- The 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is now available as part of Forza Horizon 5's Series 22 update! Unfortunately... it came with broken suspension physics where the car is constantly bottoming out. Yes even with max ride height rally suspension with stiff springs, the car still bottoms out.

Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series S1-Class performance review:
As mentioned in the title, there is something very wrong with the suspension physics on the AMG with the car constantly bottoming out. While it doesn't really affect much performance wise, on certain tracks with lots of sidewalk you can get some speed loss.
As for the car itself performance wise, it is ok. It has decent handling overall but acceleration wise is on the weak side and lacks top speed too. Pretty decent all-rounder but not amazing.
The only thing holds it back is its current broken suspension physics.

Forza plz fix the suspension on the AMG GT Black Series and High 350Z! Yes high 350z also has suspension issues.
EDIT: The Devs has fixed the broken suspension in the Series 23 update of FH5.

The Black Series also has the most expensive upgrade in Forza history interestingly.
You can do an Engine Swap with the Pagani Zonda R's V12 which costs 900,000 Credits at the moment.
It's been confirmed as a Bug by PGG and it's supposed to be 90,000 which I think is the new highest Engine Swap price anyways (most are around 50-80k iirc).
Definitely a cool engine swap though but not one I'd do myself, especially since that would only be useful for S2 where the car would struggle.

I found this car actually beats 911 gt3 rs in gt7 bc black series is more faster than gt3 rs bc it has 720hp and gt3 rs has 491hp

It’s been awhile since I liked a new car from them, but for some reason I really like using this car. This with the F1 safety car livery is a solid 9/10.
this car is unbelievably good in high speed corners. the only problem with it I found so far is the engine sound's kinda muted
Someone on Nexus Mods found out that PG used the Exhaust sound file for both the engine and the exhaust, which causes it to be more windy and a bit quiet.
Muted is putting it nicely. It sounds like a car in deep REM sleep !

Judging from the results of some of these races, the car is still pretty competitive even with broken suspension.
The broken suspension doesn't really affect the performance. It just makes the car a little unpredictable at times which can catch you off-guard.

Great looking car and I'm glad it's finally in the game. Apparently it has the wrong Exhaust Sound applied in the files so it just sounds like the standard AMG GT-R so hopefully that's fixed if true.
Otherwise I didn't notice any bottoming out myself although I haven't done a lot of driving in places like Guanajuato yet. Hopefully that gets fixed as well if it's car related rather than tune, I normally run some of the K1Z Guys' tunes so that should be good for comparison with Nalak's.
the black series sounds like the original tho. so its the wrong file for the GT-R
@@nniklask It has a different sound due to using a Flatplane Crankshaft compared to the GTR, it's not a massive difference but in low revs it's less rumbly while it's more pitched at higher revs.

Not certain how the suspension is broken on this, will give it another go but last I gave it a run it was fine, no bottoming out even when checking telemetry so maybe a tune issue? too low? not presuming to know, great content as always.
Generally most top tuners tune at max ride height. The suspension bottoming out won't affect the cars performance. The issue arise where it might make the car unpredictable at certain situations. Going over sidewalks the game may register you as hitting a wall. You will need to drive at tracks like Panaromica Sprint to notice it. It is also very noticeable in Hot Wheels with all the high G turns.
I'm pretty sure that if you were using the F1 livery on the last race you'd have won the race. It gives moa powa! 🏎️

I used it earlier to do the hot wheels series event and it was bottoming out really bad there also.
Use Rally Suspension tuned like Race for Hot Wheels, helps a lot with the bottoming out due to all the weird track angles and high G Forces.

I don't see any problems here, looks fine to me. Although when I tried it stock it cornered amazingly and when I tuned it, it became sluggish and understeery which doesn't normally happen to me

I actually can't tell something's wrong using the video. I've driven the Hi-Car Z a bit, and I really enjoyed it too, so I'm confused. I can't believe I'm asking this when I've played racing games since I was 5 at most, but how do I tell when the suspension's bottoming out?
Throughout the race, you hear the car is hitting something. Like a thud which is the sound when the car is bottoming out. This bug doesn't really affect the cars performance but it does make the car unpredictable under certain conditions. Also you will lose a lot of speed going over certain sidewalks as the game thinks you hit a wall.

I think finding a session is faster in fh5 and has a shorter loading time. FH5 also has custom adventure where you can choose what class of racing you want to do.
I wouldnt say its broken but it feels still soft, how dare you do that ,never do that again forza devs, fix it please
It has something to do with the collision physics as the suspension still feels "soft" with very stiff tuning settings.

When I tried this in the time Trial I fell in love with it. I got the car, tried it in the Hot Wheels playlist by just improving engine and Gearbox and my GOD I did not expect it to do so good. It's one of those few cars I find myself comfortable using in RWD
Why is it so hard to pass people in this game, you’re clearly faster than most of these people.
To the ones that don't know, this car broke the nurburgring lap record(the gt2rs) by mili seconds in wet conditions!! So the gt2rs mr was able to take it back also by mili seconds in dry conditions.
So if this car would try it again in the nice conditions, i think it cam take it back.
Same with the amg one, it broke the lap record in wet😎😎😎

It's great to drive but bit too heavy even with weight reduction, but I guess that's what you would expect from Mercedes
