The only time I have difficulty with torp is when the suicide charge. I can dodge torp salvos all day long. Had a game once in Massachusetts with 3 destroyers. Trying thirty torps later and three dead destroyers ya took 1. Torp. Can do it in jean bart. Nelson Iowa Colorado. It's just awarness
vii hipper was raving about this ship. He showed it is tanky with its armor and works great with an agile build. I tend to detest tier 6 and have been burned by several in the past. This seems like a no brainer and one to get before they pull it.
Un til now, tier six has been terrible for cruisers. Algerie you can run with, Fiji you can hide, but the rest tend to blow up when a tier seven battleship even looks at them. I've ground every line (apart from the italian one, which I just couldn't get behind) and tier six was really difficult for all of them.

Iv been trying to decide whether to get this as iv been trying to play cruisers more. Iv just got graf spree and was looking at this and the munchen, I noticed straight away Weimar is a better munchen. I think I will go ahead and buy the Weimar. Great video thanks 👍
If you really want to know buy them all. But take it from someone who does know,the Graf Spee will earn you more and rank 5 is more fun. Save your money.Buy the Graf Spee and be done with it.
I’ve played München a bunch in addition to getting Weimar last night. Get Weimar first. She’s far easier to play. If you really like it and it goes on sale in the future, get München. She plays really similar. And you’d have another VI for that nice 1.5x first win bonus. Both are far superior to Graf Spee. But she was my first premium so I won’t say much worse than that.

I got the Graf spee as 1st it's German and I have my best crews and 2nd I thought it may help the transition from battleships, I bought it at the same time as the sharnhorst quite recently. I need heavier cruisers for now, my lack of map knowledge and experience with anything other than battleships means I usually take some hits so I have to be able to withstand some damage before I get comfortable . It's a definite learning process but slowly I'm improving. If anyone can recommend any other durable cruisers TT or prem it would be helpful.
Beautiful play on the Iowa, I think this will be really good for arena and ranked dpm + good sonar, I don't want to buy this but in order to be competitive I may have too. You think this better than Fiji or Belfast?, Torp setup is certainly better
Red North Carolina had a fun game. Started to push like he should and got melted by something he couldn't see or hit back at. This seems to encourage hiding in the back, something this game definitely does not need more of.
I don’t know… I’ve seen these things get slapped back to port within the first minute. Doesn’t bring much to the table we already have too many HE spammers at high tiers. I’ll stick to the Americans if I want to spam HE.

Look, as someone who finishes games as a mid-pack player, this thing made me a top tier player LOL. Pretty sure my win rate win up after yesterday. Its a beast, even for average players...in other words it is idiot proof. Will they nerf it? who knows. Will the playerbase adjust to it and limit its impact? YES. Better enjoy it while you can.
This ship won't make you a better player. It's an easy ship to play well and if you are good it's a real menace. It's strong points are very good hydro, easy to aim, and ferocious DPM. Otherwise, it's still a cruiser and if the other team really wants you gone, you're going to be gone. Not much you can do about it. However, if the other team are complete drooling idiots (chances are good) and ignore this ship, it'll raise six different kinds of hell very quickly. It's a good ship, especially if you're good at cruisers. It's not nearly as OP as some would have you believe.
People whine about the damage output it has but don’t seem to notice that it’s armour and manoeuvrability mean it will have to be played carefully to survive….. especially given the number of people out there with a shoot on site mentality towards it.
I am a fair to good player. I got this thing because of the word of mouth. This thing makes me look like a top tier. This ship probably should be at least T7. If it’s armor was a little better I think it could be a legendary tier.
Did you get a new mic or just change some settings? I wasn't a fan of the way it sounded today. Like you turned the low tones up too high or something.

Im sure its a good ship and all but I never liked the two sets of torpedo tubes on each side on the german crusiers. Rather have one set of 5 on each side.
Hello! The turning circle is better on the Weimar (650m vs the 690m München)so the slightly better rudder on the München is not really matters. Also better torps, armour and the same reload?! Poor München is properly obsolete.
Munchen is far from obsolete. Bought Weimar yesterday before work and it's a strong ship...but it can't beat the red team by itself. I've played 5 battles in this ship and she has performed admirably, but when you're the only ship still floating after 4-5 minutes the chances of victory are slim...still don't have a win in the Weimar. Tops in team score...but no wins
The people on the sub Reddit complaining about it being op are kinda missing the fact it's basically made of paper considering how many 16" guns it comes up against In Tier6+7 got slapped hard by a JB fist game out in her my mistake thinking I could open water fire then sneak away
I know its two different groups...but I have watched Wargaming allow a tank that literally broke World of Tanks console go unnerfed for 4 months, and they are only now starting to "talk about balancing". This tank is called an Armadillo (i'm sure you can find vids on youtube). That makes me think this will never get nerfed. Its far more profitable for them to release a new cruiser that can counter it for $40.

I've started to notice a lot more people playing cruiser at high tier instead of the BB heavy meta. It makes for much more entertaining games.

Use Roux instead of Scott to up the firestarting. Either Roux/ Von Essen or Roux/ Kuznetzov are good builds.

Hipper, Baltimore, Edinburgh and Wichita are very tanky cruisers.

Munchens torps aren't actually centrally mounted. They're laid into the hull of the ship on either side.
Regardless, Weimar is looking reeeeeeal good
