- After the last video a couple folks asked about tunes to go with The Butterfly in a set - and I can't believe it's taken me this long to realize that I need to links some of these videos together to discuss (or at least suggest) possible sets of tunes.
Redican's Mother goes by a bunch of names (I've heard it as The Black Haired Lass and Ryan's) and it's a good one to follow The Butterfly, I think. Check it out and let me know if you agree!

The butterfly, Redican's Mother, and Gort Na Mona sounds like a good set.
I definitely like the idea of sets. I like the two tutorials in separate videos but a combined play through like you did here.
I like the setting of this video....nice room with the fireplace!!!😯
The other instruments I play (harp, mandolin) have a lower range than the whistle, so I get caught off guard when I try to bring a tune I know on one of them to whistle and realize it goes below the bottom D. It's good to have a few strategies to fake that.
Excellent playing as always.
I need to ask, have you tried the Silver Tube by Gary? And if so, how does it compare to the Brass you mostly use (in high D)? I have the "Stealth III Silver Whistle, Trad High D Narrow Bore", and I love it.
