Snow Flurries at Rainier National Park | Silver Falls hike, mossy vegetation, and hot springs
Howdy and welcome back to another vlog!!
Today is a little bit of a different day as it marks our first day in Washington! We didn’t get much sleep and it rained just about all night with temperatures in the low 30’s. Definitely one of the colder nights we’ve experienced up until this point. Nonetheless, we were stoked to explore Rainier!
Unfortunately, snow flurries and fog were keeping us from some of the prettiest views of the park. To combat the less than ideal weather, we were encouraged to head to lower elevations and hike Silver Falls. It was incredible!! The water was so blue, the vegetation was mossy and wet, and there were some natural hot springs as well.

Good choice on staying away from Portland with all your stuff in your car. My car has been broken into three times and there was nothing inside to take. I don't leave anything in my car even when I go to the gas station. The bookstore is pretty cool... But not really worth it. I wish I could have given you some really cool things to see that didn't cost $20 to park. Stay safe and enjoy Washington!

I can't deal with my girlfriend back in 1973 in the Redwood Forest, the trees seemed much bigger than. in the morning we awoke to something licking at our feet that were sticking out the front door of the tent, I looked out the flap and it was a deer. what a beautiful place it was😢

@@deadlead03 we actually saw a few last time we were there!! They ran off by the time we got to them though. There’s so many signs of them in the grasslands but they can be hard to find

Y'all need some solar panels, to depend on and you guys carry a lot of stuff that you won't even use . sleeping in the car would be better a tent can't handle Winter I guess
@@Socc3r_savage solar panels would be so dope!! Definitely something we’d like to get but they can be expensive. We learned on this trip that sleeping in the car would be so much easier for ease of parking anywhere. Definitely something to look into :)

@@richardson_adventures Clouds Rest, Upper Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point. Clouds Rest being the most difficult and Glacier Point the easiest of the three.
@@seansean681 fun!! We didn’t do clouds rest but we definitely thought about it. Heard it has a beautiful view from the other side of half dome. Next time!! :)

@@thehoofersclub seems a little overkill for canned food 😅 We do have one though, just decided we didn’t need it. Doesn’t make sense to pack things you don’t need - especially when they’re large and heavy
my boyfriend and I recently went to sequoia and did the same sherman trail. the next trip out there we plan on camping in the forest so this video was very nice and informative!! 🌲🏕️
