As always thank you for your informative video. You are the only one that reviews a car completly from performance to luggage and carseats. Thank you. Alex what about a complete video on the Model 3 infotainment screen and many uses? Can your review?
We have Britax seats with a v style rear tether and they go right around the head rests, but the new ones we’re buying don’t. It’s a terrible design flaw in any car.
Fixed headrest is automatic fail for me. No way to talk tether, makes the car seat less safe overall because of the pitch forward or without able to lay fully backward gives it an additional breaking point. It is not designed to sit like that.
Great video. I did hear that you said the center spot is the safest place for the car seat. I agree with you. But why does Tesla say that the center is not the safest and instead they suggest installing the car seat behind either the passenger or the driver. Can you help me with that please. Thank you.
Hi Alex, love your videos and the detailed analysis. I’m a big fan of yours. Question: are the additional speakers turned off via software already or are you speculating it’ll be down the line?
"Mainstream" doesn't go over $60,000. Remember this is smaller than a Jetta. On the other hand it is exactly within the price range of compact luxury sedans. Even Tesla considers themselves a luxury player
Would you possibly consider doing a review or replying to this comment about potentially 3 boosters in the back of a model 3 please (for example, 3 mifold seats or even 3 traditional backless boosters)? I don't see any youtube videos that show 3 booster seats across the back or how difficult it would be for 3 kids to buckle themselves into boosters if there were 3 across the back. The closest I've seen to this is a 2 booster seat configuration. Would 3 fit? Would it be too tight for children to buckle themselves. I've seen 3 adults squeezing into the back and some combinations of traditional carseats, but no videos or even forums with pictures showing 3 booster seats in the back of a model 3. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help on this. We're too far away from a showroom to test this out ourselves right now but are really considering a model3, perhaps with 3 mifold seats.
This is an INCREDIBLE video. You answered every question I had about spacing for car seats in the model 3. PERFECT video. Well done man!
I love the thumbnail, it shows you have a good sense of humor.
Alex also loves his thumb nail.
@@pdd3 lol
I’m 6’4 and wife is 5’10 and my baby rear facing fits fine behind either one of us! Great car for the family’
Mind if I ask which infant seat you used? I’m 6’3” and have been searching for one that will work behind me but haven’t found anything so far.
Love the "exclusive child seat comfort index" thumbnail. That should be a new segment in your reviews going forward.
thanks for doing this extra vid on car seats
Really concise and helpful video 👍

I have that in the works. We will be comparing the basic system to the top end models.
@@AAutoBuyersGuide Thank you! Cannot wait to see the comparrisons
The extend2fit is a lot more compact. A child can easily rear face to 5 6 or 7 years old in that car with that seat.
Finally someone tested it! Now, please do the same for buggies & strollers.
Nice and comfy car seat! Easy to install and wash. Will provide us years of use.

Wow 3 car seats fit! Which seats are those? How wide is each seat? Would be good to know if the Y is any different in spacing.
Very interested to see if the model Y passes your 3 across test.
Would love to see a child seat test on the Tesla Model X.

Love your reviews Alex. I am glad I became a Subscriber. You are thorough with all your reviews and I trust your judgment. Great review.
That thumbnail tho
I wasn't going to use it, but then... I had to LOL
@@AAutoBuyersGuide ...should have stuck with your first instinct. I love you and your channel but that thumbnail got to go.
@@alliejr Awwww
@@alliejr this opinion is wrong.
Very helpful and informative. Straight to the point. Thank you.
great review!
Hahaha loved the thumbnail

Safest is where you get the best install. You also need a top tether for a forward seat. They tell you to use it for a reason.
They have the latch systems there. That’s why they’re recommending that.
In a year or so "Model Y Can it fit any human at all in the 3rd row without them cussing?"
Thank you Alex. Love your reviews, especially the baby ones :)

The rumor is that the amp that powers them is missing.
Why do you keep stating the Model 3 isn't a mainstream EV? It defines mainstream in the EV market.

What carseat were you using?
Hi Alex! Can you state the dimensions of the seats you have used? Or just the name / a linkt to the seats so I can check myself? Thank you very much!
In one of his previous videos, called '2016 Mazda CX-9 Child Seat Review' he said he was using a graco classic ride 50. 18 inches wide.
Please do this for the Model Y.
Someone screenshot all the thumbnails and save them before alex realizes what he has done
That thumbnail is nightmare fuel XD
Model S any better?
If you hit a mean bump, will the persons head bang into the glass roof?

Jeffrey Gardner, did you get your answer from other resources?
Umm... why is the roof glass busted of the car? How?! /:-
Is the front passenger upper glass roof damaged?
What model of child seats did you test?
Extremely cursed thumbnail image
Any links to those car seats like to get some
ROFL at the thumnail
That horrible tint though.
I want a Tesla so bad
This is crap. 3 child seats acreoss the back row with sufficient legroom..why is it so hard..
You would not buy that car if you had 3 children so a pointless test.
I do have 3 kids and I still want this car .so it was a very helpful video for me
Actually, I have 3 kids and I just bought this car.
not sturdy at all. made very cheap. avoid this product.
It’s very unsafe to have the seat anywhere else than the middle! And it’s so disappointing!
