I even had an astronaut figure AND a parasite that revives. Got taken out in seconds in the first of second battle encounter. Ugh ! My Personal favorite weapon is the Hallowseeker with the newly unlocked portal beam. Ugh money ! Or the launcher with auto fire like you mentioned is pretty good too. Any particular weapon you feel works best for this place ? It’s so hard
That was pointless to buy the figurine and then activate the reconstructer since the figure will be used first leaving you with a respawn for only thos biome so that was a waste of 6 either. Use the reconstructer 1st and if you die then buy the figure
hey I assume you know, but that leech artifact triggers at 1 adrenaline level minimum, and leeches more at higher I believe, so it wasn't leeching while you were at 0 adrenaline
@@SweetJohnnyCage you can actually see it in the video it starts leeching, after you say i thought i had a leech artifact and your adrenaline hits one and hp starts shooting up, but i think you were so wrapped up in the action you didn't realize you left the fight with an almost full bar
I think the thermogenic launcher or the gun that you can create the laser traps with are best for this level. The airships need to be staggered to prevent them from shooting their missile barrages, and those two guns make easy work of them.
I am having a hard time with the ice Severed. Any tips for dispatching them more easily? Also are there any checkpoints in Biome 5? Like if I pick up one of the keys and stick it in the vault, is that permanently unlocked during the next run so I only need to find two
I'm not sure if you put a key in the door, will it save. You have nothing to lose by trying, though. If you do, please let me know! For Ice Severed, don't be afraid to get in their face with a melee attack. If you have the blade balancer upgrade, you should be able to stagger them in just one or two hits. They don't stay staggered long, but it will allow you to dump a lot of damage into them very quickly. It took me a little while to get used to the timing of their tracking ability (the orange trail that follows you when they're teleporting). They can't really jump, so try jump off a platform and dashing in mid-air when you feel they're about to reappear from their teleport. This will allow you to get some distance quickly.
i noticed for the Severed's your strategy seems to be melee'ing them for a hit after dodging it, then backing up and firing at him. is that you best suggestion to taking them down quickly here in B5? these guys are the main reason i haven't been able to beat B5 yet no matter how much i grind in B4 first!
@@SweetJohnnyCage great thanks! Will try again tonight. I’m going to try to get/keep the same weapon you used in your video as well - those multiple-hit projectiles seem to do solid damage on everything too
I'm really having a tough time with this biome. You seem to melt the Frost Severed really fast, it takes me much longer and I always end up dying. Do you have some particular upgrade? Anyway, great guide, I'll definitely follow this channel.
Hey mate, i just completed nemesis and Hyperion today and just need one key out of 3 for going into biome 5's boss. Use your ether on the reconstruction machine. Then I usually focus on getting more protection, weapon damage, integrity. if there's enough obolites left, go for silphiums (use it only when your screen is flashing red and you don't have any other healing items on the ground) and astronaut. Be careful when traversing around the laser beams as i felt it was tricky in this biome. And at last u need a good weapon indeed - I've a 21* electro pilon driver (this gun is really nice if you're a defensive style player as it does tons of damage over time effects)
Glad that i found a good Electropylon Driver. Such a lifesafer. Edit: but of course i forgot to travel back with the swim ability like you :) :(. Edit 2: left my PS5 in rest mode for biome 6 but with that i cannot start RE 8 :(.

Hey can you please tell me why you stick with the starting weapon for so long? Why not for example get the hollow seeker you found in one of the chests?
It was hubris. I thought it would be strong enough to carry me until I found a higher level version of the same gun. I paid for that when I fought against the first frozen severed. Cost me an astronaut figurine.
Something is wrong with my game. I have completed the level and cant find the dungeon for the third key? The last place I can go is a door very high in the air in the room with the fabricators! The third door leads to a gold room, not the dungeon, what do I do?
To hell with the purple lasers and barriers in this biome, and the person who thought they were a good idea, for that matter. "Unblockables" are just a cheap party trick to up the difficulty in a game and I really hate them. Everything in this game was great until I got cornered by three barriers...
The purple really is a trip. I didn't know it was unblockable until I realized I kept taking damage over and over. I feel like the game gave you tips about everything except that. And the orange barriers you need the upgraded sword to break.
Please someone, where the living hell is the button for the stone door in the challenge room in biome 5? Here he seems to have opened it accidently because suddenly it was open.

Personal favorite weapon is the Hallowseeker with the newly unlocked portal beam. Ugh money ! Or the launcher with auto fire like you mentioned is pretty good too. Any particular weapon you feel works best for this place ? It’s so hard
I am on this level and I have yet to see a full auto thermo genic. Am I missing something?
Made it to level 5 I give up its impossible to get all 3 keys
Ya just got the third key using the pylon driver and have 2 null spheres for the abyss . F that map bs
That was pointless to buy the figurine and then activate the reconstructer since the figure will be used first leaving you with a respawn for only thos biome so that was a waste of 6 either. Use the reconstructer 1st and if you die then buy the figure
@sweetjohnnyCage so based on the commentary looks like you've played this BIome many times over ...that's nice LOL
I think this was my fourth full playthrough. I had already unlocked the secret ending at this point, so yea, I went through it a bunch :D
I got up to the end of this level and my PS5 crashed.
I am so, so sorry for your loss. I'm surprised they haven't implemented a save yet.
I feel you bro, just happended to after 1 week trying so hard to get it
I'm here because mine crashed too while being far into this level
Do these keys stay after you die?
hey I assume you know, but that leech artifact triggers at 1 adrenaline level minimum, and leeches more at higher I believe, so it wasn't leeching while you were at 0 adrenaline
I....didn't know this!!!
@@SweetJohnnyCage you can actually see it in the video it starts leeching, after you say i thought i had a leech artifact and your adrenaline hits one and hp starts shooting up, but i think you were so wrapped up in the action you didn't realize you left the fight with an almost full bar
So do you have a ranking of weapons for this biome that you prefer to use? Is the thermogenic launcher the best weapon for this stage in your opinion?
I think the thermogenic launcher or the gun that you can create the laser traps with are best for this level. The airships need to be staggered to prevent them from shooting their missile barrages, and those two guns make easy work of them.
You can reach the top with the cannon
It tends to stagger them (and will make enemies), so you can get a lot of free damage on them if they fall.
The frost severed are the absolute WORST. They just melt my health away like butter. This biome is a nightmare.
How your weapon shoots so fast?
Get the hollowseeker gun, works great

How to unlock Auto on thermogenic launcher ?
Hey man! What's your button setup? Have you remapped anything, is auto-sprint enabled, just anything you have setup that's different to default...
Everything is default, but I play with an inverted Y axis.
I switched my dash to r1 so I don't have to take my thumb off r3 to dash
Yo i play with inversion as well!
I dont understand how people play without it.
Glad that i found a good Electropylon Driver. Such a lifesafer.
Edit: but of course i forgot to travel back with the swim ability like you :) :(.
Edit 2: left my PS5 in rest mode for biome 6 but with that i cannot start RE 8 :(.
Dude, that no-quitting thing is such a pain in the ass. They've acknowledged that they hear people asking about it, so hopefully they patch it. The game literally takes your console hostage for no reason.
@@SweetJohnnyCage the have patched it and it makes a huge difference!
How many times have you gone through the game? At this point ?
This recording is my second full playthrough of the game, start to finish. That said, I think I played the first 3 biomes 7 or 8 times, then 4 and 5 maybe twice or three times. I completed 6 on the first try.
@@SweetJohnnyCage nice, I’m finding this game way harder than all the FromSoft games, but loving the challenge and having to get good.
Those god damn drones fuck up my runs every time. Worst enemy in the game by far. Cant even see when they are shooting their bullets because all the shit coming out of my weapon. Thanks for the guide
If i ever manage to take all 3 keys and open the level for the boss if i lose, i have to get it again?
Hey can you please tell me why you stick with the starting weapon for so long? Why not for example get the hollow seeker you found in one of the chests?
It was hubris. I thought it would be strong enough to carry me until I found a higher level version of the same gun. I paid for that when I fought against the first frozen severed. Cost me an astronaut figurine.
If you die do you lose the keys for the main door ?
If the door hasn't been opened, yes.
Something is wrong with my game. I have completed the level and cant find the dungeon for the third key? The last place I can go is a door very high in the air in the room with the fabricators! The third door leads to a gold room, not the dungeon, what do I do?
The gold room has the key. It's one of the few levels that does that.
@@SweetJohnnyCage ok, thanks man!
Hey man good video.. Wondering if you die do you lose all the keys?
Keys for chests and regular doors, yes. But not the keys that open the boss doors. Those will always stay open after you unlock them.
@@SweetJohnnyCage weird im in biome 4 and its asking for 2 keys i got one died and now i gotta get 2 again
Oh did you not put them into the door yet?
@@SweetJohnnyCage not yet bro
@@dino007fernandes5 ahhh ok. Sorry I wasn't clear. After you unlock the door, it will stay unlocked forever.
Please someone, where the living hell is the button for the stone door in the challenge room in biome 5? Here he seems to have opened it accidently because suddenly it was open.
It opens after clearing all enemies. It sometimes gets bugged when you revive at the machine
@@Musicplay30 strange, for me every time i cleared this room it remained closed. Looked all over for the button. Thanks for your reply.
At 38:23 how is that door open? Area cleared for me but still shut.
Sounds like a bug? Are any of the other doors open in the room?
@@SweetJohnnyCage they are, only one is the gate to the new weapon
Game is good 😊
Do we jump down that big hole?????
Yes!
@@SweetJohnnyCage oh crap. I think I skipped it and went in boss room. I thought I’d die. Did I miss something important? 🥲
@@grahamkelly8662 The big hole in the middle of the main room leads to the sixth biome.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I just jumped down it and died. So I’m guessing that I needed to find some item in biome 5 to let me jump down? I picked up item I think in biome 4 that lets me walk on the lava but that hole killed me and I’ve come across a few pools of water with items in. 1 has question mark and I can’t enter those yet, either. I hope I haven’t completely missed it. So, I’m having massive headache on biome 4 and 5. Can I pods go back to biome 1 ? Or even if I can, my stats will wipe when I get back to biome 4? I’m just so pissed off, right now. I finally started making progress in this game, after struggling loads and now I’ve got a brick wall. My last go I picked up rank 20 weapon the 1 where you can shoot red laser traps and I got through biome 4 bring sneeky and I died jumping down that hole that I asked you about. Tbh I’ve had a terrible day and I know I should just go to bed as it’s 12.30am but I’m just too annoyed to sleep.
SJC, do you run straight through biome 4 onto biome 5.
Or do you always go completely through every biome to collect everything?
Also, after you beat the game, what then? You just start all the way over?
Do you still have your suit unlocks and weapon traits and stuff?
Its so much harder now than it was at this point
What makes you say that? I played through it again recently, when the DLC came out, and it felt normal to me.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I’m playing it atm, and my weapons don’t hurt any enemies. And my weapon’s stats are good. If you haven't opened the door, yes. Otherwise, the door stays unlocked.
@@SweetJohnnyCage so if I found one key, I need to find it again?
U can walk on the cable tohet the cube. There just 1 platform that allows that

Primarily the Thermogenic Launcher.
I cant find any help for the survey trophies online
Those trophies are just about playing the levels over and over and over until you find all the audio logs and ciphers. Not really anything to make a guide about, I'm afraid.
This biome has a great difficulty spike ffs. Getting desperate here
Imagine doomguy to be here.
Hahah I'm sure there's a PC mod to replace Selene with the slayer.

This biome is all about RNG and not so much skill. This was an awful run (from the player) and yet you still managed.
You are so incredibly picky lol I’ve never seen anybody play this game like this. I would have taken that Hollowseeker at least to unlock a new trait
Hahaha I am definitely picky, that's for sure. I went with what I was comfortable with to give myself the best chance of surviving the walkthrough. I would've hated to have had to start over.
@@SweetJohnnyCage Is the rocket launcher your favorite weapon? I honestly find it hard to hit stuff with it and don’t like it very much for that reason. The tracking is so bad even with full auto. I would take a hollowseeker over the launcher any time.
Yea I really like the rocket launcher a lot. Hollowseeker is a close second. The rockets work especially well underwater, and I just think they're swell haha.
I recently played through the game again and used a bunch of different weapons like the electropylon driver, rotgland lobber, dreadbound, and a couple others. I learned to love those, too.
@@SweetJohnnyCage Lobber is strong for sure. But you didn’t have an issue with the aiming for the rocket launcher? I’m always whiffing with the thing. The rockets fire in a straight line and enemies move.
@@michaelo.1320 I think because of all my years of playing Quake and Unreal Tournament in the 90s and 2000s, I'm so used to rocket launchers. I also have it ingrained in me to shoot where the enemy is going to be and not where they are, unless you're at point blank range.
