- Hello everyone! On today's Nintendo Wii Tutorial I'm going to show you the easiest way to back up and play your Wii games\Iso's. Hmmm, unfortunately Wi-Fi is a must. The only things that I could recommend is
If you have a hotspot on your cell phone that allows you to transform your data into a Wi-Fi connection try using that.
Or, bring your wii over to a friend's house and do it there

Did you ever consider doing a video about adding and playing Wii games found online as WBFS files? I don't have the slightest idea how to do that.
For anyone who sees this, I was following step by step and connected to internet, but when I loaded back into cios installer to install over the 250 section instead of 249, an error message comes up saying "net_limit" and the 250 is covered with the red markings instead saying failed. Any help would be much appreciated.
Sounds like it's a problem with your internet, there is an offline tutorial that you can attempt as well

I have a few questions.
1.can I have USB loader gx and run wads? Because from what I understand you can only have one or the other.
2. How do you put back ups on a fat 32 drive? Because fat 32 only allows you to put a file up to 4 gb on at a time and a lot of wii games are over 4gb?
I'm not sure where you got your information from, but both your questions are false
USB loader is a separate application, wads are a separate thing as well
I have a 128 GB SD card (fat 32) in my wii and Wii U right now
I will answer number 1….yes you can put WiiWare titles using USB Loader GX

It actually converts to wbfs and sometimes it devides it in to 2 parts

Is there a way to get wii game data from the storage on the wii to an sd card or usb drive?
You should be able to copy your game save data through the wii settings

For whatever reason, the d2x cIos Installer and USB Loader GX aren’t showing up in the homebrew channel, even after I followed the tutorial.
Wii backup manager has formatting option to format 64 gb usb drive.

All wii's can connect to the Internet, if yours can't the wifi chip is broken or your ISP is blocking the connection of your Wii

5:00 i dont have that cIOS versoin, the nearest i have is d2x-v11-beta1 the others are d2x v6, d2x v5 and d2x v4 what do i do in that case?

On the official website with the tutorial, and other tutorials, it shows that the 429 cios slot needs to be installed with 57 cios base. However, on some tutorials, like this one, it shows the 429 cios slot installed with the 56 cios base. Does it matter which needs to be installed?
No not entirely, should be fine not installing one unless whatever your trying to play requires it
What if you ripped the iso file from the disc to the PC
Could you take the ISO file from that and then install without popping in the disc inside the Wii?
You probably could, I'm sure it would require some special software though
So ive been having this problem for a week now. Whenever i try launching usb loader gx, it gets stuck on “Reinitializing Devices” and i don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I have followed all of the steps exactly how they are. Ive even tried getting usb loader gx off of the open shop channel and it does the same thing
Your usb device probably isn't compatible

I keep trying to backup my games using usbloadergx but when installing the game, it gets stuck on the percentage screen that tells you how much is complete and time left until it installs. It’s annoying because I really want to backup my Mariokart Wii copy ! :(
How many times have you tried it? Could be you disk is dirty or damaged
Would this work for game discs that are to scratched up to boot normally?
No, because it wouldn't be able to read them
Say I *aquired* a wbfs file, do I just put it in the \wbfs folder on the root of the USB? Or do I make a new folder in \games, and put the wbfs there?
If you backed up a game already, you would put it in the exact same file structure as you would ripping the game your self. Pretty much drag and drop

Does this also backs up the saves of the wii games??
I would say no because the game saves are stored in a different part of the Wii, not on the disc itself

for the cios installer I get a fail message when I try doing the first installation. The 249 wont show green, but the 150 did. What am I doing wrong?

i got a beefy ass 2 terabyte hard drive, does that work? i have a 16 gb flash drive too but i really wanna use the hard drive

it should, in terms of size, yea i run a 2 tb, but if the drive is capable (which is highly likely) then its a go, might take some extra setup though

When I try to install a Wii game to my 64 gb USB stick, it pops up with 100% from the start and is stuck there. I let it sit there for 10 minutes and still nothing. Gamecube games work fine but not Wii

Are they in a WBFS format? Did you use the wii backup manager to fix your files?

Some games don't seam to work when install like Rayman raving rabbids 2. And also Mario kart will start but after the warning screen its just a black screen. Any idea how to fix any of this?
New Super mario bros. wii seams to work fine. And I got it to work with gamecube games as well and they work fine. The gamecube game are also save on the SD card. Idk if its is the USB flashdrive or something else with the settings maybe.
Also The SD card is a SanDisk Ultre 32 GB and the flash drive is a PNY 32gb.
Hmmm It could be a number of things honestly. It could definitely be your flash drive because the Wii is very picky.
But it could also be the format that your flash drive is, I'm assuming you tried fat 32 as a format on the flash drive? Maybe try ntfs instead and see what results you get
@@BelowAverageGaming I'm getting a sandisk 256gb soon so maybe that will help maybe. Also It mite be v10 beta53 I look up stuff about it and maybe that's it. Going to change it to beta52 when I can. I hade to use someones else internet because spectrum router wont let me connect to it for some reason. So getting a ethernet cable adapter soon to connect to my modem. I'll respond if it worked out or not.
All right I'm done trying. I can't figure it out I quit. The wii brick both of my new 256gb flash drives I payed over $70 for. Nothing working only gamecube games work. What a waste of money and time with this BS. I looked every where online for help and got nothing. Never again with this BS. I do not understand why yours is working fine but mine is not. I did every step by step and end up with nothing. Fucking bull shit! I'm so fucking mad right now.

No unfortunately there isn't unless you can change it in the Wii settings

When you first set up your Wii, you have an option to select 16x9 or 4x3
