  • We are loving camping in the high country in the autumn months. The colours of the trees are just making it so enjoyable.
We do share with you a problem with the chev and needs to be changes ASAP. We stumble on an amazing camp with breath taking views. Deryck tries his luck at fishing and puts in the effort. We cook up something different on the camp fire and enjoy a few cold beverages with our mates with plenty of laughs.
We continue onto another riverside camp just on the border of Victoria and New South Wales with the weather being superb just outside Walwah.
We hope you enjoyed this episode and are enjoying the content we are bringing to you from this amazing place. Please help us by subscribing to our channel and liking this episode if you enjoyed it.

Welcome to Gods Country 😊..!! Yes it’s different from from the west/north coast but absolutely something special as you’re finding out. From Mitta to the beautiful Kiewa Valley and surrounds, you won’t be disappointed

And the “Venetian blinds” track is one of our favourites. Very “Eddie Vedder”
Glad to see you guys loving the truck!
Stay safe and hopefully will see ya down the road😁👍

Hey guys the porpoising you’re feeling is more to do with the distance between the rear axle and the hitch than the suspension. I’m on my second Silverado and the best thing you’ll do for the “feel” when towing is an airbag hitch of some description. I use an ozglide hitch with ours and there is literally zero feedback from the caravan to the vehicle, even on my newest, bone stock Silverado identical to yours.

    Guys! Wow!
    Long time viewer, first-time commenter.
This hit some spots hard. I was born in that area, so seeing it again just brought a massive flood of happy memories.
From the colours of the trees to swimming in the rivers, even caught my first fish.
    Incredible
    Thanks legends ❤

Gorgeous scenery. What a beautiful part of Australia to get into! Deryck , you're going to have to lift your game with the fishing. All the expert trout fishermen reckon you have to be ready quietly and sneak up to the river edge, hide behind a tree and gently cast so not to spook the fish. Good luck.

Nice spot eh? Just up the road from us! You need to slow down on the retrieval of a tassie devil! It’s meant to swim like a wounded fish. Did you know the camp is named as a memorial to Katie Peters who sadly lost her life whilst fighting a bushfire in the area. For years it was just scrub before they developed it. You got the best spot on the Mitta river there guys

Running bubble float filled with water. Spiders mud eyes. Grub hooks, open bail. Big trout with jaw, use the mouth to stun the mudeye, then they will run with it. Wait until the line stops, then strike.

Oh my. I enjoyed that. In my experience trout fishing, I've found that on a dull day, use a dull dark colored lure & on a sunny day, use a bright colored lure. Trout are often under overhanging trees catching insects thst hit he water. If you can cast your line under those overhanging trees you'll have better luck than casting out into the middle of the river.
    Love your episodes.

Going from the 79 to the new vehicle do you think you are going to be restricted on four-wheel-drive tracks as I tow with a 200 series and it’s one of the things that is stopping me buying same size vehicle you’re driving now? What are your thoughts?

    • @justvanningit

Im sure there will be tracks that will limit us but I'm sure there will be these American trucks attempting some tracks in the future. there are already some going up the cape and doing the old telegraph track etc.

The mitta mitta camp was so gooooood. So the porpoising is from the ridicules size of shocks on them from factory. I believe a new set of shocks, airbags and geny bitch fixes that.
