- The Flintstone House is an eccentric house in Hillsborough, California. It was designed in 1976 by William Nicholson and most recently purchased by Florence Fang in 2017 for $2.8 million. Large dinosaur statues and other Flintstone-themed artwork cover the front and back yards. Town officials from Hillsborough sued Florence Fang, stating that her property doesn't comply with the community's code.

I love this house. I drive by it all the time. It is not an eyesore. It’s stupid that she is getting sued.

When the white guy own it , the city was ok with it. Now we have a Asian owner, the city wants it demolished.
Guvugv Fucubi I don’t care about the race of the owners, however the previous owner did not have all the yard sculptures. I guess that’s what the city is opposed to.

I've been seeing that house and watching it progress over the last couple of decades. The city of Hillsdale and its residents are stupid to call it an eyesore. It's the only reason anyone knows who your bullshit dank ass town is and where it is on the map. I hope the city loses its case and it becomes incorporated by San Francisco. Then all the homeless people can move in and leave their "shit" sculptures all over your streets.

I've delivered mail there a handful of times - but only a handful since it's not my regular route. Driven past it on 280 many times.

I’m slightly older now but I remember driving by this as a kid and remembering how amazing it was to see such a thing in real life and how much I would’ve loved to live there.
If I lived there, I'd NEVER leave! That is my Dream House plus I'm a Huge Fan of The Flintstones!

I drove by to that place. Its never an eyesore at all. Its actually one the interesting spot whenever i drove by in I-280.
I am doubtful and I am thinking twice. I think if only the owner is white, i dont think there will be a lawsuit that will be filed. Rather, the neighbors would even glorify this house for its uniqueness.

@@rockman469 what are you smoking. I am saying that the city has no legal grounds to base their lawsuit and it will get dismissed as soon as a judges precides over the matter. Your opinion or anyone's opinion doesn't count in a legal court.
@@Pedro-qm1of - You were correct. Mrs Fang won and the city has to PAY here $125,000 for her legal troubles and will gurantee her that she can do any updates she wants (after applying for a permit) with no more legal actions against her.
Moral of the story: City should have just left her alone, they are kicking themselves in the a$$ as it COST them for their stupidity

OMG I loved that house the first time I saw it 20 years ago from highway 280 bridge :-). It used to be light sand colored those days and reminded me of some sort of Star Wars landscape. I didnt love it after they painted it brick red, but this latest theme is fun and different. The neighbors sound like real shits. For years seeing that house on the way to work made me smile and feel the California spirit - individuality, whimsy, friendly, and fun. Stay strong Florence! One of the cars you see out your window is probably mine✌️
A friend of mine tried to drop by and see if Fred & Wilma still lived there...lol 😁 Jokingly, they were there along with Barney and Betty but as statues! He left satisfied 😊

As an Automatic Gate Contractor I have done many Projects in Hillsboro and there is more to the Story...Hillsboro is a Very Wealthy Comunity to the likes of Bing Crosby! Hillsboro has no Commercial Business of any kind within its City Limits...its strictly Residential and the City Zoning Laws kept to a Very High Standard. Never-the-Less...I would be Honored to have this House next door to me if I lived in Hillsboro!

Wow, 3:13, The Big Orange Splot! I remember that book! My second grade teacher read it to us in 1989. I thought how crazy and rude all the neighbors were. Now as an adult living amongst HOAs that will put a lien on your house for driving the wrong car, regardless of how new it is, I realize that this book was no joke. Everyone must live in the same boring house and drive the same boring car. How dare someone wanting to be different?
Ma'am, please SUE those faux 'officials' back personally for violating the Constitution and the losses and harm that they have forced upon you and your PRIVATE property. Sue them for the damages they inflicted PERSONALLY, and perhaps their whole office needs a mass lawsuit against them PERSONALLY as well for allowing this and I can imagine many, many others.

Now I personally DONT like everything about it, but I’m not gonna go whine and cry about what my neighbor decides to build or adorn on land that they bought, and pay taxes on. That’s just petty and selfish, and not the American way…. That’s why our country has all kinds of houses that reflect the owners personalities and lifestyles, instead of bleak concrete apartment blocks that are all the same and government-mandated.
All houses should be built like that. Is durable and can stand against twister and storms.
