Just a heads up, Mighty Minty is mostly 99% more entertaining than the movies he reviews. I rarely, if ever, miss his show. My wife and I usually enjoy his program in the morning over coffee. We live in California, so the timing is perfect. There is no better way to start the day than with a Minty review of a movie with him.We sometimes go up to three movies a week in the theater, and we're in our sixties. My father said the Australians were some of the toughest S.O.B.'s he met in WWII. They were also some of the nicest people as well..... 3:56
That scene where Voight's character gets swallowed whole and the camera's perspective is from inside the snake......legit well done. My thoughts as a teenager "this is exactly why I watched this movie".
Other than the Owen Wilson scene, the cgi is exceptional. Even the movements are great. Way faster than any giant snakes but it looks real, realistic texture, lighting, etc. So much so the animatronic actually takes me out of it more. The python in Harry Potter year 2000 looks much worse.

Thank you! I had been waiting for this for a long time. A wonderful day-saver and one of my favourite films, even if it's not a masterpiece. :D And Westridge is my favourite character, but only because he is played by Jonathan Hyde. :D Besides, his character changes the most during the film. In the beginning, his character is a whiny, snobbish, fancy pants. And at the end he becomes a hero. He saves Terry and Danny's lives, at the cost of his own. And one of his best lines is; Asshole in one! Just before he hits Serone with his golfclub.
Fun Fact: When presented on TV, *"ANACONDA"* was extended with three extra scenes that're not in the final cut. You didn't mention this, but I think that part of the appeal of this movie for me came from the excitement I had over the roller coaster of the same name that opened in King's Dominion amusement park in Virginia about 6 years prior to this film. The ride itself isn't much, especially if you compare it to the coasters built since, but it had good marketing and the logo when it first came out was really cool. I still have a mug I got from KD when I was there around the same time of the coaster opening. I didn't even ride it probably for another 10+ years because I was about 7 when the coaster opened and didn't ride roller coasters until years later.

Good one Minty. Always love your videos.
this is one of my favorite movies! thank you so much for doing this haha
Great video, Minty! I really dig Anaconda, I remember seeing it in theaters in 1997. I'd say watch Anacondas, it's a fun bad movie, directed by Dwight H Little who directed Halloween 4!
Dr Minty kicks ass!
The 4th one, iirc, had Witchblade herself, Yancy Butler, and everyone's favorite dwarf, Gimli, John Rhys-Davie. Don't really remember that much about it though lol.
Thanks Minty, I'll have to give this a rewatch. Been a minute, or 10, or 20, lol :)
Keep up these videos. I love them.
I loved this movie as a kid. The second one is also very good. Never even knew there were more than that.
I love you Minty and your content! Keep up the awesome work my friend.
The CGI looks better than half the shit we see today! What do you mean!?
Great vid Minty, thanks as always for posting!
I have such great memories of this movie and somehow, It only got better everytime I have rewatched it since... its just a fun movie.
Roger Ebert named this as one of his top 10 favorite movies.
thanks for all you hard work brother. i love the rifftrax of this movie.
