The Knock Up Stream breaking an island in half should be a good example for how insane the Grand Line is, as well as the Log Pose still pointing to that part of the island.
I like how the small Southbirds are bastards, while the big ones are helpful. Their interactions with humans must have been very different throughout the centuries, what with the small ones getting caught by sailors all the time to serve as a compass.
Mikey: "C'mon, it's not God!" Eneru: "are you defying my Godhood, Mortal? i can smite you just as easily as i have smote others with my power. dont doubt me and dont defy me."
Its always best to remember Oda doesnt do anything by chance you should always question everything similar to Stanley Kubric even very small details turn out to mean something.
Despite some of it's pacing issues, I still adore Skypiea as a whole. The worldbuilding is so interesting, there are so many funny moments and some of my favorite characters are there! The reveal in this episode was crazy too!
A lot of things happen in this story that are not chance. Rewatching helps. Obviously editing counts as a rewatch but down the road. You may want to do some sort of recap. You've got a ways to go before that becomes a thing. Poor little Chopper. He was all worried about messing up the ship. I don't think he quite realized that even to Usopp, he is more important. I do love seeing the crew back together. Maybe we can have a little moment of relaxation before everything goes insane again.
Reveals like these is what the anime/manga can take pride in.. In the LiveAction setting, I wonder if we can keep this hidden, given the pacing... lots of people will go - "we reach jaya, then Skypiea, and find land" ~Oh this is definitely the lost city of gold

One Piece gets to become a story where things connect from several episodes before. The foreshadowing is Oda's mark.

The crew interactions are just the best. All their personalities bouncing off each other! Glad you're enjoying this arc. It's about to get wild!

Yes Upper yard/Jaya relation is the main point of this episode.
