    I'd have gone for the beef meal rather than the chicken myself. Good video. It's either EVA or Thai Airways for me, depending on which is cheaper at the time.

    I found the seats on the THAI 787 in Econ really hard and uncomfy. I actually asked for an extra blanket to sit on. They've since changed this flight to a 777 I believe. Thanks again for the informative and enjoyable video.

      The first time I went to Thailand, was when I was about nearly 4 years old but I didn't go with Thai, I went with British Airways but on a Boeing 777. We flew out from Heathrow and landed at Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi Airport didn't open until late 2006. I went 4 times to Thailand, one time with Qantas when they were doing a direct flight to Sydney via Bangkok, one time with EVA AIR and in 2019 with Thai before the pandemic started. It's just memories!

    I was on Thai Airways business class last two months. The food in Business Class is still good but some services were cut and quite erratic. The outbound and inbound were so different. After watching your vlog, I guess I might try to avoid to be in Economy class on Thai Airways on long haul then. Did they set up a snack bar after the meal service? Do crew go round the cabin with drinks during mid flight? If you fly with EVA or Singapore Airlines, I guess their food are way better. But you still can see some service are cut down. Great sharing btw. Hope to see more of your vlogs on long haul flights.

    • @getawaycation
      @getawaycation  Год назад +1

      They didn't offer sandwiches or drinks after meal anymore. Cabin crews disappeared during the flight. Only saw them on my first meal after take off and second meal before landing 😅
      P.S. No pillows on my return flight tho.... lol

    • @Dragflyer9669
      @Dragflyer9669 Год назад +1

      @@getawaycation OM..G..! Alright I will definitely avoid Thai Airways' for long haul. At least EVA and SQ crew would round the cabin almost every 30 mins with a tray of water or basket of snack despite all lights are dimmed. Mini snack bar is set up in the galley too. By the way, "no pillow" is totally beyond the pale. no way! Thanks for sharing btw.

    • @getawaycation

      Yeah, I saw code share flights from/to London on EVA website but operated by TG. Obviously, some flights are almost 100 £ cheaper than booking on TG official website 😃

  • @cabovermike
    @cabovermike Год назад +1

    All in all i would say that went well, how would you rate Thai out of 10 ?,. i,m looking at Thai and Eva flights for late november, prices with both airlines (no agencies) £750 thai and £650 eva (approx) i may have to change return dates and thai is cheaper option for flight/date change than eva,. some cheap agency flights on Jetcost for thai/eva, i,m tempted to try !

    • @getawaycation

      I would give TG 7 out of 10 😅
      I am flying to Bangkok again in Jan 2023 but will probably try Eva. Not sure how Eva is now cos I also flew with them before Covid pandemic. TG arr and dep time actually suit me but will see how is my return flight to Heathrow with TG next week then make up my mind again TG or Eva for my Jan 2023 trip 😁

      TG has 2 flights a day. Morning flight is B787 Dreamliner with Business and Economy. Night flight is B777-300ER with First Class as well. They now use A350 for Copenhagen, Stockholm, Munich, Frankfurt, Hongkong, Korea, Japan ect. 😊
