A similar feature is Shape >>> Imagine & Shape >>> IMA-Symmetry This works similarly. If you use Visual Sym Part, Catia automatically adds a new part like "Sym Part ....". To use this, you must be in the assembly section. IMA-Sym automatically adds an element like "Subdivision Symmetry.1" into the same batch. There is no obligation to be in the assembly when using this.

XV5 and IMA have both the "visual symmetry" function which visually simmetrize everything you model in realtime along a selected plane.
