FAILED Camping in 50mph Winds | Spicy Noodles EVERYWHERE | Joshua Tree and Death Valley NP

Howdy and welcome to the second video of our 31 day Road Trip across the West Coast!!
Our time spent in Joshua Tree and Death Valley was supposed to be a couple days longer, however it was so hot that there wasn't much to do. Rangers don't recommend hikes over a couple of miles due to heat exhaustion and we didn't want to increase the odds of encountering any snakes.
Due to this expedited tour of these two parks, we decided to camp in the Mojave desert. Little did we know this was a terrible idea. The winds were strong, but we thought parking behind a hill would help. Unfortunately, it did not. There was dust everywhere and the winds kept getting stronger and stronger. This ended up being our first night sleeping upright in the 4runner :'(

We do have one though, just decided we didn’t need it. Doesn’t make sense to pack things you don’t need - especially when they’re large and heavy
