Martin! You kick ass go, go , go looking fresh! Fit and finish my brother! You got it ❤
Yall take care be safe watch out for all the deer around here.
Right on Martin. Hurt the dealerships where they try to hurt you. By charging 300% more for the parts they are nicking you 2 times. 1th on the sale of those parts and 2th on the price of the hour they charge for the mecanic. When that mecanic smokes 2 cigarettes while he is fixing your truck, you are cheaper of buying him a 10 package box of cigarettes. And you are the handy man. They won,t get rich over your back. Maybe they will start seeing that they do something wrong
Yeah it’s become legit highway robbery.
@@TruckingTogether
Awesome channel. Alot of it reminds me of an O/O I worked for back in the day when truckin' wasn't for sissy's. Question, How would someone put an application in with y'all? I'm looking to add another million to the 4 million I have already and I'm looking a true owner operator outfit, not a entrepreneur or some snotty nose kid thinking that that piece of paper hanger on their wall says they know everything there is about trucking. Again awesome channel
Looks amazing you guys
Thanks for the video Martin.
Martin keep up the good work and shopping. Enjoyed the video.
Good morning! Did I notice a “new” insulated flannel shirt? If so, I think the old one should up on the wall for a conversation piece! Of course with the holes in the back facing out! Lol
Yes lol. But that ones to fancy to get dirty.
Looks great Martin have a good day thanks for the video
Good beautiful morning y'all
Good idea with the zipties on the cab shock. You are a good teacher. JM
Lol martin some times it is work harder to get smarter in my case. Trucks are looking good yall glad y'all's adjusting to the new place
Got enough room now for Green APU....that shiny hint looks good
I found a used one for 7k lol. It wouldn’t go on the back though. It would get hidden.
@@TruckingTogether that's awesome. I've seen some under cab and quiet to where u could barely hear it
Too close, Martin. It may come back to bite you someday.
Ya. Maybe it’s too close. But it’s all about the look! I bet my Bridgestone M726 wouldn’t fit. They are a little bit taller. All in All I like the look!
Good to see you Martin great video’s
Look so much better with that dear guard gone. Take care be safe🎉❤
Great job Martin 💪🏻✌️👍❤️☮️
Removing the saddle box on Tiny Dancer now gives more room 2 release that yellow liquid when necessary!!!!!!😎😉😂🤣😅🫣🤭
You should donate that saddle box to me Martin. 😂
I sold it like the next day lol.
Well here I go with the back in the day again but I remember when the dealerships were competitive and also would have parts on sale not so much these days.
Nice footage & Gr8 Additions to TINY!!!!!!!🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊😎📽📹🎥📸🇺🇸🫡🫱🏻🫲🏾
Great comments on the cost of parts - doesn't have to be factory of your saving almost or half of what the manufacturers dealer is selling them for. How are the prospects for getting signed on with a company to haul going? Hopefully with the events of yesterday, something might open up for you and Alice.
Nice … 😊
Hey, you could put a 4 inch galvanized 7 ft long pipe in the ground and use that tool box for a snow plow proof mailbox.
Wow they sure have puny plows, where you are.😂 Solid rod, or fugedabodit. I still have large snow banks around me from last week's plowing.😮
Lookin good Martin. 👍
I agree Martin. If you need to throw chains on your tires to move, your better off parking anyway.
when you replace those cab shocks next time remember to kick your own ass for not using anti seeze on those bolts.
Never had a problem. Ever. so I’ll keep on keeping on. Don’t wanna look like the tin man.
It's a pleasure to watch someone work on a truck who knows what
" Cool" is supposed to look like.
Hi Alice and Martin
Looks good driver. Personally I would just switch out the centre panel and replace the mudflaps and weights. Not sure if u can get ahold of cow mats, they look great and hold up way better. ran them on my truck and trailer🤘
Stay tuned lol. That’s all done…. The flaps are cow mat just the weights were crusty.
“My sweet-ass Stanley tape measure.” 😂😂😂
I got like 4 measuring tapes but ofcourse only the crustiest Stanley is nearby when you need one lol
@@TruckingTogether Exactly. 🤣
hello martin , nice work on your peterbilt on anything.:: wonder whats the status on greg’s green peterbilt and his 60 series detroit ? finally running yet ??
Been working 2 weeks now.
Martin, Wisconsin has big dear issues on some highways.
we made out like bandits on Fancy’s deer hit 🤷🏼♀️
Lol...not all Wisconsin deer can read the deer crossing signs and will cross anywere they feel like 😉!
@@gtnoslp don’t care we have backup trucks and fix the damage ourselves. We made about 20k off of Fancy hitting the last one after repairs
Genuine paccar parts are ridiculous down here…. I just paid $431.00 (Aussie) for a cab airbag, and about $370 for each shock for my 909. Freaking ridiculous 😡
Quarter Fender locations should work well in the midwest where you have to use chains not sure how that's going to work out for you but I'm sure you thought about that Dirt Cheap just rip them off and replace them not a big deal.
I can remove them in seconds.
I need one of those boxes
l found KYB shocks cost more but more durable then Monroe and they maybe cheaper then Peterbilt. l guess WD-40 would leave too much of a mess. lt's interesting seeing you work on your trucks.
It doesn’t make any sense a dealership charging way more than what they should. Oh it does if all you are after is to suck every dime you can get out of your customer. So all what that does is instead of the dealership and a truck owner to form a team which is beneficial to both now each side is only in it for themselves and then if one can get something over the other one then so be it. Sounds very childish. It seems this is the way the world has gone. Good to see you working on the trucks. I would have not thought that the bumper you had on the truck cut the fuel back that much. With the prices of fuel the way it is ya got to squeeze every mile you can get out of a gallon. Another fine video guys. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you, D…
More expensive cause they are truck parts ? Like you said Martin : highway robbery
Hey Martin, nice job, looks great, hopefully you never have to chain up though, might be a bit tight. LOL.
Only the back axle lol. If I have to though they come off within seconds
I just got my truck I’m from California I can use the bracket too
Ok…we got a Wednesday video! 🙂
Activities you're funny
Hi Martin & Alice. Martin you are one hell of a handyman. I can't believe Peterbilt want to charge you that price. You are a very smart man shopping around. I hope all goes well I knew endeavour take care cause we care. 👍⛽🚛🔧🛠️
You probably change them enough where it’s not an issue but I normally throw some anti-seize on the bolts and shocks 👍
I would’ve but didn’t have any. 3/4” Milwaukee takes care of them though.
@@TruckingTogether HAHAHAHAHA and what the Milwaukee can’t a torch can !
I’m waiting on the Air Dog install……. I have a FASS on mine and can give you some of my experiences with it since they are similar
Can’t be stuck if it’s liquid. lol
Hopefully when it warms up a bit it’ll be going on.
16:45 There's got to be a better looking set of fenders on the market than these.
There are but for what I wanted to spend right now these did the trick.
@@TruckingTogether Alright, I understand and thank you for reply!! Sorta helps me going forward as I continue reading/watching your channel as to what yall do with the trucks especially given current markets in this field. Please stay safe!!
Maybe Martin can answer this for me,what exactly is the purpose of these extended chassis trucks, other than looks?
ride
Looks lol. I honestly didn’t see a difference between 290” or 265”. My low air leaf Pete on 265” actually rode better than my old kw on 290.
@@TruckingTogether I mean like the show trucks with the stretched frames,I’ve seen a few of them on the road, and was wondering is actually a purpose or is it just looks.cause those things have to be a bitch to back into some docks
F@@leedouglass9636not really,,, it not that difficult when U knw wutt Ur doing!!! Long wb when done rite has an INCREDIBLE RIDE
So what if you have to throw chains to get out of a situation?
Hi Martin I can use that tool box
I sold it.
Move to White Tail country, and take the deer and moose catcher off.😂 Oh well. Go South young man, go South.😂
I’d have to hit one everyday for that ugly @$$ bumper to pay for itself. With how they’re built too I don’t have much confidence in them since when my dream team barely touched a wall with it it bent the damn thing backwards. I’ll keep hitting my deer and get about 1mpg better.
@@TruckingTogetherI'd only expect 1.5" bars to stand up to that. Touching a wall. Ouch!
Best wishes Martin.
If someone didn’t know better, they would think that trucking is just fixing broken down trucks every week. Maybe it’s time for some actual upgrades to NEW equipment.
what’s broken on it?
Good morning Martin saving a lot of money doing it yourself when r you guys getting back on the road keep on trucking safe
Martin, thank you for the info you share to help others. I have a question about putting lights in the mirrors but I have a T680. Do you know the best place to get power for them ? Again thanks for your knowledge.
I just put some on tiny so there is a video coming up about it, however on a T680 you don’t have door marker lights so what I would do is pull them through the door and wire to either a light switch or a spare switch. On a 579 it’s easy because you can tee of right at the door marker on the bottom.
I was thinking the marker lights on the side of the hood. I want the turn signals to work as well. I would just have to run along under the hood to get there. Does that sound good ?
Since the 579 has a harness in the door for it I imagine the t680 might too since it’s all made the same. I wouldn’t go to the hood because of the tilt, too much hassle. You can get turn signals at the fuse box. Worth popping the door panel off and seeing though.
Hey Martin, when are you getting back to work. You can't keep living off your wife's good looks!!
🇺🇸✌️🇬🇧
You move to deer land and want to take your hood guard off 🤔
🙌🙌🙌🙌
What about chains
what about them
shockingly shocks! har..har..har.. want get bounced around now! comforting to think about! see U on the rebound! & don't forget, U can also ride on air pillows! Ahhhh...
yup! now U'r finding extra parts. this is why men never read instructions! otherwise this wouldn't be such a surprise! just say'n wear'em if U got'um.. Nice!
Hi not sure what is the future is no one's ever explained it, will any truck every transport Freight or work on trucks.
Hopper bottoms and Enddump trailers are big in the Midwest not so much Van/ Reefer work. Just really not sure what your intentions are one would think you'd research an area before you moved there to find out what kind of industry you could thrive in and hit the ground running. A better choice would have been Texas working in the oil field industry you got to put all those power units to work the same day. Freight is just that Freight what dictates the price of per mile is the value of the freight it seems like no one's never figured that out.
I’d say reefer is huge in the Midwest as well. Trucks will haul freight, I’ll tell you this. The past 2.5 years has been a blur for both of us and we are enjoying the fruit of our labor. Trucks are all paid off and I’m being picky on what and when we go out. It’s nice seeing your kids grow up once in a while.
Which one can I drive
For the right price. Either one lol
Hay don’t see CHP/EPA driving around looking to stick it to the MAN ! Now u can vote the same color as ur trucks ! Without feeling offended
This country is trying awful hard to make it hard on the American people for some reason buy judging the cost of things nowdays
When are you gonna start trucking again??? I'm confused about the move and no wheels turning.
we have money we don’t have to be in the trucks right now
NEVER buy anything from the stealerships. The markups are crazy that they charge.always look elsewhere at first.i realize sometimes you have to use the stealerships but if you don't then don't..if you like throwing your hard earned money away then go to the stealership.
