It's a hit for me. I got it for a mere £14.99 on clearance. I prefer this colour scheme for Fett than the Kenner or movie style. Call me wrong.

Great points raised mate! Calling a spade a spade, love to see it! Would have been nice to see some cell shading to tart this old mold up a bit at the very least.
Cell shading would have been a really nice touch, or at least a new, more angular helmet sculpt with a more animated feel. They pushed the dinghy (couldn't quite manage the full boat) out with the McQuarrie Vader & gave him a new head. They could have done something with this to make it "different."

This figure could of been so much more if Hasbro used the newer ROTJ Boba sculpt but Hasbro in their wisdom decided to use and milk the very, very old, dated Boba sculpt. Even the TVC version uses the newer ROTJ sculpt so why on earth did Hasbro not do the same for the BS release.Hasbro seem to take two steps forward with the BS line but three steps back.Such a shame, this could of been such a stellar Boba release.Great, honest review😎
It honestly baffles me. 🤦♂️ I'd have happily settled for this one & not complained if the price had been lower, but I just don't understand how some of these Anniversary, Gaming Greats & other various exclusives are often nothing more than repaints, but demand a higher price point when there's no new tooling involved. It really makes my brain itch. 😤
@@SithLord229 I know exactly what you mean, i think the guys that must be obeyed at Hasbro just think of a number when it comes to their ridiculous pricing for so called "deluxe" figures and the GG line, it really is getting out of hand and putting a lot of collectors off.Hasbro will only have themselves to blame when the market falls for these figures.

This one is not to be appreciated for the droids show. It's because of the holiday special that the character first appeared. For this reason it's a collectable. 😅🏆

Excellent review man, I couldn't agree more. I mean I don't even collect black series anymore but because I did from launch, I feel ya know, I mean I still pay attention to it all. I am however feeling this sort of thing in the Marvel Legends line, although they are better than ever, when hasbro does a lazy cash in it just makes me sigh.
Well at least they gave us a good aayla black series.
I got the vintage collection version of this figure, wich has that super fantastic relatively new boba mold.
Far superior to this black series one.
And man i love this coloursceme for this boba, its so smooth and soothing to the eyes.
Kinda like it more then the normal boba look..
Oh and that droids show is absolute camp, same for the ewok one.. they're so... frustratingly 80s cartoon... you have to be on some alcoholic beverage with someone else to be able to watch them. Same for those ewok movies.
I'm a collector of the Marvel Legends line by Hasbro as well as the Black Series and I've got to say, ever since it began, the Black Series has felt like a pretty substandard 6" line compared to Marvel Legends: the plastic often feels very rubbery, there's not enough accessories (we don't even get BAF parts or alternative hands/heads like we do with Marvel) and the prices are just ludicrous. Seriously, you pay 30 quid for this Boba Fett when, for less, you could get a really well sculpted and hard plastic Wolverine figure in a VHS-style box with loads of accessories and even an alternate head.

Yeah I wasn’t too big of a fan of this figure either. I was excited to have it but as said the repaint of the Empire Strikes Back sculpt really brought it down. Such a shame the 3.75 rendition of this was done far better than this.
Personally I think Hasbro should have taken the Animated Debut Boba Fett and used that as a template since that was a realistic rendition done really well.
However I have been tempted to buy a second one of these and give it some slight repaints to make it a holiday special one (got a spare Mando Cycler rifle as well so could repaint that too)
They keep going back to this 9 1/2 year old mould from San Diego Comic-con when boba was first released to the public and in America was the first black series figure they ever got . Because they have plenty of that mould to hand and it’s a cheaper figure to manufacture as less parts with less articulation lazy as hell and such a shame they don’t give us the best quality possible

2022 was a really bad year for Black Series in general (Between this, that Jedi Ruins Boba Fett, all those reused parts and that "Black K" figure...), and I really hope Hasbro step up their game for the 40th Anniversary of Jedi next year.
Black Krrsantan was a shambles! An absolutely shocking figure with absolutely zero thought or effort put into it. 😤 They're giving him a second go for the Book of Boba Fett line & they can say it's because they want to make him accurate to his on-screen appearance, but I think we all know it's because of how poorly received that first figure was! 🤡
I ended up caving and getting the War of the Bounty Hunters Boba Fett, and have the same issues pretty much. Literally just an all black repaint of this old sculpt. At least he comes with a new battleaxe I guess? haha. Great review! Not sure if I'll bother with this one I have the old 30th Anniversary holiday special animated Fett figure and that one does it for me for that look.
Yeah not very impressive by Hasbro. Messing up the date is pathetic. I do want the figure. But can’t stand how they mess things up and charge high prices. The current economic situation is real but it’s an excuse for Hasbro.
