      Trying to find binary right and wrong in history (or anything) is folly. We can assign better and worse people/ideologies/sides to a conflict, but actually saying the better side was fully in the right is misleading at best. The entire point of history is to learn from it, deciding "this side was right" blinds you to most of the lessons that are there, even if that was the objectively better side.

      It's shocking how many parents and school board members can't recognize this and want things they see as bad removed from textbooks, as if knowing something happened will make people agree with it. In the early 80’s my dad introduced me to a man that was in the IRA. I asked him what that was and he said Irish Republican Army. Then I asked what he did, thinking as a child that was an actual army, he said “I was the tail gunner in a bread truck”. My dad later had to explain to me the whole deal. I thought the guy was joking because my dad and him were laughing when he said it. Dude was no joke. Ever since I’ve always had a fascination with the IRA.

      so the guy he met. was basically saying he tried to kill mums and kids just out doing a bit of shopping. he could never have been in one of the 'tail gun' attacks on troops or police as they all got killed. he could only have been trying to kill civilians in his attacks.

I'm an Irish man, who supports Irish independence...but planting bombs in a city centre on a Friday afternoon, killing women and children...is not freedom fighting. • @drrisen-9442
      @drrisen-9442 Год назад +7

      @El Bearsidente American culture is less of a culture in and of itself so much as a big mish mash of other cultures mixed together. There’s a reason America is called a melting pot after all. One of the ways we keep a sense of familial heritage is celebrating the cultures of our ancestors in as best a way as we know, and I don’t believe there’s anything wrong with that, even if we can be a bit ignorant about the specifics.

    • @bnup2791
      @bnup2791 Год назад +2

      @El Bearsidente This also happens in Australia. It's funny because you never hear the ethnically English people say "As an Englishman", it's only the people with non-English/partial non-English backgrounds. I've never understood why. I think it's fine from people who grew up in dual-culture households tho. Like where one parent is an immigrant who instilled their culture into them.

    • @drrisen-9442
      @drrisen-9442 Год назад +1

      @El Bearsidente Also, they don’t call themselves Irish or German. They call themselves Irish *American* or German *American* or African *American.* At the end of it, we’re still Americans, through and through. I think that’s part of the misconception other nations have about us ‘stealing’ their culture. We aren’t practicing a particular foreign country’s culture, we’re practicing ethnic culture through the lens of American society, passed down for generations since our forefathers came here.

      but nonetheless, stealing German WW2 tech was always a viable option, but apparently the constant cycle of refreshing losses on the design team with new recruits, it seemed to lead to a mathematical feedback loop wherein each subsequent generation of death incidents would spur on the subconscious telepathical panic broadcast (we think this is related to the sensation of "your life flashes before your eyes") and at least some of the neurological pattern data would be uploaded to people within 8th z-wave range resulting in the 2 replacements becoming aware and emotionally responding to the news that the English are murderers and rapists, then passing that knowledge again with the TPB, and again, and again, and again, quickly leading to the 2 replacements having an enormous rage and superhuman will with an extraordinary capacity for violence, and as the 2 murdering rapists were aging and growing weaker, the 2 replacements would gain the upper hand, this entire process only took 3 minutes and 18 seconds, the balance of power would be equalized and then briefly tip into favoritism due to the unique astrological positioning of Mars that month, and the resulting TPB from the repeatedly dying old ones would result in a perfectly aligned Z-wave collision of supreme being energy, which would instantly give birth to a cosmic entity known as the Provisional Irish Republican Army

    I own an AR180 with an original 2.75 x scope marked Armalite. I have "converted" several standard AR/NATO magazines and CHANGED THE FOLLOWERS to newer anti-tilt ones, I have had no feed problems. That was a 40 round mag in the video, more prone to problems. I find that the folding stock is a great design; I have had no problems with mine. The Barrel is a 1:12 twist and loves 55 gr. bullets 62 gr. works ok ,no key holing at 100 yards but I wouldn't run any heavier bullets . The piston gas system is flawless, clean and simple to clean. The bolt is similar to any AR 15 but not interchangeable. There is No interchangeability with AR15s on anything with the AR180. These rifles were made by Armalite in Costa Mesa California, Sterling in England and Howa in Japan. Another Piston operated AR style rifle is the Tiawanese T-91 those built uppers are still sold in the US by Wolf of Wolf Ammo and they work well also. Brownells has an upper based on the AR180 that is the most recent adaptation that they have developed. The video didn't really do the 180 much justice..IMO but Thanks anyway.

    Hey Brandon, the plastic furniture that was "made by Mattel" was actually for the early production batches of XM16E1's that were used in the Vietnam War. I'm not sure how this myth wound up being transferred over to the AR-180, but it certainly isn't true for this weapon.

    • @killiandawson4674

      @jemangecul It could very well be a mix of the two, with the later M16's that were issued retaining that nickname due to also being made with plastic furniture. Combine that with earlier stories of M16 grips or handguards that had "Made by Mattel" stamps on them, and that's how a (relatively) modern myth gets born.

    The front pin is actually a pivot pin, just like in the AR15. There's a window at the back of the receiver set, above the stock shank, to push the recoil plate/rod assembly forward which disengages the upper from the lower to pivot down/forward. Many will use a bullet nose to do this but anything else similar would do.

      @@W0DAN88 Depends. Shotguns and rifles are generally easy to get if you say its for hunting. Semi-auto shotgun mag tubes are restricted to only fit 2 shells if its for hunting, making you being able to only shoot 3 shots without reloading, pump action shotguns dont have mag restrictions oddly enough. Hand guns are harder to get, but you can get some revolvers easier if its for hunting raccoon dogs for example. TLDR; yes and no, stupid regulations exist for the guns also.
      Being able to get a gun permit for hunting, reguires you to have a hunting license, which can be acquired by taking a course that includes gun safety, hunting laws, learning to identify animals etc and then passing the final exam. Taking the course is not necessary but its advised, but you can do the final exam straight away also and its enough for getting a hunting license if you pass the test.
