Hey Sobi, epic video as always! I always love watching you catch fish, it makes me want to go out, unfortunately this winter has been terrible for ice and snow. I guess we better be getting the boat out soon and bass fishing again! Keep up the good work! 👊

The season didn't go fast, it was short. Late ice and early melting. Awesome video.

Sobi I definitely agree with you on how fast winter has came and gone so fast!!! Now with me living in southern Iowa like last year we had to reschedule my local ice fishing tournament to February because the lake we have it on every year would not freeze over thick enough for probably close to a hundred people!!! It did end up freezing good enough so that we could have it towards the end of February!!! Then this year we didn’t get good ice for longer periods of time so that you could go for longer days in a row!!! But with days that would not stay in the lower temps for many days in a row!! The ice did finally freeze over and it froze up to 8 to 10 inches of ice and it stayed thick enough to fish for at least 4 weeks and it would definitely be warmer when you was able to go out and not have to dress like an Eskimo to stay warm!!! Hopefully I made that so you could understand what I was trying to say?? Lol!!! It was definitely more enjoyable to go out for sure to ice fish!!! Awesome video buddy and thank you so much for the catch, clean, cook video!!! I definitely like those videos like I always say!!!!

Been a crazy un-winter kind of season. Thanks for the hard water action. I’m guessing if past is prologue winter will rear it’s head again in your area, but I hope your on that spring crappie bite sooner than usual this year 🎣.

I feel the same Sam. We still have 9 inches here in North Central Wisconsin. But it feels like a very short season. We're supposed to hit upper 50's next week. So that should be weird. Still in the basins here though. Take care and great video as usual!

Sam I'm from SE MI I'm in my 30s we used to get ice in early December and fish u til late March early April every year on lake st Clair. There hasn't been a car on that lake in 7 years and we got machines out for exactly one week this year and got 3 weeks of fishing. It's pretty crazy. The last 2 years we had first ice 4 times.

You're not a gills before crappies for eating guy huh? I prefer gills for sure, way more firm and bit more flavor. They're all good, but give em a side by side taste test sometime. Enjoy!

Yeah but crappie don't get them black spots and you get more meat each filet at the same size fish

Think about it this could be mother nature's trick. It could be below zero again.. it started out today I was wearing a T-shirt and by the end of the day I was sitting outside the fishing show wishing I had a warmer jacket and getting snowed on waiting for the bus because I can't drive right now (not alcohol related)

Youre fishing 5FOW....Raise rod arm up, grab line with off hand and yank em out...that way you put the line back in and its at the same depth and you dont waste time getting back down to the school that could be gone in seconds.
