It's no surprise that the antagonist (so far) is exploiting the Legends of Nika for their own personal gain. But the real question we should ask is whether or not the SH can really expose the imposter for the fraud they are. Because I am not so sure that having Luffy shift into Gear 5th & beating the false God in front of everyone may change anything. However, I can see it as a good opportunity for Luffy to finally learn about what his DF power really is, and how he'll properly use it to convince everyone that he is the true wielder of the Legendary Zoan of Liberation!

I feel like the sun god is gonna be an exposition device in the near future. Seeing Luffy in gear 5 he may tell Luffy the truth about Nika or maybe he's apart of a group of warriors that worship Nika. In my mind it's a set up to give Luffy the history of the world since he is oblivious and doesn't even know what his own devil fruit actually is.

I’m personally not super invested on the current storyline going on. It just feels like the type of way how a filler arcs from the anime starts off. I also kind of wish Chopper was with the other straw hat crew. He kind of ruins the dynamic from the original 5 East Blue saga crew that I was hoping to see more of. I hope the others get a side arc like how Egghead had but with them as the primary focus.
I'll be seriously disappointed if we don't get to see some good Nami feet during this arc. Robin too, I suppose.

One piece is by far the best anime ever…been a huge dbz and one piece fan for over 26 years now. Dbz is my favorite but man it’s definitely a toss up between dbz and one piece for best anime of all time.
