  • The Canyon Pro 45 is an excellent cooler! I have had this cooler cooler for 8 months and have come to love the square design, latches, and features.

My fridge died during Covid and it took several months to get the parts to fix it. I picked up a Pro 65 to get us through and it was great. I recently picked up a Pro 45 for fishing trips. They are bomber coolers and keep ice a LONG time.

They are excellent coolers. It seems your choices today are yeti or off brand yeti. Canyon has excellent ice retention, features and I love the square design. I hope more people see what else is out there.

I have both the Outfitter 22 and the Outfitter 55. These two sizes have met all my needs so far and are well worth the $. I bought the 22 on your recommendation, so cheers! Will definitely look into the Cooler Shocks, as well. Do you use the hard-sided packs or just the soft ones? Thanks!

I love the outfitter 22! Still in use with our outfitter. I like the soft cooler shocks, they take up less space in the freezer. Thanks for checking out the video.

Does this cooler actually weigh the 38 pounds advertised by Canyon? My only hang up about this cooler is the weight. It’s significantly heavier than the competition at its size.

It does. It lives in my boat so I’m not hauling it in and out. After over a year of using it, I’m very happy with its ice retention and it’s foot print. I am currently on a heavy cycle of anabolic steroids so I hardly notice the weight.

It's heavier because it has more insulation than other coolers

From AboutTrout to AboutCoolers. For real though, the flush handles are amazing for not catching fly line.

The square design of the cooler and flush handles and latches have reduced fly line tangles to zero.
