks you’re cool for that.
Quite the opposite, everypne thinks you’re lame.
Oh sorry, no. Who tf does something like that on accident
They’re lucky sea monsters don’t exist😁
I was suggesting a megalodon will come up from beneath
Yeah, they really should be arrested. This is really heart broken💔
Ty girls for picking up the trash
I live here… happy to track down these spoiled, entitled brats! I doubt they were even old enough to drive the boat. I hate what the bash has become!!!!
We need this level of accountability and advocacy for the REST of the trash in the ocean!!!
Inside Edition : What were they thinking ?
Me: They weren't thinking with their heads.
Sorry he got caught liar
Exactly
I always see this type of comment whenever the video is about someone apologizing
Did you catch that it was a 15 yr old kid apologizing? Not the "adults."
Nowadays, an apology is not enough.
Let's say it like this , imagine that as a class , there's always one person to ..m Screw up for the hole class
He’s apologizing because he got caught
The person who apologized wasn’t even involved with the trash dump.
The driver was the one driving… the people in the back littering didn’t apologize, it was the driver.
I’m absolutely infuriated, the ocean is so beautiful to dump trash, those people need to live at the dump for a few years. Add in trash pick up as well. The only good thing was the apology for recognising the wrong doing
They should be publicly be shamed. Tell us their names and IG handles.
I am sorry for getting caught
What’s the point for the two trash cans? So they can dump all trash into the ocean at once? 😢
Why not sea trash dumping fined? Oh but beach puppy off leash is fined!
Why couldn't they just wait to
go back on land to dispose of the rubbish?, these people need to
be tracked down and be held
accountable for their appalling
behaviour..😤
probably because they were all teens and the trash cans were filled with beer bottles.
Disgusting!!
And here I was under the impression that Florida was a bastion of culture and awareness. I learned something today.
Worst punishment they could face may be a $25,000 to $50,000 fine, OR up to 5 years in prison
If everything was equal, those college rioters would be paying millions of dollars in fines and decades in prison for all the trash they generate.
Bless those young ladies for going out there and trying to retrieve that trash.
So is nobody going to point out that those were probably juveniles drinking alcohol and driving a boat, considering the person that made the apology is 15...?
Its kind of funny how we take dumping in the ocean more serious than on the actual land we live on lol
DISGUSTING-even for Florida.
They should be fine, write a letter to the town, ajd pay those volunteers who cleaned up their mess
Great job @WavyBoats for capturing this incident!
No excuse for this. Why on Earth would anybody want to dump trash into an ocean? Two teens who did that must be blockheads!
I love how this one incident blew up on social media but the millions of other Americans who litter regularly don't get any news attention. As an Uber driver of 5 years, I've had more trash thrown in my car than these guys threw inti the ocean. The wash near my home is saturated with trash from the homeless and neighbors. Drivers flick their cigarettes out the windows. Truck drivers sometimes don't secure their loads and it flies out in the wind.
Seriously why do people care about this ONE random incident all of a sudden?
The hell was a 15 year old doing on a party boat?
They know better than to do that what is wrong with them how would they like if we had done the same thing in their waters
Do you think they sincerely apologize?
It’s up to $50k fine and 5 years in jail.
Bless those volunteers 👏
That fifteen year old is sorry because he could be in some trouble along with his friends. When you view this, you can see everyone facing the rear of the boat where the dumping occurred, so don't try to convince us that you didn't see it.
he says he's (sorry for whatever happened)??!! that is absolutely unacceptable this is not an apology,
🎵it’s too late to apologize to late🎵
The fact that others had to clean up for their mess is so infuriating.
Shouldn’t they be charged with underage drinking ?
They should have to pay for ocean litter clean up. Maybe be sentenced to one week of cleaning beaches, etc of trash
this is what Yte privilege looks like . and they smoke, and they drank alcohol too .
You're only sorry you got caught! MUST BE fined and locked up!!!!!
Where’s the Coast Guard? They should be investigating this and charging the trash throwers Federally.
And charge them for underage drinking, plus no life jackets. They went out there to ditch their empty booze containers...
I'll never understand how someone can toss a piece of garbage on the side of the road. Or a couple of containers full of trash in the ocean. This is the stuff of Beevus and Butthead. NY state put a deposit on all bottles and cans several years ago, you won't see a discarded bottle anywhere! All states should adopt this, it would really help!
Drive through downtown Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, that is where you see trash dumped.
There should be a mandatory minimum for littering
Better yet takeaway that boat license
CHARLIE RUTH IS THE KID WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE BOAT. Make them tread water as long as those cans will!!!!!!!!
They should be fined HEAVILY, and have to pick up trash on the beach every weekend for the entire summer. Whoever owns the boat should be fined as well.
Parents should lose custody for letting teenagers party on their boat
Saw the interview. He really didn't apologize...he just made excuses.
No charges!! Unacceptable
Ummm charges BETTER be filed
Of course, as ALWAYS, they're only "sorry" when they get caught and called out.
It hurts my soul
No excuse. An apology doesn't clean up the ocean. Grow up and get responsible.
they should have to do community service for a year and a community service is cleaning up the beach... and they should be fined
Oh really? Teenager apologize AFTER publicly called out? Thats clearly genuine
They clearly weren't throwing trash into the ocean, they're still on the boat.
Hours of community service needed
All of them knew better. Trifling and ghetto.
My jaw literally dropped. Who does that?! They cannot be that clueless. Nah…I guess they’re just careless. It’s disgusting tbh.
Congratulations for the girls that pick up as much as they could
He apologized for getting caught. Life’s a party for rich spoiled kids.
Dad of captain (Charlie Ruth) big time business owner who started and sold multiple companies for millions, mom-former employee of Raytheon defense contractors. Do you guys really think anything will happen to these kids besides a slap on the wrist?
They need to do 1000 hours of community service SO THEY CAN LEARN
Should be a federal offense an jail sentence at least 6 months probation 10 years
Lol what a weird way to wake up and decide to spend your day
