especially the part where the guy grabs a finger hole of a can with SAK to open it. I've seen the same creative thing in iphone's secret features video: a guy switched light (pushed the switch) with iphone. I was like: OMFG, can this really do it??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I clicked on the video expecting another "Did you know Swiss army knives had a wire stripping function?" kind of video. My expectation could not have been more wrong. Thank you very much for the effort you put into this video.
I've used every tool on mine many times, but you've given me new ideas! I liked the scissor-fork and combining the blade with the wire stripper in one step.
You know, of all the educational videos I have watched on RUclips, this has to be one of the most useful ones yet. Thank you for taking the time to make this!😎
Best single tutorial I have ever seen. I have always thought of the package hook and the can opener as pretty useless for my needs but you opened my eyes to their indispensability.
I got my first Swiss Army knife (Huntsman) as one of my graduation gifts for my middle school graduation (not my first knife, though). I still have it along with a whole collection of SAKS. Right now, I carry the Swiss Army Champ knife. I got it with my first paycheck at my first job. I will forever be a fan of SAKS.
Actually visited the SAK manufacturing plant in Switzerland years ago. Primary use of the corkscrew was for freeing frozen bootlace knots, I learned. Also makes a fine corkscrew. :-)
Great video... Very well demonstration of the correctly uses of swiss knife... I know Most of people they even after owning it They actually don't know the uses of ALL OF IT ... !!!! 😊👍🏻
Amazing! You have done better job than the whole Victorinox market team IMO. This video provide both knowledge and ASMR effect(by not adding voice and music which is nice!). Thank you for this.
These tricks are great! I've used the can opener as an orange 🍊 peeler. It works well, though the Wenger lobster claw style works even better. It's also good for opening up packages and saving your main blade.
Thank You, for the good ideas, Sir! I’m quite SHURE, that the Swiss Army Knife Inventers, never thought about it, when they made it. It’s all Your’s ideas. And it craves a very smart, clever Brain, to figure it out. Big Thumbs up!😀👍
Take the tweezers and thread it through the corkscrew. Insert the end of your “cigarette” in the tweezers, pull back until snug. Roach clip! Worked great in the 70’s.
In at 2.25 I'm already thinking: GENIUS!! At 8.30 now and I'm speechless, such brilliance from Jony I LOVE IT! @MacGuenther I agree, Jony, Felix, the best.
"If you never carried a Swiss Army Knife, carry one for one week then stop carrying it. You will quickly find that you can't do without it anymore". I just don't remember who said that, but it's so true... 😀 I've been carrying a small, light Minichamps for almost all my life. Does everything I need, just don't ask it impossible tasks. My Father carried a larger model all his entire life.
All it takes is a good imagination & you can do almost anything with a Fieldmaster in your pocket. The two things that really stood out to me (things I haven't done) were the reaching saw & the split-ring tweezer grip mod!
Great video. I've carried SAKs for many years, and still learned a few new tricks. The video also supported my long-held opinion that the scissors are a waste of space.
Some nice uses of the Swiss Army knife. I knew some of these would not bother with others. I can strip cable easily enough with the blade not stuck point first into a piece of timber for instance. But some stuff I learned, good video.
You forgot one! The wood/bone saw is also perfect to brush the fur of a dog, specially in spring when the winter fur has to be thinned out. Hunters prefere the SAK saw to any comb or brush.
Excellent 👍 one you missed. Stitching leather with string. Create hole with the awl, thread string through hole in the awl, then pull awl and string back out of the hole, to create a stitch. Sounds complicated but very simple in practice.
For 40 years, people have been giving me SAKs for Christmas and my birthday. I have drawers full of them. Each time, the giver insists that this latest one will be useful, but they're just...not useful. They are interesting toys, for sure. Many of the things shown in this video have no real-world value, or take more effort to do with the SAK. Other things are sortof laughable. Some of the things shown were incredibly clumsy or contrived. The limb saw was a new one, but actually a safety issue, as shown. I really tried using each of the SAKs I was given. For every minor success, there must have been 100 major failures. Despite all the nasty oil in which the SAKs sppear to have been soaked, many of the SAKs have rusted. Also, the oil does not seem to function as a lubricant, as the implements tear my nails, but require a tool to open. For most of the implements, I have been unable to find a viable use. Years ago, we did a survival exercise. By the time I was done, I had a house (complete with doors and windows), various dishes, utensils, floor mats, furniture (sofa, chairs, table, workbench), a comfy bed, a washing area, plumbing (with faucets and running water), a bathroom, and various toys. Several others went with their SAKs--and constantly wanted to borrow my tool. They failed the exercise. Could a SAK have done the job my tool did? Maybe. Could it have done the same job in the same time? Not a chance. Honestly, I was really proud of my work, but was not the winner. The winner had only a Buck knife, but you'd never have known to see his work. He was in a different group, so I did not get to see his work until afterward. My point is, when I need something I can rely on, it won't be a SAK. I really don't know of a situation in which I would choose a SAK over the other options available. Even if SAKs were suddenly the only option, there is no one SAK that would do the job. Maybe 3 or 4 would be needed to have what was needed for just daily activities. I am unable to justify the weight for the minimal function it may provide--especially when there are a plethora of options that will do a better job, and will do whatever is needed. In one word, SAKs are inadequate.
I have carried one of these wonders for over 40 years and was not aware of half of what you have shown here. Thanks so very much.
I’ve carried a SAK for over 50 years. Hardly a day goes by I don’t use it
Same for me
I've been a SAK fan for decades. I've used a few of these tricks but that was a lot of tricks and tips I didn't know. Very creative.
The mobile phone was a brick when I knew most of these.🤣
When I got my first SAK they didn't even have mobile phones. Ow. LOL.

This is amazing! You are the McGyver of our beloved SAK! Thank you.
So basically the secret function is to be smart and crafty 😀 Well done, well done.
I've used every tool on mine many times, but you've given me new ideas! I liked the scissor-fork and combining the blade with the wire stripper in one step.

This is one of the best SAK vids I've ever seen. Thank you!
Best single tutorial I have ever seen. I have always thought of the package hook and the can opener as pretty useless for my needs but you opened my eyes to their indispensability.
I use the hook all the time to pull pots off the fire with the metal wire handles.
I’ve used the tin opener several times camping or the regular tin opener has decided to go walk about :)
@@liamdownes1475 Yea, I use it. It works pretty good. You go forward with it, rather than backwards like a "normal" camp knife.
@@jaimemartin6704 I like that it sharpens itself when you use it, added bonus there ^^
@@liamdownes1475 Never thought of that, but yea.. it kinda does cause the edge of the can rounds to the left.

Yes, that corkscrew is a good corkscrew.
Excellent video. I hadn’t thought of some of these tricks and I’ve carried Swiss Army Knives for 40 years.
I've seen most of these except the cellphone stand and the wire holder for soldering. Good job!
The tweezer and split ring trick was cool. But filix imlars channel covers all these tricks and more with his s.a.k knife "tips and tricks" series.
Great video...

I love Swiss Army knives as well as ingenious functional pocket tools.
Bloody brilliant, loved every second 🙌
Thank you RUclips algorithm. A video I needed that I didn’t know existed. Scary how they know me so well. Great video! Well done.

This is going in my playlist for further study. Great video!
We want Swisschamp version of it :)
Great video congrats!

Is this the Huntsman model that is featured?
That kickstand function of the bottle opener just changed my life

One of the most creative videos I've seen in a while. Great job. (subbed)

some high quality moves there. nice work. thanks

Now I rather like the scissors in my Leatherman, which I wish had the tweezers of the SAK which I owned for a very long time, till I lost it.
I find I use the scissors a lot on mine
Those scissors are great for trimming toenails
Victorinox Explorer + Spirit X = BEST EDC ever!!! + Knipex Cobra 150 = best of the BEST tool combo ever!!!
Now, if I can just remember all these when I need them. :) Great video.
I have used it only for few purposes. But your video shows multiple uses.thanks a lot.
Cool and helpful movie. Saw on stick is the best of all. Great job!
This video should have A warning: Caution...Genius at Work!
Спасибо дружище за классный обзор. Много фишек узнал новых. Ты пользуешься huntsman,ом или handyman,ом?
Outstanding! This is far beyond fantastic. I had to share it a ton of times. And I have to have another SAK
This was not in my "SAK Compact" user guide! Amazing
