Brilliant. (And that sunset makes taking to the sky a no-brainer!)
The moon rising and the sun setting really made it a beautiful evening.
Sweeeeeet!!!
Thanks
Hey, Drone Patrone, My red SlowPoke barely hangs in the air, then stalls and schmucks. I've heard some chatter that the CG is wrong in the manual but nobody seems to know what is right. I have it 80mm from the leading edge of the wing like is shown in the pdf manual. Where is yours? Mine needs some minor repairs and a new prop to come in the mail.
Hey Tentoes,
I have the CG at about the same as you 80-82mm and it flies great. Could you describe with more detail what happens? Does it take off fine then lose power after some time? Does it not really take off and just lifts after a long run on the runway and wont climb? Some things to check just off the top, Aerostar 40A ESC may need to be calibrated to your radio system, the prop adapter can split if over-tightened and cause the prop to slip, prop may be on backwards, battery may be weak or defective.

Did you glue the two wing halves together? It doesn't seem to be necessary, but I have just opened the box and not put mine together yet. I have read comments about the tail wheel being a problem because it comes loose and you cannot get to it because the tail plane is glued in place. Mine has a piece of ply inside and the tail wheel assembly looks good enough. Any comments? This is a brand new Red version that only came back in stock a few months ago.
Oops, I now see that you did glue the wing halves to each other! My bad.
Hi Ken,
Yes, I did glue the wing halves. It just adds to the structural integrity. You might be correct because of how it assembles that it might be overkill but, it can't hurt. I fly off of tall grass a lot and the tail wheel assembly hasn't given me any problems. The SlowPoke is just a fun plane to fly and that's why I still have it in my hangar.
Happy Flying!
