Dude after watching some of your videos I started buying people’s dvd lots. Got two boxes for $20 and there were 2 movies I’ve never heard of that I sold for around $30 each! I actually sold the rest of the lot for what I paid for it. So basically just got a free $60 hah. Thanks man!

"I know it's crazy people are still buying DVDs..." why wouldn't people buy DVDs? they're cheap, they look ok, not everything is on streaming services or blu-ray, and you can play them in anything.

I've sold plenty of DVDS, love selling them. Got to give Tatted Collector a big thanks for putting me on to them. A few good ones to look out for are the limited edition original uncut Star Wars DVDS. I paid $20 for two sets of them and sold both for $50, earning me an easy $100. Another one is the Walt Disney Treasures. I bought the Annette one for $2 at Goodwill and sold it for $55 on eBay.
This is an awesome tip! We have nothing BUT DVD's at my stores haha. Also, if you ever look for VHS, Model Behavior with Justin Timberlake sells for like 20-30. Just recently found this out.

It's just not oop dvd's that can go for big money. There's many oop blu ray's now. Check out the prices for Airheads, Dutch, The Pick-up Artist, Dying Young, Lucas, License To Drive, The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane (all those titles are Anchor Bay blu rays). Swamp Thing, Leviathan, Deadly Eyes, Slumber Party Massacre II & III double feature, Stigmata, Lady In White (all those are Scream Factory blu rays). LaBamba, Breaking Away, The Buddy Holly Story, Runaway Train, At Close Range (all those are Twilight Time blu rays). No Man's Land, Across 110th Street, Cotton Comes To Harlem, Modern Girls, Solar Babies (all those are Kino Lorber blu rays). Dead Alive & Near Dark blu ray's from Lion's Gate.This is just a small selection of blu rays that are oop that i own commanding big money.
Major props for including the clip of Leo Moracchioli!! And selling OOP DVDs is my favorite!! Im always looking at yard sales, thrift stores, and pawn shops for them. They can usually be bought for a $1 or less and bring in some serious cash! Apocalypto on DVD and Bluray I have sold many times, as well as Spice World. I havent found the 101 Dalmations or Daddy's Dying. Great video Rick!!

The US and UK dvd resell markets are completely different. Apocalyto going for 1p today on ebay, and Disney were probs planning a re-release of 101 Dalmations coz that'd worth nothing either over here.
i have 3000 dvds i just found one by gioldie hawn from 1979 and the case looks like it is a ore recorded copy, i found the special edition collectors edition of anna and the green gables from 2001 i have so many it take hours just to look through them

I used to sell a lot of DVDs, but then I had to buy a new phone. The problem is that with the new iPhone, the scanning of this barcode does not work properly... Does anyone know what this problem ?
There was a website i used to use but its gone now...i usually just check ebay. Amazon is helpful sometimes too! The big key is just to look for obscure titles when you are out there hunting

Also worth noting Dogma 2 disc special edition directed by Kevin Smith - worth $10-$20. I found one at a swap meet years ago for $1 and sold it for $25. The blu Ray version is extremely rare $60+
Here's the big issue, over 200 sales and you have to file taxes. 10-15 dollar items are a dime a dozen and not worth it unless it's a business for you.
where im from in NYC the trifts and garage sales ect are trash. they sed to be good but nowadays u cant come across anything good. the real places to go are like rural areas NJ PA or anywhere for that matter. as far as the dvds i would think if it has a curtain amount of wear on the disk is pretty much worth less then half of the asking price
Good find Damien.80-90's tv is sometimes the best wheelhouse for OOP TV since so much of that era is the perfect wheelhouse of music rights issue that keep it off streaming but not also not old-niche enough that the audience is too small and been forgotten by generations of consumers.
You know I was looking for the Movie "Poltergeist part 2" to show my nieces and nephews, on Netflix, it was not there, then I look online, it was there (only 1 site) It looked terrible and the sound was out of sync, thats when I thought that I wished I had the dvd to end my struggles. Recently I got Friday The 13th 1 through 8, those aren't worth a lot of money, but I love those movies the same as I love Nightmare on Elms Street movies, im not a dvd collector, but those movies I had to have.
@@R-Lee- Why regretting? Because I'm considering getting rid of boxes full of dvds that I haven't touched in years. I doubt it's worth the time and effort to go through all of them individually, post a for sale ad for each and then package and ship them, and that's if someone buys them.

I bought a Vision Quest DVD for $29 last year. I wanted that movie and found it at a price I can afford. I watched the movie and felt very happy about the purchase. A tank of gas costs $80 in my country, so why is $29 too high a price? And why are DVDs not acceptable to some people if the movie is hard to find on Blu Ray or 4K? Plus my eyesight isn't 20/20, so why do I care about buying 4k movies anyways?
The key is to get these dvds for next to nothing and then flip. If you get some dead product, best case scenario would be to sell them to Decluttr or a similar site. As long as you don’t over pay. The fact that apocalypto on dvd still commands a high premium on dvd is crazy. You can get the digital HD version for less.
I discovered decluttr today, but not sure if I'll be using it. I mean, I've only looked up a couple titles, and most werent accepted, and the ones that were, I would only be getting 22 cents haha. Hard to make a profit off of something worth 22 cents.
Good info on what dvds to look for. Obscure titles you've never heard of is a hell of a good start since a lot of the money dvds are out of print ones. If apocalypto sold at the same rate as Super Mario world I would certainly scoop it up but you'll be waiting a lot longer to sell that than you would the game but it's still a good point. If it's eventually going to sell and you can pick it up cheap grab it there's no reason not to
I can see if the media was still sealed can be worth alot by chance but if not and not sealed any then i dont see how can be worth much even flipping. i think once u start flipping stuff u feel u gotta do it more then u competeing for sales by try under cut others by chance anytime.

Damn. I have about 200 to 300 DVDs give and take where I am planning to discard in the recycle bin. This clip gave me some hope of selling them online but most of the titles I have are common movies, not the rare ones. So perhaps not sought after in the market and cost peanuts or none at all.
Try bundling them. If not by series, you could try by actor, by director or by genre, whatever. 1 of those DVDs may only be worth a few dollars, but bundling several similar titles may bring that sale up to $15-20. Just do the research and see what might work.
I bought a DVD of Disney's "Song of the South" at an estate sale. It appears to be a pirate copy of the British release. It plays perfectly with no region issues.
recently bought the matrix dvd at the thrift store for $2 not good price will go up since the matrix movie heading back to theaters i wouldn't mind watching it in 4k hd quality but watching it at home seems better

I actually have the 2008 release of Glenn Close 101 Dlamatians in its original slipcover. Still haven't heard of some of these.

The ones you're looking at are modded with games on them. Usually console only original xboxs go for $40 on eBay.

Always keep looking them up each time even if you sold that title before. If they start printing it again, the value drops.

Damn. I have about 200 to 300 DVDs give and take where I am planning to discard in the recycle bin. This clip gave me some hope of selling them online but most of the titles I have are common movies, not the rare ones. So perhaps not sought after in the market and cost peanuts or none at all.
Try bundling them. If not by series, you could try by actor, by director or by genre, whatever. 1 of those DVDs may only be worth a few dollars, but bundling several similar titles may bring that sale up to $15-20. Just do the research and see what might work.
I had the same amount and it takes forever selling them off locally. I eventually pawned them.
The movies i like are on vhs and dvd , not blu ray!
Hopefully u sold those apocalypse movie there releasing a bluray soon or already have and u may get stuck with them

I bought a DVD of Disney's "Song of the South" at an estate sale. It appears to be a pirate copy of the British release. It plays perfectly with no region issues.
recently bought the matrix dvd at the thrift store for $2 not good price will go up since the matrix movie heading back to theaters i wouldn't mind watching it in 4k hd quality but watching it at home seems better

Apocalypto DVD Here in UK is like $2 on Ebay and it's flooded with them
The weird thing about these DVDs is that none of those have any value here in Sweden, we have our own valuable DVDs :P
In Sweden, Dvd's sell for almost nothing.. Looked up that 101 dalmatians and it sold for around $3.
