I'm enjoying and learning through your videos but I have a question, what is the difference between the distributor with vacuum and the one without vacuum?
The mechanic told me that the diaphragm in that vacuum was broken and that the other throat in the carburetor does not open because of that defective diaphragm. Can I just replace that vacuum? And are the vacuums the same on both the electronic and the distributor with platinum?
Hi pj my distributor does not have a vacuum on it and the port at the back of the carb where your pipe is in mine is open should i block that off or leave it open like that
my after market carb has 3 ports one in the middle and 2 on the sides. does it matter wich port i use? to block the 2 unused ports can i put a pipe from the one port to the other un used port to block it that way?
Sorry for late reply. Just rather block off the ports that are not in use .the way I have blocked off mine..look at this video.ruclips.net/video/32AzX5n10MA/видео.html
@@mlondyngcobo9516 right above the air to fuel ratio screw there is 3 ports. use the middel port for your advance and block the two ports on the side off. if you dont have something to block them off with just take a small pipe bend it and cable tie it closed. thats what i did and it worked perfect.
@@mlondyngcobo9516 there are 3 ports I think at back of the aftermarket carb,..so block off two of them ,and use only one to connect to vacuum advance on distributor
Can you do a video on where all the carb vacuum pipes go
